3 Page no.: GENERAL 1.1 Scope This specification defines the Israel Electric Corporation (I.E.C.) technical requirements for leather protector gloves used with rubber. I.E.C. Cat No: for leather protector gloves used with rubber gloves size 8"-8½" for leather protector gloves used with rubber gloves size 9" for leather protector gloves used with rubber gloves size 10" for leather protector gloves used with rubber gloves size 11" 1.2 Application The leather protector gloves will be used with rubber gloves to provide mechanical protection in low voltage live line work (class 0). 1.3 Quality Assurance The manufacturer shall submit with his offer any evidence, such as a certificate from an independent quality system evaluation organization or other documents, to prove that his quality assurance program is according to the latest version of ISO 9001.

4 Page no.: Scope of the Bid The Bidder shall send to the I.E.C together with his offer the following items and documents: Relevant page of manufacturer s catalog One sample of each proposed items per specification Quality Assurance Certificate Completed and filled in Summary of data 2 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 2.1. The leather protector gloves shall be manufactured according to Standards ASTM F The size of leather protector glove shall be such as to allow the leather protector glove to be worn over rubber glove (see paragraph 1.1). 2.3 Overall length of leather protector glove shall be 11±1½". 2.4 The leather protector glove shall be straight cuff style. 2.5 The leather protector glove shall be equipped with a nonmetallic pull strap. 2.6 Weight of one pair of gloves shall be 350g maximum. 2.7 Each leather protector glove shall be clearly marked as to the following: - the hand size of the rubber glove over which the leather protector glove is worn; - the name of manufacturer of leather protector glove; - the overall length of the leather protector glove; - the catalog number of leather protector glove.
