3 0 0 COMMISSIONER DIAZ: Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to thank you all for coming today. This Board is here. Commissioner Zapata, Chairman Zapata could not make it today. Mr. Attorney, why don't you take us through the process. And let's get going, because I know everybody has a lot of things to be done. This should be a very, very short meeting for the record. MR. ESTEVE: Mr. Blanco is the attorney. COMMISSIONER DIAZ: Guys, give me a break. I'm used to looking one way. MR. ESTEVE: I know you're used to looking here. MR. BLANCO: All right. Commissioner Diaz, Members of the Board, Mr. Property Appraiser, Mr. Clerk of Court, you know, or Assistant Clerk of Court. We have Commissioner Pepe Diaz, as was stated initially, representing on behalf of Mr. Zapata, Commissioner Zapata, who's the Chairperson. We have Ms. Regalado for the School

4 0 0 Board. We have Mr. Hani Jardack and we have Mr. Anibal Duarte-Viera as citizen members, which constitutes a quorum. Mr. Commissioner Diaz, our Chairperson, we already went through that, he's not going to be available, so you're going to be acting as our Chairperson. Our organizational meeting will be held, as prescribed by Florida Statute, on October, 0. And all of you will be briefed prior to our meeting, so please inform us as to what dates are available for you. Mr. Diaz, I believe we already have a meeting set up for next week. COMMISSIONER DIAZ: Correct. MR. BLANCO: This is a very simple and quick meeting. The initial certification for the 0 adjusted tax rolls under Section.() of the Florida statutes. Mr. Acting Chair, at this time Mr. Alfaro will be providing you with a copy of the certification of the 0 tax rolls for your signature.

5 0 0 COMMISSIONER DIAZ: Okay. Will you say that last part again. MR. BLANCO: Mr. Alfaro will be providing you with a copy of the certification for all your signatures, sir. COMMISSIONER DIAZ: So basically all of us sign? No? MR. BLANCO: Just you, as acting Chairperson. COMMISSIONER DIAZ: The two signatures in two places, right? MR. BLANCO: Yes, sir. COMMISSIONER DIAZ: Done. Ma'am, you witness yourself? MS. REGALADO: One is for real property and the other one is for tangible. COMMISSIONER DIAZ: Yes. What else do we need to do? MR. BLANCO: Second item is basically any additional items. There's nothing on the item. COMMISSIONER DIAZ: So we did the roll. So we're clear, everything is done.

6 0 0 Everything has been documented. We signed the two sheets that need to be signed at the time. Now we're open for any other issues. So does anybody else have anything else? So with that, Ms. Regalado, go ahead. MS. REGALADO: I don't understand how can you guys have nothing to talk about. And, no, really quickly, I know we have a short meeting. And as Mr. Blanco mentioned, we're going to have a longer meeting. We're going to be talking about a lot of issues. MR. BLANCO: The nd. MS. REGALADO: Yes, it's coming up, the nd. I just want to give everybody the heads up. At that meeting, hopefully we'll be looking at our final policy and procedural manual. MR. BLANCO: That is correct. MS. REGALADO: I was at the School Board audit meeting where the OIG presented their report on the VAB, so we'll be talking about that, too.

7 0 0 So if everybody has a chance to look at that, like I told the OIG when she presented to the audit committee at the School Board, I believe with the procedurals manual, we meet every single issue that was raised and then some. So I think that may sit a lot easier for Mr. Blanco to respond to the OIG report, because a lot of things that are in there, we've already discussed and we've already taken action. And it's just going through the motions to make sure that it's accessible to everybody. But that being said, the VAB bill has been presented to Tallahassee. It's coming up for committee and we're off and running again. So I really hope that we can get everything done at our next meeting, because I want to present our procedurals manual to our Dade Delegation and explain to everyone about the good work that we've done here in the last few months. 8 0 0 stated very well. I think that we climbed over this mountain pretty good and we're on the other side of it. And I think that we now get the reports that are needed. And everything has been stated, as you said, on the nd. I think it will be a new day. And, of course, we have very qualified people on the other side to make sure that what happened in the past doesn't happen again, and along with the programming and everything we're doing and looking forward to it. So with that, is there anything else? MR. BLANCO: Mr. Chair, I just don't know if we have any questions from the audience. COMMISSIONER DIAZ: I'd like to open that up.
