You are now standing and will work behind her with her head resting against you for support and comfort. Apply a cape or towel around her shoulders Are you comfortable? Today your skin analysis has indicated XXX (hydration / pore size / elasticity / wrinkle etc.) as an area for improvement and as a result I am going to use XXX products for your mini facial. Today I am going to apply the Intensives Skincare Renewing Peel on the back of your hand, so you can feel and see the difference on the skin between the two hands. The Intensives Renewing Peel to the back of one hand Before I start your facial, I would like to introduce you to the ARTISTRY Skin Enhancer. 1

2 The ARTISTRY Skin Enhancer is a professional beauty device that uses dual technology Derma ion & Galvanic current as well as 3D vibration, to enhance skincare absorption. This allows each serum to get the optimal penetration and best results. We offer this service to all our customers who purchase the ARTISTRY Signature Select Personalized serums. The ARTISTRY Skin Enhancer is also available to purchase so you can use at home for the optimal results. An addition to the Skin Enhancer is the Clean Up Mode. This is an Ultrasonic Blade that produces ultrasonic vibrations that create bubble jet effects to penetrate deep into the skin s pores to cleanse blackheads and debris. The ultrasonic motor vibrates the blade 30,000 times per a second so it s like gently beating the skin then washing off skin s debris and sebum. It is very gentle on the skin and, it enables to cleanse both old dead skin cells and old sebum in the pores. The most important step to healthy skin is a regular, twice daily, skincare routine. Having a daily skincare regime that includes cleansing, toning and moisturising is a critical part of maintaining healthy skin. 3 Eye & Lip Make-up Remover (if eye make-up present) use cotton pads. Show your customer that you shake the bottle to mix the ingredients. Apply a small amount to a cotton pad and hold gently over the eye area to dissolve the eye make-up. Gently wipe down and across to the outer eye. Fold cotton pad in half and gently wipe through the lashes to remove mascara. Wipe under the eye from the outer eye to centre to avoid stretching the skin. Recommended Cleanser Apply a small amount of the recommended (or preferred the customer might wear Longwearing Foundation and prefer an oil or cream cleanser) ARTISTRY Cleanser to the fingertips. Show the customer how much you are using. Apply a little water and with light circular movements apply from the chin to the forehead and back down to the temples. Remove the cleanser with cotton pads and warm water. Lightly dab dry with a tissue. I am now going to lightly exfoliate, using the ARTISTRY Skin Enhancer Clean Up Mode. As it is a Galvanic current I need to ask if you have a pacemaker, heart condition or any health conditions? (It is important that you ask this question to safe guard you customer and yourself if it should be a problem. You might want to hand your customer the list of the contraindications in the WARNINGS section of the product manual or print the ARTISTRY Skin Enhancer Contraindications from Downloads/ARTISTRY Startup/Module 4.) 3

4 Connect the ULTRASONIC BLADE to the Skin Enhancer and power on. Spread or spray enough water on the areas of the face you want to use it on. You can use a fine mist spray bottle or a cotton cosmetic pad to dab the warm water. If the customer has high cheek colour or sensitivity on the cheek area, you might want to avoid this area. Start from the middle of the chin and jawline and work across to the hairline. Slowly work upwards towards the cheek bone. Slowly drag the ULTRASONIC BLADE across the desired area. Don t press too hard. Hold the side of the nose and glide smoothly so not to scratch. Skin irritation may occur when used in one particular area for too long. When finished, press and hold the Power button briefly to power off. Wipe the face with a clean, damp cotton pad. To complete the cleansing process finish with XXXSoftening Lotion (product info), a toner. The toner is a vital step to your skincare routine as it assists with cleansing, balancing and softening the skin. It also assists in the absorption of skincare products applied after. Let me give you this example, if you applied a serum or lotion to a dry sponge it would just sit on the surface. But, if you applied the same product to a damp sponge it would absorb into the sponge. Applying the softening lotion will help with the absorption. The recommended TONER to two cotton pads and show the customer how much you have used. Wipe over the face, a cotton pad in each hand, avoiding the eye area. As advised, an everyday skincare routine needs cleansing, toning and moisturising. This is the ARTISTRY basic skincare routine. I am now going to give your skin a light massage using the xxxx (e.g. Hydra-V Moisture Cream, Youth Xtend Enriching Cream, Youth Xtend Ultra Cream or Supreme LX Cream. We use the cream from the range as there are more emollients to massage. The Ideal Radiance Cream does not have enough emollient so use one of the other creams for this step. Note: If you are recommending Ideal Radiance, you will still recommend the cream but not use in the facial). 4

5 Use a spatula to scoop about the size of a 20cent piece of the chosen cream to your fingers. Standing behind your customer, rest her head against you so her head and neck feels secure. Distribute the cream between your fingers and press onto the face, using light pressing movements over the face but avoiding the eye area. Follow the facial technique movements found in Module 4 or in Downloads on the Amway website. Massage for 5 minutes. As the creams are not a massage cream, they won t stay emollient on the skin and will absorb. To add to your relaxation, I am now going to apply a mask. Based on your consultation results, I am going to apply the. Mask. (For results showing low hydration, brightening, wrinkles or firming, apply the Hydra-V Mask. For results showing pores, oily skin, blemishes, use the Special Care Deep Cleansing Mask. Alternately, you can apply the Deep Cleansing Mask on the T Zone and Moisture Mask on the U Zone. The chosen mask all over the face, avoiding the eye area. For combination skin, apply the Deep Cleansing Mask on the T Zone and Moisture Mask on the U Zone. Leave on for 10 minutes. Remove with warm water and two cotton pads. Wipe away the mask and apply your chosen Softening Lotion. Apply Softening Lotion to two cotton pads and wipe over the face, avoiding the eye area. I am now going to introduce you to some of ARTISTRY s true power products. Scenario: The customer has indicated that she will be purchasing the serum and you show her how it is mixed together. After your facial today, you will start using the Serum Amplifier, after using the Skin Renewal Kit for 7 days (ARTISTRY Intensives Renewing Peel + Vitamin C + HA Treatment). Use your personalized serum day and night after cleansing and toning. You will only need 2-3 pumps for the entire face but avoid the eye area. To help with the penetration of the serum so it works deeper within your skin, I am going to use the ARTISTRY Skin Enhancer. Set the ARTISTRY Skin Enhancer on Signature Select Mode. 1 pump of serum to the left side of the face. Turn on the ARTISTRY Skin Enhancer and place the metal head against the skin. Start from the chin and work upwards from the centre of the face to the hairline. 1 pump of serum to the right side of the face. Place the metal head against the skin and repeat the process on the right side of the face. 1 pump of serum to the forehead. Place the metal head against the skin and work upwards from the brows to the hairline. A skincare routine is never complete without an eye cream. The (e.g. Youth Xtend Enriching) Eye Cream is applied day and night before your moisturiser. This eye cream will help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin softer and younger looking A small amount of eye cream onto a spatula and transfer to your ring fingers. Show the customer how much you are using and how to apply the eye cream sparingly to the eye area. The eye cream is applied in a light tapping motion around the orbital bone, not too close to the eye. 6

7 The final step to your daily Skincare routine is moisturising. Your recommended moisturiser is (e.g. Youth Xtend Protecting Cream). The Youth Xtend Protecting Cream is a day cream as it contains an SPF 15 to protect from the environment and provide comprehensive anti-oxidant protection to minimise and prevent the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The Youth Xtend range also includes an Enriching Night Cream. You will find that you need to use very little of the ARTISTRY product to achieve outstanding results A pea size amount of (e.g. Youth Xtend) Protecting Cream to a spatula and transfer to your fingers. Show the customer how little she needs to use. Transfer the cream to your fingertips and dot over the face. Massage or press the cream gently into the skin from the chin working up to the forehead. Finish on the temples. How does your skin feel now? I am now going to remove the Intensive Skincare Renewing Peel from the back of your hand. Remove the Renewing Peel with a cotton pad and water. Pat dry. Now, compare the skin on both hands. Can you see the difference in the colour of the skin and feel how soft your exfoliated hand is? Let me apply a little of the (e.g. Youth Xtend Enriching) Night Cream/Lotion or Day Cream/Lotion The only step I haven t completed is the Intensive Skincare Anti-Wrinkle Serum (if recommended). This is because it is a night time treatment and contains retinol. The Anti-Wrinkle Serum helps boost collagen and elastin to rebuild firmness, elasticity and reduce wrinkles but retinol is not sun friendly so that is why it is a potent night time treatment. Although not part of the Skin Transformational program, I am also recommending an ARTISTRY foundation as we believe that our foundations are the last step of skincare and the first step to make-up.
