3 HISTORY AND TRADITION Founded in 1888, the family-owned Bucherer Group is one of Europe s most traditional watch and jewelry retailers and today the largest group of its kind in Europe. The company s stores attract an international clientele with jewelry creations, an extensive choice of luxury watch brands and possibly the largest selection of Rolex watches available anywhere. Among its specialties are a huge choice of fabulous diamonds and the Bucherer jewelry lines together with other exclusive creations from its own workshops. Bucherer has 15 stores in Switzerland, eight branches in Germany and one store in Vienna. In spring 2013 Bucherer opened the world s largest watch and jewelry store in Paris. The company is run by the third generation of the family in the person of Jörg G. Bucherer and has over 1600 employees Carl Friedrich Bucherer, founder. 2
