2 Sears Holdings Management Corporation (SHMC) Floor Ready Guidelines Introduction These guidelines provide information on Label (Main & Care), Packaging & Tags, Instructions for Packing, and Hanger/Store Presentation (if applicable). These guidelines pertain to all Men s, Women s, Boys, Girls and Newborn/Infant/Toddler product categories shipped to SHMC which include Accessories, Blazers, Bottoms, Dresses, Intimates, Outerwear, Sets, Swimwear (includes Bodywear and Dancewear), Tops and Footwear. Please note that specific hanger usage for each product category is not included in this manual. For hanger usage, Kmart vendors should refer to the Kmart Floor Ready Hanger Manual/Kmart Hanger & Accessories Manual in the Vendor Guides and Reference folder on MySearshc.com. Sears vendors should refer to the Sears Hanger & Accessories Manual located in the Guides and Reference section of Sears Business Exchange. TOP VIEW CENTER BACK SEAM EARMUFFS: : For earmuffs with material on the head band portion, attach through CARE and CONTENT label. : For earmuffs without material on the head band portion, use a securitack to attach around the head band. 4 ACCESSORIES Cold Weather, Knitwear, Fashion Scarves All Categories ACC.CW.ALL.02 Unless otherwise specified, attach labels as described below. HATS: : Insert a loop MAIN label into the center back seam, 2 up from bottom of hat. If hat has a cuff, label should be inserted into the back seam, 2 up from 2 bottom of fold (as shown). For reversible garments, use a tear-out ticket/sticker placed at the same location. : Insert a loop MAIN label into the wearer s left side seam, 2 up from bottom of hat. If hat has a cuff, label should be inserted into the wearer s left 2 side seam, 2 up from fold. For reversible garments, use a tear-out ticket/sticker placed at the same location. GLOVES: : Insert INTEGRATED loop label (brand, care and content, country of origin) into wearer s left out seam of glove/mitten, 1 down from wrist seam/cuff. : Tack INTEGRATED label into wearer s left glove/mitten at wrist seam. SCARF: Sew End Fold MAIN label. Sew label 1 in from selvage and 1 up from bottom. Integrated CARE & CONTENT label is attached to bottom of MAIN label, centered. RUANA: Attach an End Fold MAIN label 1 down from neck edge or seam, centered. A combined CARE & CONTENT should be attached to of bottom edge of MAIN label (as shown), centered width-wise. If packaging/tags are required attach as described in this section. > Hangtag: Use 1 swift-attachment to attach as shown below for each style (unless otherwise specified). > Generic Price Ticket: Swift-Attach blank side of price ticket to back side of hangtag. Hangtag front must be visible. > Generic Hangtag/Garment Feature Hangtag or Sticker: Adhere to headwear as directed in product specification package or by the Buyer. KNIT HATS Attach hangtag and J hook through TOP center of crown. RUANA : Attach hangtag through the back side of CARE/CONTENT label in garment s neck. : Attach through the inside seam allowance of the wearer s left side. SCARVES Hangers are specified in the product - Preferred Attach the hangtag/price ticket through sewn-in care label with a 1 securitach. - Secondary Attach the hangtag/price ticket through the first two fold layers of scarf using a 1 securitach, 3/4 down from hanger bottom. GLOVES/MITTENS - 1 PAIR : Attach hangtag/price ticket and plastic J hook through the top center of cuff. The plastic J hook should be positioned between gloves/mittens. Only swift-tack through palm side of second glove to allow customer to try LEFT glove/mitten on for size. Gloves should be attached palm to palm. : For leather gloves attach hangtag through lining only. OPTION 3: For ski gloves attach wearer s right palm to wearer s left back. GLOVES/MITTENS - MULTIPLE PAIRS : Swift-attach plastic J hook between the pairs. Swift-tack through one side of second glove/mittento allow customer to try glove/mitten for size. Hangtags are swift-attached through just the outside of the front glove/mitten.when viewed from the front, J-Hook should face left, thumbs should face right. : Swift-attach plastic J hook between the inside glove/mitten of each pair. Place header card over wrist of all gloves/ mitten pairs, Swift-attach through both sides of the header card. Brand name should be visible when viewing the front. Thumbs and J-Hook face the RIGHT when viewed from the front. Place no more than 6 pieces to one polybag. Alternate prior to placing into polybag. Individual Polybags will only be used for delicate fabrics (ie., satin, velour, velvet, corduroy, leather) and highly detailed styles (ie., flowers, bows, etc.). Use individual polybags only if noted in product HAT & GLOVE/MITTEN SET Attach hangtag/price ticket and plastic J hook through the top center of cuff. The plastic J hook should be positioned between gloves. Swift-tack through the hat, right glove/mitten and inside cuff of left glove. Gloves should be attached palm to palm. HAT, SCARF & GLOVE/MITTEN SET ADULT: : Hang scarf through hanger and Swift-attach gloves on left and hat on right as shown. : Hang scarf through hanger and Swift-attach gloves over hat centered as shown. CHILDREN: Place scarf under hat with J-Hook inbetween. Place gloves/mittens over hat as shown. Swift-attach all pieces together at left, center and sides to secure.. 5 ACCESSORIES Handbags, Messenger Bags, Backpacks, Slings, Fanny Packs, Belt Bags, Clutch Bags, Coin Purses, Smoke Totes, Wallets All Product Categories ACC.HNDBG.03 Unless product specification package states otherwise, attach as described below. > Attach MAIN, CARE and CONTENT labels as specified in the product specification package or by the Buyer. > Be sure country of origin (COO) labels align to regulatory guidelines as needed. If packaging/tags are required attach as described in this section. > Hangtag: Use 1 securitach to attach as shown below for each style (unless noted otherwise). > Generic Price Ticket: Swift-attach blank side of price ticket to back side of hangtag. Hangtag front must be visible. > Feature Hangtag/Sticker: Adhere to product as directed in product specification package or by the Buyer. HANDBAG/MESSENGER WITH STRAPS Attach the hangtag/price ticket around strap or through ring. > Unless otherwise specified, follow these guidelines for packing product into cartons. > Fill product with stuffing as outlined in the product > Provide additional protection for any metal or fragile ornamentation on the product. > Place each item in a polybag. For leather or vinyl products, the polybags must include air holes. > Alternate when placing into cartons for shipping. TISSUE CLUTCH BAG, WALLET, COIN PURSE, SMOKE TOTE, EYEGLASS CASE, MAKEUP POUCH, BILL FOLD : Attach the hangtag/price ticket around strap or through rivet hole of frame joint. : Attach the hangtag/price ticket through hole at end of zipper pull. OPTION 3: Attach the hangtag/price ticket through zipper tape closest to the zipper pull. 1 2 OPTION 3 CLUTCH WITHOUT FRAME Attach the hangtag/price ticket through the seam at top of clutch or inside handle. Ticket must hang on outside of clutch. BACKPACK/SLINGS Attach hangtag/price ticket at ONE of the following locations: (A) Around handle (B) Through hole at end of zipper pull (C) Through zipper tape at left side A 3 A FANNY PACK/BELT BAG Attach the hangtag/price ticket around strap OR through webbing (A) or through hole at end of zipper pull (B). Top of label should begin 8 1/5 from center front point of tie. > CARE label: Loop label sewn into left seam, back side of narrow end, centered. > FEATURE label: End sew label on left seam of tie back of tie front. MAIN label TIE CARD > Tie Card: Fold Tie Card using self-adhesive to close around middle of tie. Tuck bottom of Tie Care in and under end sew MAIN label. > Hangtag: Use 1 swift-attachment to attach end sew MAIN label. 8 1/2 CARE label FEATURE label BACK VIEW FRONT VIEW HANGER/STORE PRESENTATION > Unless otherwise specified, follow these guidelines for packing product into cartons. > Place each tie on hanger into and individual polybag unless otherwise specified. > Alternate when placing into carton. 7 ACCESSORIES Belts All Categories ACC.BELTS.05 If packaging/tags are required attach as described in this section. > Hangtag: Use 1" securitack to attach through the belt buckle. : Swift-Attach blank side of price ticket to back side of hangtag. Hangtag front must be visible. : Attach adhesive pre-price sticker to back side of belt hanger, centered width-wise. OPTION 3: Sew price ticket to back side of belt at seam, centered width-wise. > Generic Price Ticket/Sticker: Adhere to belt as specified in product specification package or by Buyer. NOTE: For Care, Content And Country Of Origin (COO) placement refer to product specification package or the Buyer. Vendor is responsible to insure alignment to all regulations. Attach the hangtag/price ticket through belt buckle with 1 securitach. Attach adhesive pre-price sticker to back side of belt hanger. Vendor needs to place belt on specified hanger prior to packing in carton. 2. Wrap metal or delicate buckles in tissue paper or cover with plastic bag/bubble wrap to protect during shipment. : 3. Coil 3 belts together and place in one polybag. For leather or vinyl belts, the polybag must have air holes. 4. Do not band belts together. 5. Alternate polybags when placing into cartons. : 3. Hem 4 If packaging/tags are specified attach as described below. > Hangtag: : Use a 3 swiftattachment to attach through the armhole and side seam juncture of the wearer s left side. : Use a 3 swiftattachment to attach through the inside seam allowance of the wearer s left sleeve, 1 up from sleeve hem. OPTION 3: For delicate fabrics or open knits attach using a 3 swift-attachment through backside of CARE/CONTENT label in neck. NOTE: Use a 2 swift-attacment for NB/INF/TOD. > Generic Price Ticket: Swift-attach blank side of price ticket to back side of hangtag. Drawcords, belts and bows should be tied as specified in the product 3. Cover all embellishments with cardboard, embroideries with tissue paper and hardware with compressed foam unless otherwise specified in the product 4. Fold sleeves across back of garment. 5. Fold fullness towards back, in line with shoulders. 6. Use individual polybags unless otherwise specified. 7. Place garment laying flat into carton. Do not fold. 8. Alternate individual polybags when placing into cartons. NOTE: If shipping leather outerwear, place cardboard between each polybag when placing into carton. 9. Anchor hangers to sides of cartons. 10. Use proper-sized cartons to reduce shifting during shipment. NOTE: If needed, excess packing materials may be used to reduce shifting, however excess packing materials should be kept to a minimum. NOTE: If requested in product specification package or by the Buyer product can be shipped with seeded hangers. Hangers should be placed on top of garments separated with cardboard. NOTE: If Country of Origin is not visible on Combined Care/Content Label after placement under Main Label, secondary label should be placed 1/2 inch to wearer s left of Main Label. : Insert into wearer s LEFT side seam, down from waistband. > For Garments With a Back Opening: MAIN label should be inserted into back waist seam on wearer s RIGHT of back opening. : Insert into back waistband seam under MAIN label centered. : Insert into wearer s LEFT side seam, down from waistband. INTEGRATED LABEL : Insert into back waistband seam centered. : Insert into wearer s LEFT side seam, down from waistband. HEAT TRANSFER LABEL > MAIN label is adhered to inside of wearer s RIGHT back panel, 1/down from waistband seam and 1/down from center back seam. : CARE label is inserted into BACK waistband seam, 1/ 1/ 1/ 1/2 left of CB seam. 1/ : CARE label is inserted into wearer s LEFT side seam, 2 down from WB. 1/ Joker Ticket Hangtag OUTSIDE FRONT VIEW INSIDE HANGER PLACEMENT FRONT VIEW HANGER PLACEMENT BACK VIEW If packaging/tags are required attach as described in this section. > Joker/Matchbook Ticket: Attach over waistband on wearer s FRONT RIGHT panel unless product specification package or Buyer directs differently. > Hangtag: Use swift-attachment to attach to the wearer s RIGHT side seam of the waistband. > Generic Hangtag/Extra Button Package/Garment Feature Sticker Hangtag or Sticker: Adhere to garment as directed in specification package or by Buyer. > VENDOR places garment on specified hanger prior to packing/shipping. Place on the hanger either a size tab or mini marker as required. Hangers are specified in the product NOTE: For additional hanger information refer to the Sears Business Exchange or MyKmart web sites. > Position RIGHT side (front view) of hanger inside front waistband area to hold fly folded together as shown. LEFT side of hanger holds outside of back waistband, keep waistband taut. Fly is folded inside of waistband. NOTE: All delicate fabrics (ie., corduroy, velvet, velour, leather) and belted garments require a crease-free hanger or soft-pad hanger. > Hook should turn to the wearer s back when looking at the FRONT view of the garment containing the packaging. > For larger size garments, back of garment may need to extend past hanger (front view). NOTE: Garment (front view) should never extend past right side of hanger. DO NOT fold garment sides to fit hanger. 3 7, 8 (Repack Only) 4 FRONT VIEW 5, 6 5, 6 (Repack Only) > Unless otherwise specified, follow these guidelines for packing product into cartons. 1. Prior to folding, all buttons, zippers and snaps should be closed unless otherwise specified. 2. Garments FRONT rise should be folded in. 3. Place no more than 6 pieces to one polybag. Use individual polybags only if required. Individual polybags will only be used for synthetic fibers or delicate fabrics (ie., satin, velour, velvet, corduroy, leather) and garments that are highly detailed (ie., appliqués/embroideries). 4. Fold up to 6 garments together at knee prior to placing into carton. Shorts do not need to be folded, lay flat. 5. Alternate polybags of up to 6 garments (or groups of 3 individual polybags) when placing into carton to eliminate excess bulk, maximize cube. 6. Anchor hangers to sides of carton. NOTE: If product is denoted as REPACK merchandise follow these guidelines. 4. Fold the garment in half, bringing hems up to the waistband. Shorts do not need tobe folded, lay flat. 5. Insert folded garment into individual polybag. Hanger MUST be inside of polybag. 6. Individual polybags are required; do not pack more than 1 pieced to each polybag. 7.
