Unlike plastic particles, WorléeBeads are based on castor wax, jojoba wax or cellulose and different color pig ments. Therefore, they present no threat to humans, animals, or the environment. WorléeBeads are characterized by their high sphericity and narrow particle size distribution which leads to a better representation in the formula. WorléeBeads feature a consistently smooth surface for gentle exfoliation that is kind to the skin. WorléeBeads have no sharp edges that could damage the outer layer of the skin and make WorléeBeads a better and gentler choice than pumice stones, silica, crushed kernel, shell powders, and wood fibers. Particularly when used frequently, such abrasive substances can lead to attrition dermatitis. WorléeBeads are an ecological alternative to conventional exfoliants, since they are predominantly NaTrue and Ecocert and Cosmos validated. WorléeBeads contain no microplastics and are not restricted by any microplastics legislation. They are available in multiple particle size ranges in numerous standard colors. Suitable anti-settling agents include WorléeAqua Thix, Xanthan Gums, or similar. During the incorporation, high shear rates should be avoided in order not to destroy the particles. An addition at the end of the formulation is recommended. In the case of hot processesing, the melting point must also be considered, since the particles otherwise begin to adhere or dissolve.
