Together with a velvet pillow having colorful hand embroidered design to both sides pieced from a paisley shawl with fancy braided trim, (section of braid unraveled). (Minor wear at corners) very good TWO ETHNIC SHELL-DECORATED TEXTILES, 20th C African black cotton cloth decorated with small red squares and white stripes, the border having 20 circles of applied cowrie shells, (stains and fading). Indian Banjara mirrored bag trimmed with cowrie shells. Goodexcellent LOT of PLANT FIBER TEXTILES, 20th C Comprised of an African mulberry bark (tapa cloth) floor covering, and two rolls of glazed fiber yardage: one black, one brick color. Good-excellent SILK BROCADE SARI FABRIC in THREE DESIGNS, 1960s s One vertical floral stripes in salmon, white and blue; one platinum with overall floral design and reserves with birds; one red and green lattice design. Very good-excellent LUZON WOMAN S KAIN WRAP SKIRT, EARLY 20th C. Kalinga people, Northern Luzon, Philippines. Woven and embroidered silk in pumpkin and indigo stripe with hanging bead and mother of pearl charms. Excellent THREE MIDDLE EASTERN KAFTANS, 20th C All sheer with gold embroidery and sequins: One periwinkle thwab; one blue dancing dress; one black dress with gold windowpane. Excellent. Good-excellent THREE CHINESE SILK EMBROIDERED GARMENTS, EARLY 20th C Two skirts: One blue shaded embroidery panels on gold brocade, very good; one red with polychrome embroidery trimmed in rabbit fur, (fur shedding but easily removed without altering design) good. One cream coat polychrome decoration and rabbit lining, (stains, small hole in shoulder) fur is sound, fair. Together with a fringed tone on tone export shawl, good TWO CHINESE SILK and FUR COATS, EARLY 20th C One pink embroidered with flowers, lined in white rabbit fur, (fur shedding) silk very good. One yellow with brocaded roundels, shearling lined (fur deteriorating) silk very good. Good-excellent JAPANESE PRINTED SILK KIMONO, 1930s Turquoise with woven stripe, printed with mauve and white clusters of irises. (Lacking original sash) very good. -

(Dark stain on front) good GENTS WOOL SUIT, LATE 18th C Black broadcloth with high stand collar, faux self buttons, deep extended cuff and shaped pocket flap with button details, vented back having tail pockets, slightly-padded silk twill lining, pocketless fall-front breeches, suspender buttons and fly, self buttons above narrow knee band, cotton facings. (Top edge of collar worn, large holes in breeches, several spots and seam separation), jacket very good, breeches poor QUILTED COTTON PETTICOAT, 18th C White with an overall scalloped pattern and a wide hemband with scrolling plumes on diagonal stitching, setin wide waistband with 1" pleats. W-24, L-39. (Lacking closure, scattered spots and stains, small tears, hem edge worn) good REGENCY GOWN with PROVENANCE, c Brown silk having high waist, long sleeve with shoulder puff, square neckline with drawstring, hand-written note sewn to dress inked "This dress owned by Mrs. Turner Lorrey who was born 1778 and died 1860". (Underarm stains, fade mark at hem, scattered small holes) good GENTLEMANS SILK COAT, 1830s s Ivory raw silk with long collar, curved lapel, welt pockets and self buttons, sleeve having curved notch at the wrist, cotton pockets, unlined. (Some spots, soil, scattered small holes in hem area) good SILK and VELVET THREE-PIECE BUSTLE DRESS, c Brown velvet peplum bodice trimmed with brown silk bengaline and fringe, velvet underskirt having cotton top with pocket, bengaline overskirt with velvet trim and fringe. (Holes, tears, missing closures) fair WOOL DOLMAN with FANCY CORDWORK, 1870s Dark beige with black plush collar, decorated with fancy rosettes of silk cord with crystal beads and chenille tassels, having wide silk fringe over narrow crimped fringe. (Tassel losses, wear to the collar, scattered moth holes, some tearing to lining) good FRENCH VELVET BUSTLE COAT with CORDWORK, 1880s Black velvet with band collar and dolman sleeve, the sides decorated in a heavy corded lattice with baubles and knotted fringe, sleeve having satin ruffle and cord, back is pleated and slit to the waist, deep red silk lining, inside ties and front tab closure with fringe, label "Sara Mayer & A. Morhange Paris". (Velvet worn at shoulders and front edge, some wear and losses to decoration, seam separation under arms and at lining) good TWO STRIPED SILK DRESSES, 1880s & 1900s One pale gold silk with woven gold stripe having lace trim, pleated skirt with self ruffle at hem, (trim removed from bodice). One white cotton voile with woven lavender satin stripe, the bodice having cream lace collar, yoke, cuffs and jabot, skirt with deep hem ruffle with wide lace band, moire ribbon bodice trim and separate sash with bows, (few large stains on skirt). Fair-good TWO LACE BUSTLE DRESSES, c and 1900 Both cream two-piece from the Bridgeton, New Jersey area: One net with high-neck bodice having tucks and inserts of embroidered net lace, (silk bodice lining torn and stained, few spots on bodice). One voile having collared peplum bodice with vertical bands of embroidered net, 3/4 sleeve, skirt with asymmetrical draped front panels, hemmed with rows of ruffled lace, non-conforming silk cummerbund, (some age-toning and brown spots, skirt has L-shaped tear, some light brown stains). Lacking underdresses, fair-good. -

9 118 TWO LACE-TRIMMED COTTON GOWNS, 1880s & 1900s One cream figured with tiny red abstract devices having peplum bodice with lace trim, bustle skirt with cutaway front over red cotton with lace bands at hem, (browning, some alteration to bodice). One lavender with printed white foliate pattern, high-neck bodice with bands and ruffles of lace, trained skirt has crossed bands of lace and ruffles, (browning of lace and some large stains to skirt).
