1 Page 1 ACNE CARE Use to control any problem from oily skin to advanced, cystic acne. We offer 13 products including 7 OTC Drugs (medicine that does not require a prescription). The products contain agents of varying degrees to help assist in cleansing and controlling the body s supply of oils at the surface of the skin as well as being able to kill Propioni bacteria dead in its tracks as well as improve acne scarring. Acne made simple. Commonly known as blackheads, blemishes, comedones, milia, pimples and whiteheads. There are many forms of acne that can be caused by numerous elements, including hormones, stress, diet, drugs, bacteria and some products, including cosmetics that you use on your body and face. Acne can appear almost anywhere on your body. Oils (sebum) composed of fat and debris are produced and secreted from the sebaceous glands. When you have too much oil on top of dead cells, the glands and pores can get clogged. Propioni bacteria begin to grow and acne appears. Acne sufferers include children, teens and adults with no differentiation between male and female. It is prevalent in African American, Hispanic, Asian and Caucasian skin. As you grow older your glands will change and secretions begin to diminish. Over a number of years, it is common for men and women alike to see a change in their skin, from oily to combination, to normal, and to dry. Acne can lead to other problems including lesions or permanent scarring. Understanding your skin and what will work to improve its appearance is important in good skin care. You can help your acne with over-the-counter topical products. However, your acne may require professional treatment from a dermatologist. GUIDELINES FOR USING ACNE PRODUCTS Learn to work with your skin. You do not want to scrub your skin nor do you want to completely dry it. This will cause the glands to overreact and produce more oils. If your skin becomes too dry, reduce the usage of an item, or two, until you can detect a change. Some of the better ingredients that will offer assistance include Benzoyl Peroxide, Glycolic Acid, Oatmeal, Lavender, Salicylic Acid, and Sulfur. There is no rhyme or reason to what you will find in drug stores, cosmetic counters, discount operations, beauty supply stores with regard to quality or price. Look at the ingredients and the order in which they appear. This listing will signify the content of ingredients from the most to the least. OTC drugs will be labeled as DRUG FACTS on the information panel. Do not rely on one product. Use a variety of items to help combat the problem. This could include a drying agent, AHA / Glycolic Acid, Salicylic acid, anti-bacterial cleansers (non-alcohol based) and a facial mask. Start with a few and gradually add products to your regimen. B-Kleer meets the FDA Monograph for Class I First Aid Treatment as an Antiseptic Wash. INDICATIONS To promote cleanliness by allowing regular and continuous cleansing without drying the skin. To kill germs (E.coli, Pseudonmonous, and Staph), which cause infection. To kill germs (Propionibacterium), which are prevalent in acne conditions. 13 Page 13 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Q. Can Benzoyl Peroxide be irritating? A. Yes, Benzoyl Peroxide is an irritant. It can cause drying and peeling; along with mild redness and possible swelling if left on too long. Q. How do I know what an adverse reaction is? A. Benzoyl Peroxide can also cause a brief tingling sensation or a warm feeling. If this feeling lasts for more than 5 minutes, do not leave on as long the next time you use it (we recommend that you wait a day before trying again). If the situation does not improve, discontinue use. If the redness become excessive or causes severe swelling, discontinue use and consult a physician (dermatologist). Q. If I find this to be too irritating, what should I do? A. If you still have it on, wash off with cool water immediately. It should not be left on for more than 2 minutes. If your condition appears severe, apply a cold compress and an emollient such as petrolatum (Vaseline ). NOTE: Vaseline is a registered trademark of Chesebrough-Ponds USA Co.

14 Page 14 B-KLEER 8 SKIN THERAPY (formerly Ultra 8 Clear Skin Therapy) INDICATIONS To remove the oils, fats and other lipids present in oily and acne-prone skin, while it exfoliates surface acne. To improve the softness and texture of the skin. KEY FEATURES Remarkably efficient for deep pore cleansing. Concentration of Glycolic Acid is 8%. Do not use an astringent with alcohol when using this product. It may be too drying. Must wear a sunscreen daily (see user instructions). Will help to dry the pores that contain sebum. Will cause the skin to exfoliate helping the acne healing process. May be used numerous times daily. Can be used over Ultra 10 Lightening Gel. DIRECTIONS Cleanse the face with Neutral Cleansing Bar, B-Kleer Antiseptic Wash, B-Prox 2.5%, or B-Prox 10% Cleansing Lotion Pat dry lightly and wait 5 minutes. Apply Ultra 8 Clear Skin Therapy to a cotton ball or pad. Wipe pad lightly across all affected areas. Use twice daily. Allow to dry for 5 minutes. Apply sunscreen daily. Sunscreen should be applied at least 30 minutes prior to getting into sunlight for optimum effect. Do not over-apply and do not over-use. CAUTION For external use only. A mild transient tingling may occur for a few minutes in people with sensitive skin. This is normal. You may see a mild acne outbreak in the first few days. This is normal. 16 Page 16 B-KLEER B P 2.5 ACNE CREME OVER THE COUNTER (OTC) DRUG An antibacterial treatment to help control and moderate Acne and Acne pustules. INDICATIONS For the antibacterial treatment for all grades of Acne. Formulated to kill bacteria, dry Acne pustules, cleanse pores, remove excess oils and slough dead cells. Exfoliation will loosen impacted pores. To disinfect and control bacteria to keep Acne under control. KEY FEATURES Over-the-Counter (OTC) Medicated Drug. DIRECTIONS Shake well before using. Start with one application daily, preferably at bedtime. Allow two weeks for the skin to become accustomed to this product. Then, gradually increase to twice daily if needed or as directed by a dermatologist. Cleanse the skin thoroughly with B-Kleer Wash before applying B-Kleer B P 2.5 Acne Creme. Apply a pea size drop to each side of the face and the forehead. Gently cover the entire affected areas with a thin layer. This will keep Acne from flaring. Do not rub the product into the skin. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. Leave on all day or overnight for maximum effectiveness. If using at least twice a day, rinse face and cleanse prior to reapplying. Daytime: Same as bedtime with the addition of sunscreen. Allow B-Kleer B P 2.5 Acne Creme to dry. Apply sunscreen to protect the skin from ultra violet radiation damage and the risk of photosensitivity. Sensitivity test for New Users: Apply product sparingly to one or two small affected areas during the first three days. If no discomfort occurs, follow the directions above. CAUTION Keep out of the reach of small children. For external use only. In case of accidental ingestion, contact a poison control center immediately. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Using other topical Acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness, or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless otherwise directed by a dermatologist. When using the product during the day, avoid unnecessary sun exposure and use a high-quality broad-spectrum sunscreen. If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use of this product for three days and try again. If irritation persists, consult a dermatologist.
