2 ITEC BEAUTY SPECIALIST DIPLOMA Course Content Beauty Specialist students will cover comprehensive training and extensive practical experience in the following areas: Skincare, Skin analysis, in depth consultation and forming a treatment plan Double cleansing and toning Deep Cleansing; exfoliation creams, brush cleansing, steaming and extractions Face Masks; clay, commercial and biological masks Face, neck and shoulder massage using Swedish massage techniques Eyelash and Eyebrow treatments; eyelash tinting, eyebrow tinting and eyebrow shaping Make-up application; day, evening, special occasion and bridal False Lash application; strip and individual eyelashes Natural nail treatments; manicure and pedicure including specialised treatments such as exfoliants, masks, thermal treatment and paraffin wax Depilation; full and half leg wax, underarm and bikini, forearm and facial waxing using hot and cool wax Anatomy & Physiology of the face, head & neck, hand & arm, foot & leg Business awareness and professional conduct studies Hygiene and sterilisation Cosmetic science and product knowledge Body massage Threading Eyelash extensions Nail technology Nail art Gel polish application Working in the beauty related industries Health & safety Practice in the salon, Client care and communication First Aid level 1 Theory and practical Case studies Awards Students of this course work towards an internationally recognised diploma, awarded by ITEC. * ITEC Diploma for Beauty Specialist-Skincare, Waxing, Makeup, Manicure and Pedicure, Professional conduct and business awareness * ITEC Certificate in Body Massage * National/International Lash Collection Certificate in Eyelash Extensions and Threading * ITEC Diploma in nail technology Method of Assessment Carla Brown Makeup and Beauty prides itself on its continuous assessment. This allows both our tutors, and our students to carefully monitor their progress throughout the course. 3 DURATION: 1 year full-time Monday to Thursday TIME: 9am 2pm REQUIREMENTS: Grade 10, older than 16 years (We will need a copy of your i.d. and latest school results along with Application form for this qualification) DATES: 14 January December 2019 F/T Full year 14 TH January -July 2019 (6 months only) F/T 6 Months-Beauty specialist Diploma only COST (Full year): R (All Kits Inclusive, Books/Notes, Uniform, First Aid and ITEC Examination Fees) ITEC Beauty Specialist Diploma, Certificate in Body Massage, Diploma in Nail technology, Lash Collection National and International Certificate Eyelash Extension and Threading Cost of course: Payment plan: TOTAL: R R Deposit (By 4 th January 2019) R6000 per month x 10 (February -November 2019) COST(6months): R ITEC Beauty Specialist Diploma ONLY (waxing, skincare, makeup and manicure and pedicure, business awareness) 6 months Full time (Kits Inclusive, Books/Notes, Uniform, First Aid, and ITEC Exam Fees, ONLY ITEC Beauty Specialist Diploma) First part of the year will be Beauty Specialist Diploma modules (Jan to July) Cost of course: Payment plan: TOTAL: R R Deposit (By 4 th January 2019) R4250 per month x 10 (February -November 2019) MODULAR/PART-TIME The Beauty Specialist Diploma Course can be done part-time (which runs on Saturdays 9am - 2pm). The learner can also choose to study the Modules as short courses. (e.g. skincare, waxing etc). PART TIME (R55000)- Every Saturday 9am to 2pm -Full Beauty Specialist diploma (incl

4 Waxing, Makeup, Skincare, Mani/Pedi, business awareness)- 26 th January to 7 th December 2019 Please contact us for the 2019 timetable for the Saturday individual modules for short courses i.e. waxing module, skincare module etc. FUNDING: Students loans can be applied for through the banks (Absa, Standard Bank etc) and PAYMENT PLAN: PLEASE CONTACT US FOR PAYMENT PLANS PLEASE NOTE: We only have 10 spaces available for this course therefore if you are interested in applying, please do so as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

5 APPLICATION PROCEDURE: 1. Choose between the Full time 6 month or 1year Beauty Specialist Course or Part Time Saturday course. 2. Complete the registration/application form and the fully completed form, copy of your ID, matric results (where applicable) to: carla@carlabrownmakeupandbeauty.co.za 3. A letter confirming your registration will be sent via Pay your deposit & send proof of payment to carla@carlabrownmakeupandbeauty.co.za 5. The deposit is non-refundable. 6. Fees include the international assessment. 7. Student must be 16 years of age or older, be able to understand, speak and write in the English language. 8. Courses are strictly from 09h00 14h00. Students will miss the class if late. 9.Excludes: Re-assessment/Re-writes, sundries and case studies. 10. There are no hidden fees or additional items to pay for.
