Ex VFHS 31 THREE PIECED COTTON QUILTS, EARLY 20th C. One diamond block variation in browns, reds and blues. One red toile bedcover pieced with brown and cream leaf devices. One Star of Bethlehem pattern having appliqued floral wreaths and floral border. (Some browning, losses and light stains) good. 32 TWO OVERSIZED CURTAIN PANELS, 1930s. One gold velvet with appliqued border backed in velvet, good. One polychrome silk and metallic floral brocade in the 18th C style, backed in velvet, having fancy polychrome woven and cord trim, very good. Together with a heraldic applique on velveteen. IMA 40 METALLIC EMBROIDERED SILK PANEL, EARLY 20th C. Long horizontal panel of gold silk satin with couched metallic gold floral and knotted cream silk fringe to three sides, backed in green silk. (Small stain, few spots) good. 41 TWO BROCADE and EMBROIDERED TABLE COVERS, EARLY 20th C. Probably Italian, one gold (stain) and one green, both with floral embroidery and colorful knotted fringe. Both black with polychrome embroidery: One cotton damask tunic decorated with nacre buttons, (some broken buttons). One long sateen wrap edged in fringe with white beads, (lacking ties). One black on black Chinese export. One ivory machine embroidered. One green damask having polychrome embroidered floral to one corner and polychrome fringe. (Missing drawstring, numerous mends and small holes) fair. 103 SILK GOWN with SELF RUFFLES, c Dusty pink crepe having long sleeve empire bodice, the self belt, shoulder and cuff decorated with tightly ruched self ruffles, lower skirt having a series of tucks. B- 30, high W- 24, L- 49. (Scattered spots, overall darkening of fabric on skirt) good. MMA 104 EMPIRE SILK SATIN GOWN, c Light olive brown with drawstring neckline, long sleeve having double cuff with fine chenille cord decoration and self button, back of high waist with four bands of ruching. (Stained under arms and on sleeve, scattered spots) good. Ex VFHS 105 REGENCY SILK DRESS with WOVEN STRIPE. Yellow gauze having a vertical stripes of three narrow bands, long sleeve puffed at shoulder, boatneck bodice with stripes angled into chevrons with silk piping, hem having a wide band of raised and bound self crosses cinched into satin bows and flowers. (Scattered holes and spots, stained under arms, lacking sash) good. 106 EMPIRE SILK WEDDING DRESS, 1830s. Pale gold patterned in serpentine vines, having collared imbecile sleeve with ruching and Van Dyke points, bodice decorated with bands of self piping, scalloped neck insert. (Numerous repairs, spots and faint stains, ribbon added at waist) fair. IMA

9 107 SILK TAFFETA DRESS, 1830s. Off- white with pleated bodice and high waist both with muslin insert, pleated gigot sleeve and pleated skirt. (Neck binding unsewn, insert likely a repair, waistband either replaced or missing a sash, spots and soil at hem) good. 108 REPRODUCTION REGENCY STYLE GOWN with RUFFLES. White cotton gauze with long sleeve puffed at shoulder, ruffled cuff, empire waist, skirt front having a series of scalloped ruffles with embroidered dots, cotton underdress. (Shoulders stained, hole in cuff) good. 109 TWO PRINTED COTTON DRESSING GOWNS, EARLY and MID 19th C. The earlier in brown and blue calico with self belt and plaid lining, (lining discolored and hole). The later in polychrome paisley having orange wool trim, (two minor spots and holes on trim). Both good. 110 TWO LADIES PRINTED WRAPPERS, MID 19th C. Both polychrome prints on brown ground: One wool having paisley floral, pagoda sleeve and front appliquéd with black velvet strips, velvet button and loop closures, (scattered holes, wear to buttons and one detached). One cotton with scrolling rose print and floral trim bands, cuffed sleeve and glass buttons, (mends and small tears). Both good. 111 SILK BROCADE WAISTCOAT, 1860s s. Double breasted ivory satin with a paisley pattern in orange, green and gold, having a shawl collar and oval buttons with enameled floral and cut steels, tan cotton back and lining boned at the front. (Minor wear to cotton, one missing steel) very good. MMA 112 SLEEVELESS EMBROIDERED SILK SPENCER, LATE 18th C. Front- lacing light blue satin having collar, peplum, drawstring neckline and polychrome silk and metallic embroidered posies with spangles, fancy woven ribbon trim. (Light stains, few tiny spots) good. Together with a French cotton net scarf, c. 1810, having spangles and sawtooth border. Excellent. MMA 113 HOODED SILK PELERINE, Pieced cream and pink silk shoulder cape with hood, edged in embroidered net. (Back has splits and mends under hood, silk ribbon added) good. MMA 114 TWO SILK BODICES, LATE 18th and EARLY 19th C. One cream with tone on tone brocade and dusty pink ottoman stripe, having polychrome floral brocade and ribbon- trimmed neckline, tiny back peplum with crossed points, hook & eye closures, linen lining. One pale green satin, probably British, decorated with cloth flowers, (hook & eye closures added at back). Both good. MMA 115 SILK EMBROIDERED GOWN, and VISITING ENSEMBLE, 1830s. White tissue crepe ball gown decorated at sleeve and hem with silk and metallic embroidery and satin bands, (losses, tarnish, holes). Gold dress having padded bust with pleats and upper sleeve decorated with interwoven self bands and bow, matching pelerine, (tears). Both fair. MMA 116 LOT of COTTON EMBROIDERED TEXTILES, EARLY 19th C. Including a petticoat with eyelet and embroidery, an underskirt, a large irregular panel, a floral embroidered net cape and a skirt.
