3 5 IN 1 MULTI STYLE COMPETITION FRENCH (LIQUID & POWDER ACRYLIC OR LIGHT CURE GEL PRODUCTS) BRIEFING AND SETUP TIME 15 mins WORKING TIME 2 hours PLEASE KEEP IN MIND Competition style is a sleeker more dramatic enhancement. It should be consistent. Product should be clear of any bubbles or demarcations. The product should be flush near the cuticle and only as thick as a business card on the free edge. The ratio should be 1 to 1. Consistent C curves no less than 40% and no more than 50%. Competitors will have 2 hours to complete any one hand of sculptured, competition - style nail enhancements in 5 different styles. The idea is to complete one hand in multiple styles showing technique and high degree of skill. You have the ability to choose any shapes as long as it is a reflective of a high skill level. Shape examples: - Russian Almond - Stiletto - Blade - Edge - Lipstick - Square NO Coloured Acrylic professional products will be accepted. Competitors may use any shade combination of Liquid and Powder OR Hard Gel below: - Sheer Pink - Cover Pink - Clear - White This is strictly a pink and white French category with NO ART/ ADORNMENTS/EMBELLISHMENTS ALLOWED. Liquid and Powder OR Sculpting Gel is allowed. Gel Paint OR Gel Polish IS ACCEPTABLE. Nails can be sculpted using Hard Gel OR Liquid and Powder OR a combination of both mediums. Design MUST be finished with either a high shine Top Coat OR Matt Top Coat. The Model s natural nails may be prepared for product application before the competition however once briefing starts you MAY NOT touch your model until the floor judge commences the competition. A deduction will occur for breaching this rule. If your Model does have any marks/nicks/abrasions or damage to their finger or cuticle area, please advise a floor judge during briefing and it will be recorded for the Booth Judges. No molds may be used at any time during this competition only PROFESSIONAL NAIL FORMS may be used. All files and buffers and products must be clean, and products used for the 5 IN 1 Multi Style Competition French application must be in their original packaging and clearly labelled. NO HANDWRITTEN LABELS will be accepted and products with written labels WILL BE REMOVED from the competition floor. The Head Floor Judge holds the complete discretion to apply a deduction OR disqualify from this category. All products must be professional nail products only. NO pretailoring of any sorts will be accepted and includes but not limited to: - Forms - Buffers - Oils Water only may be used when cleaning the nails. Any sort of cleansers, buffing agents or cremes are NOT ALLOWED. Cuticle oils may be used however deductions may occur if the enhancements are flooded with oil. No smile line cutters, smile molds or any other cutting tools shall be accepted for creating your smile lines. 5 IN 1 Multi Style Competition French will be judged using the following criteria: - Product control - Smile lines - C Curve - Free edge - Cuticle area - Apex arch - Lateral structure - Surface structure - Surface finish - Underside finish - Overall impression - Multi Style (shapes, design, uniqueness) This category is classified as a Technical category and points awarded will be added towards TECHNICAL CHAMPION.

4 TECHNICAL FRENCH SCULPTURE (LIQUID & POWDER ACRYLIC) BRIEFING AND SETUP TIME 15 mins WORKING TIME 1 hour 15 mins PLEASE KEEP IN MIND Competition style is a sleeker more dramatic enhancement. It should be consistent. Product should be clear of any bubbles or demarcations. The product should be flush near the cuticle and only as thick as a business card on the free edge. The ratio should be 1 to 1. Consistent C curves no less than 40% and no more than 50%. Competitors will have 75 mins to complete one hand of sculptured, competition-style nail enhancements using professional nail forms only. Tips and adhesive are NOT accepted and will not be allowed on your table during competition. Any competitor found with tips and adhesive will incur a deduction. No Gel Polish OR Coloured Acrylic professional products will be accepted. Competitors may use any shade combination of Liquid and Powder but not limited to: - Sheer pink - Cover pink - Clear - White This is strictly a pink and white French category with NO ART/ ADORNMENTS/EMBELLISHMENTS ALLOWED. NO TOPCOAT ALLOWED so where appropriate nails must be buffed to a high shine. No smile line cutters, smile molds or any other cutting tools shall be accepted for creating your smile lines. French Sculpture will be judged using the following criteria: - Smile line - C curve - Cuticle area - Shape - Product control - Surface structure - Lateral structure - Length - Polish or Gel polish colour application - Finish work This category is classified as Technical category and points awarded will be added towards TECHNICAL CHAMPION.

5 FRENCH WITH A TWIST (LIQUID & POWDER ACRYLIC OR HARD GEL) BRIEFING AND SETUP TIME 15 mins WORKING TIME 1 hour PLEASE KEEP IN MIND French With a Twist should be reflective of a technical style nail and should be consistent. Product should be clear of any bubbles or demarcations. The product should be flush near the cuticle and depending on the shape, the nail should have a consistent C curve between 30% and 40%. Competitors will have 60 minutes to complete a hand of competition-style nail enhancements in any shape and length that reflect an original and artistic interpretation of the traditional French Style Pink and White. Professional nail forms or tips may only be used. No dual forms, molds or poppits are accepted. If Competitor is using tips, all tips MUST be within their original clear acrylic tip box packaging and have a MINIMUM of 100 tips allocated within 10 tip sizes. No Gel Polish OR Coloured Acrylic professional products will be accepted. Competitors may use any shade combination of Liquid and Powder OR Hard Gel but not limited to: - Sheer pink - Cover pink - Clear - White This is strictly a pink and white French category with NO ART/ ADORNMENTS/EMBELLISHMENTS ALLOWED. Liquid and Powder OR Hard Gel, or a combination of both mediums is acceptable only. A UV/LED Gel Topcoat is acceptable however Gel Paint and Gel Polish is NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Model's natural nails may be prepared for product application before the competition however once briefing starts you MAY NOT touch your model until the floor judge commences the competition. A deduction will occur for breaching this rule. If your Model does have any marks/nicks/abrasions or damage to their finger or cuticle area, please advise a floor judge during briefing and it will be recorded for the Booth Judges. No moulds may be used at any time during this competition, only PROFESSIONAL NAIL FORMS or TIPS may be used. All files, buffers and products must be clean and products used for the French With A Twist application must be in their original packaging and clearly labelled. NO HANDWRITTEN LABELS will be accepted and products with written labels WILL BE REMOVED from the competition floor. The Head Floor Judge holds the complete discretion to apply a deduction OR disqualify from this category. All products must be professional. NO pre-tailoring of any sorts will be accepted and includes but not limited to: - Forms - Buffers - Oils Electric files ARE ACCEPTABLE for this category. The surface of the nail MUST be flush/flat, any design must be embedded. Water only may be used when cleaning the nails. Any sort of cleansers, buffing agents or cremes are NOT ALLOWED. Cuticle oils may be used however deductions may occur if the enhancements are flooded with oil. French With A Twist will be judged using the following criteria: - Originality - Design and balance - Ingenuity of design - Length - Shape - Finish work - Overall impression This category is classified as a technical category and awarded points will be added to TECHNICAL CHAMPION.

6 SWAROVSKI SWAGGER NEW CATEGORY (FLOOR CATEGORY TIPS & SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS SUPPLIED) BRIEFING AND SETUP TIME 15 mins WORKING TIME 30 mins THIS NEW CATEGORY IS INTENDED TO BE A FUN SALON EVENT WHERE YOU CAN SHOW YOUR CREATIVITY. YOU WILL BE GIVEN ONE (1) BAG OF SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS AND FIVE (5) TIPS AND A BACKING BOARD TO ADHERE YOUR NAILS. ALL COMPETITORS WILL RECEIVE THE EXACT SAME CRYSTALS, TIPS AND BOARD TO COMPLETE THEIR DESIGNS. The Competitor will have 30 mins to complete 5 tips with colour, art and Swarovski crystals. The Competitor MUST USE every Swarovski crystal within their supplied bag and every tip supplied by LISH Nail Creations. Please ensure Swarovski crystals are present on all 5 tips submitted. The nail design has NO restrictions in height however ALL Swarovski crystals MUST be used. No additional crystals other than those supplied by Emerson Crystals may be used in this category. All nail art must be made using professional nail products from the following: - Acrylic - Light Cured Gel Products - Polish - Pigments - Paint (acrylic, gel, watercolour) - Glitter At least three (3) mediums must be used from the list above the Swarovski crystals will count as one (1) medium. The nails must be creative so think outside the box for your design! We are looking for creative placement of the Swarovski crystals, not forgetting the nail design itself. There are no themes OR inspirational pictures for this category. The Competitors finished designs MUST be adhered to the supplied board on conclusion of the category. Please adhere your supplied Competitor number supplied within your Registration Pack - to the top RIGHT corner of the board during the briefing period. NO REGISTRATION NUMBER, NO JUDGING. This category is a Salon category and will NOT be included in either the ARTISTIC, TECHNICAL or OVERALL CHAMPION trophies.

7 SALON SHOWDOWN TECHNICAL FRENCH NEW TEAM CATEGORY (LIQUID & POWDER ACRYLIC, LIGHT CURE GEL PRODUCTS OR DIP SYSTEMS) BRIEFING AND SETUP TIME 15 mins WORKING TIME 1 hour (Each team member will have 20 minutes each of working time) THIS CATEGORY IS A TEAM EVENT IN WHICH 3 TEAM MEMBERS WILL WORK TOGETHER TO COMPLETE ONE HAND OF SALON FRENCH NAILS. THIS EVENT IS DESIGNED TO BE A HIGH ENERGY FUN EVENT YET WILL STILL SHOWCASE A HIGH SKILL LEVEL. THREE MEMBERS MAKE UP EACH TEAM BY WORKING TOGETHER. EACH MEMBER WILL HAVE 20 MINUTES FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO COMPLETE A FULL SET OF NAILS. YOU WILL NEED TO THINK STRATEGY WHEN POSITIONING MEMBERS FACTORS TO CONSIDER ARE TIME MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE APPLICATION PROCESS AND THE DIFFERENT SKILL LEVELS WITHIN YOUR TEAM MEMBERS. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND A Salon Style enhancement must be a more durable, wearable extension that can be any shape to suit your Model s hand and nails. It should be consistent. Product should be clear of any bubbles or demarcations. The product should be flush near the cuticle and just thicker than a credit card towards the free edge. The ratio should be 2 to 1 with a consistent C curve no less than 30% and no more than 40%. THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION STYLE NAIL Competitors will have 60 minutes to complete a set of salonstyle nail extensions using either OR a combination of liquid and powder, light cured gel products or dip systems. Clear or natural tips can be used OR professional nail forms. No dual forms, poppits or molds can be used. If Competitor is using tips, all tips MUST be within their original clear acrylic tip box packaging and have a MINIMUM of 100 tips allocated within 10 tip sizes. Competitors may use any combination of professional nail products from those listed above. Gel paints and Gel polish is acceptable. This is strictly a pink and white category with NO ART/ ADORNMENTS/EMBELLISHMENTS ALLOWED. Liquid and Powder, Sculpting Gel OR Dip Systems are allowed. Gel Paint OR Gel Polish IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Nails MUST be sculpted using either Hard Gel, Liquid and Powder OR Dip Systems ONLY and NOT a combination of mediums. A UV/LED GEL TOP COAT IS ALLOWED WITHIN THIS CATEGORY. 8 MIXED MEDIA FANTASY THEME OPEN HAND IN/POST IN SUBMISSION THE REGISTRATION DESK AT BHBE WILL BE OPEN ONLY ON SUNDAY 28TH JULY 2019 FROM 8AM 9AM. PLEASE ENSURE ALL MIXED MEDIA FANTASY IS SUBMITTED BEFORE 9AM AS NO WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED ON MONDAY 29TH JULY FOR JUDGING. Competitors may submit more than one entry per Category, NO MORE than 2 per Category by close of Registration on Sunday 28th July 9am. If your work has not been pre-paid AND preregistered through BHBE, it will not be accepted for judging. Mixed Media Fantasy entries may be submitted by a representative other than the competitor, however event organizers will not be responsible for the art/award/scoresheet after 5pm Monday 29th July Please allocate a representative to collect your award/artwork/scoresheet if you place. Any Mixed Media Fantasy entry must consist of a set of 10 individual tips. Tips may be adhered in any direction or placement and can be filed into any shape or style as long as they are adhered and fit on a board of 25cm x 20cm (8 x10 ) size. The design MUST NOT extend in any direction more than 10cm in height however remembering it must not exceed the dimensions of the attached board. Tips must remain individual and not be secured to one another and must always remain separate/ individual. Design must encompass all 10 tips as a story. The tips/artwork must be adhered to a board, with only a one colour background, no larger than 25cm x 20cm (8 x 10 ). The board may be smaller in dimension however if the board is larger, this will result in a deduction. The display board MUST be one colour only and NO TEXTURE. Any boards with texture or more than one colour will result in a deduction. NO NAMES ON YOUR ARTWORK. The design is open themed NO previously submitted design will be accepted from any other Australian/International competition. ALL entries must be the Competitors own original work. Read carefully as deductions will occur for previous submitted design, part design, assisted design or copied design. 9 HAND PAINTED FLAT NAIL ART THEME OPEN HAND IN/POST IN SUBMISSION THE REGISTRATION DESK AT BHBE WILL BE OPEN ONLY ON SUNDAY 28TH JULY 2019 FROM 8AM 9AM. PLEASE ENSURE ALL HAND PAINTED FLAT NAIL ART IS SUBMITTED BEFORE 9AM AS NO WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED ON MONDAY 29TH JULY FOR JUDGING. Competitors may submit more than one entry per Category, NO MORE than 2 per Category by close of Registration on Sunday 28th July 9am. If your work has not been pre-paid AND preregistered through BHBE, it will not be accepted for judging. Hand Painted Flat Nail Art entries may be submitted by a representative other than the competitor, however event organisers will not be responsible for the art/award/scoresheet after 5pm Monday 29th July Please allocate a representative to collect your award/artwork/scoresheet if you place. A Hand Painted Flat Nail Art entry must consist of a set of 10 individual tip and TIPS MUST BE GRADUATED IN SIZE. Tips can be any shape, style or length and can be placed in any manner as long as it fits within the dimensions of the 15cm x 10cm (6 x 4 ) board it is adhered to. The design must not extend from any tip and must be FLUSH and FLAT strictly no raised design. Design must be finished with either a high shine Top Coat OR Matte Top Coat. Tips must remain individually spaced at least 2.5mm and not be secured to one another and must remain separate/individual. The design must flow and encompass all 10 tips. Each tip must be an individual artwork. The tips/artwork must be adhered to a FLAT board, with one colour background no larger than 15cm x 10cm (6 x 4 ). The board MAY be smaller but any boards LARGER than this will result in a deduction. The display board MUST be one colour only and NO TEXTURE. PLEASE ENSURE ALL SALON DESIGNER NAILS ARE SUBMITTED BEFORE 9AM AS NO WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED ON MONDAY 29TH JULY FOR JUDGING. Competitors may submit more than one entry per Category, NO MORE than 2 per Category by close of Registration on Sunday 28th July 9am. TIPS MUST BE GRADUATED IN SIZE (eg sz9, sz6, sz5, sz6, sz4 for left hand OR sz4, sz6, sz5, sz6, sz9 for right hand). Tips can be any shape or style and can be placed in any manner providing they are adhered and fit on a board of 15cm x 10cm (6 x 4 ) size. The design has no restrictions in height however must remain within the dimensions of the board and be of a salon style nail that can be worn on an everyday client on a regular basis. Tips must remain individual, spaced 2.5mm apart ALWAYS and not be secured to one another ever. The tips/artwork must be adhered to a board, with one colour background, no larger than 15cm x 10cm (6 x 4 ) size. The board may be smaller in dimension however not larger in size. Read carefully as deductions may occur for board size, texture or colour inconsistencies. NO NAMES ON ARTWORK. Even though the artwork is themed, this is your chance to do what you do on a daily basis SALON STYLE nails which are your own personal interpretation. NO previously submitted design will be accepted from ANY other Australian/International competition. ALL entries must be the competitors own original work. Read carefully as deductions may occur for previous submitted designs, assisted designs or copied designs. All nail art must be made using Professional nail products from the following list: - Acrylic - Light Cured Gel Products - Polish - Pigments - Paint (Acrylic, Gel, Watercolour) - Glitter - Embellishments and/or adornments Minimum 4 mediums MUST BE USED and listed within your STEP BY STEP. The judging process will be the same however, the winners will be printed in Beauty Biz Magazine which will be distributed all over Australia. There will be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd placement. TO ENTER THIS COMPETITION YOU MUST REGISTER THROUGH THE BHBE TICKETING SITE VIA HOWEVER ALL PHOTOGRAPHIC SUBMISSIONS WILL BE JUDGED online, prior to the Brisbane Hair & Beauty Expo. Once you have purchased your registration, all photographic submissions must be received via no later than 11:59pm (AEST) Monday 1st July Entries must be ed to nailcompaustralia@gmail.com as per the below instructions. Any entries that are ed after this date OR received by post to BHBE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR JUDGED. Competitors are allowed to enter more than one submission into this category. The cost to enter is $55 per individual photo submission. Our judging team is made up of international judges as well as media judges. We expect a high-level professional photoshoot, a portrait image you would expect to see on a cover of a nail magazine. Images submitted for the BHBE online nail competition must not have been submitted, used or published before for any other local, national or international nail competition. Images must not have been uploaded onto any social media platforms prior to entering the BHBE online nail competition e.g. Instagram or Facebook A BHBE statutory declaration form must be submitted along with the ed image to confirm authenticity of the submissions. This form will be ed to the Competitor on confirmation of registration. The form can also be found on /nail-competition/. Please note that this form does NOT have be to be signed by a Justice of the Peace. A friend/ family member or work colleague is sufficient. All winning images will be printed and displayed by BHBE and be part of an overall photographic galley to be featured at the expo. All images become the property of the BHBE Please submit ONE (1) photo only per individual submission along with a STEP BY STEP. The image MUST be in portrait. Each photo file size to be a minimum 5mb as a JPG and in HIGH Resolution. Ensure the photo file name includes only your QR CODE, which can be found on your registration ticket. Please include the following details in your submission - Name - QR CODE No. (located on your entry ticket) - Salon Name You may source Photographers, Hair Stylists and Makeup Artists however ALL NAIL WORK must be the competitors unassisted and original. DISQUALIFICATION will be enforced even after event if judges can confirm nail work is not original. A minimum of 5 nails must be HIGHLY visible to the judge s line of sight in your entry to comply with the Rules of this category. All nail art must be made using Professional nail products from the following list: - Acrylic - Light cured Gel Products - Polish - Pigments - Paint (acrylic, gel, watercolour) - Glitter - Embellishments and/or adornments At least 4 mediums MUST BE USED and listed within your STEP BY STEP or deductions may occur. Competitors must prepare a simple STEP BY STEP including images of their work and products used HOWEVER no model faces/product brands are to be included. Please include why you have chosen your theme and a reason behind the inspiration of your design. NO NAMES ON YOUR STEP BY STEP. Your step by step must be in PDF format and included as an attachment to your ed submission to nailcompaustralia@gmail.com Editorial Photographic Nail Art will be judged according to the following criteria: - Originality - Visual interest - Colour - Presentation - Balance - Design - Dimension - Overall impression - Complexity - Workmanship - Interpretation of Theme This category is classified as an artistic category and points awarded will be added towards ARTISTIC CHAMPION.

12 COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS The following rules and regulations apply to all categories. Please ensure that you read, understand and follow them at all times during the Competition process. Competitors who do not understand fluent English mu st have a translator translate the rules and regulations for them prior to entering or competing to ensure the competitor fully understands the Competition process. The Category Rules & Regulations, Judges Criteria and the General Rules & Regulations for the Sunshine Pro Series Nail Competition 2018 have all been endorsed by the Professional Nail Technicians Association (PNTA) of Australia. 1. ENTRY ONLINE ENTRY REGISTRATION FOR ALL CATEOGRIES FOUND AT: /nail-competitions/ Registration open for all BHBE competitions opens Wednesday 3rd April Online Photographic category registration and submissions must be completed and received NO LATER than 11:59pm (AEST) on Monday 1st July Hand In category submissions must be registered NO LATER than 11:59pm (AEST) on Friday 12th July LIVE category submissions must be registered and payment received NO LATER than 11:59pm (AEST) on Friday 12th July All Entry Fees include free Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo Access for one (1) competitor and one (1) model. 1.1 Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo Nail Competition will be hosted on Sunday 28th and Monday 29th July 2019 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. 1.2 Competitors must ensure that all relevant fields within the Online Entry Registration are completed, and must include all relevant payment details. REFUNDS/WITHDRAWALS 2.1 We are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind to withdraw, however you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person. You may have other rights under Australian Consumer Law. For full details please contact the organiser or your relevant government agency. 2.2 All Competition withdrawals or transfers MUST be submitted in writing to Competition Coordinator and Event Organisers 3. REGISTRATION AND ASSEMBLY 3.1 All competitors must register on the day of their competition at the Competition Registration/Assembly area. Registration will ONLY be open from 8:00am - 9:00am on Sunday 28th July This is for all live categories AND hand in submission competition categories.

13 COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS 3.2 All competitors an models who require early entry prior to the Expo doors opening will be granted access inside the Exhibition Hall. Instructions will be provided by the event organiser in the lead up to the Expo on how to gain entry 4. GENERAL COMPETITION RULES & CODE OF CONDUCT 4.1 Competitors entering Mixed Media/Hand Painted Flat Nail Art/Salon Designer Nails MUST have all work completed and submitted by the end of competition registration of day 1. No late entries will be accepted. Competitors may allow hand in entries to be submitted via an outside source, as long as online registration has been completed via com.au. Event co-ordinator, head judge or event organisers will not be held responsible for any damaged work. It is the competitors responsibility. 4.2 All work submitted must be the registered competitors OWN WORK. The competitor must strictly do all the work submitted and will not be accepted if the competitor has had assistance from any other person/persons. 4.3 ALL HAND IN COMPETITORS must present themselves and their work at the Nail Registration Desk on Sunday 28th July between 8am and 9am. Any work handed in outside these hours will NOT BE JUDGED. 4.4 ALL FLOOR COMPETITORS must either present themselves at the Nail Registration Desk prior to entry into the Expo OR present themselves to the Head Floor Judge prior to briefing of their entered Category. This ensures ALL COMPETITORS WILL be given their registration packs PRIOR to competing which includes wristbands and numbered stickers for all floor competitions over the weekend. 4.5 Competitors must supply their own models. The competition organiser/ co-ordinator is not responsible for supplying models for any category. Models and competitors MUST sign a model release form. Model release forms will be included in the Competition registration pack and be signed and collected within each LIVE category briefing period. A parent/guardian must sign the form if model is under the age of 18. Event organisers will have a photographer present for marketing purposes and will require release forms. 4.6 Competitors MUST supply all their own products needed for each competition unless previously stated by event organisers. Products must be clearly labelled and in their original packaging. No dispensed or hand-written labels will be accepted and will result in a deduction. 4.7 It is a requirement that competitors have all their products set up prior to the start of each event. Bags will be stowed away from the Competitor workstation and ONLY be made available between each category. It MUST NOT be touched by the Competitor once briefing is finalised. PLEASE NOTE: In the event of an emergency once the Category has commenced, you MUST notify a Floor Judge and they will assist you to remove products/tools from your bag. A point deduction WILL OCCUR for the privilege of entering your bag after briefing commences. 4.8 Briefing will commence approximately 15mins prior to each category. It is in this time that floor judges must be notified of any cuts or marks on the model s hands. Once briefing has started the competitors MUST NOT touch their models at all. Failure to do so will result in a deduction. Once the competition has started models will NOT BE ALLOWED to touch their hands or assist the competitor. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in a deduction. 4.9 There will be plenty of time in between competitions to ensure that you are prepared, and necessary toilet breaks are taken. If in the event of an emergency or where a model or competitor must use a bathroom, a floor judge must be notified and will escort said model or competitor to the facilities. A competitor or model must not leave the competition area once commencement of each category has begun. Once a competition has finished and head floor judge calls time the competitor is free to take breaks, get refreshments etc. No food or drinks EXCEPT WATER are acceptable on the competition floor. NO ALCHOLIC OR PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES are acceptable. Models must remain in the judging area until dismissed by the event co-ordinator COMPETITORS OR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH AN ONLINE/FLOOR/ HAND IN COMPETITOR WILL NOT BE ALLOWED OUT THE BACK IN THE JUDGING AREA AT ANY TIME. Failure to acknowledge this rule WILL result in deductions for the Competitor. Any questions the competitor may have must be directed to head floor judge. Allocated time for post judging questions will be allotted to allow for competitor questioning Any prohibited products or tools which are found to be used during ANY category will result in an immediate disqualification. This includes the use of MMA or banned substances. All competitors must adhere to the current and legal health and safety practices NO COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL OR ART IS ALLOWED AT ANY TIME. ANY AND ALL DESIGNS BEARING EVEN A SIMILAR LIKENESS IS NOT ALLOWED. Eg. Disney, Warner Bros, Barbie, Mario Bros, Star Wars. This will result in a deduction for the work involved. Considering the time and planning it takes in creating nail art, please ensure this rule is followed as a deduction is a huge disappointment ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS MUST BE ADHERED TO. Disqualification will only occur if it previously states in either category rules or general rules. Deductions will occur if ANY rule is not followed or adhered to. In the result of a draw or a tie, the judges will deliberate and ensure a clear and concise winner for said competition. Judges decisions are final. If you need clarification on any rule, please speak with the head floor judge prior to commencement of each category OR to the head judge after the competition is finished Competitors may submit no more than 2 entries per hand in category. Each entry must be paid in full to BHBE. Any entry which has not been paid for upon registration on the BHBE ticketing site prior to Friday 12th July 2019 will not be accepted.

14 COMPETITION RULES & REGULATIONS 5. ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT & ELECTRICITY 5.1 Competitors must bring all necessary electrical supplies including UV/ LED lamp, extension cord and adaptors. The organiser cannot have trailing leads between nail desks and cannot supply leads, bulbs or lamps. NB: Each competitor will be provided with access to 3 (three) electrical power points ONLY for use on the competition floor. 5.2 The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) Management reserves the right to request removal from the site of any electrical equipment it deems to be non-compliant or suspect and can call upon internal specialists to assist when necessary. 5.3 All portable electrical equipment and appliances used on the BCEC site must be tested and tagged in accordance with Australian Standard 3760 and Workplace Health & Safety Legislation. Any electrical equipment found not tested will have to be done immediately or removed from the Centre. 5.4 For safety reasons, double adaptors are not to be used in the Centre. Any person who suffers an electric shock from any piece of electrical equipment MUST report the incident IMMEDIATELY to the Centre s Security Department. 6. LIABILITY 6.1 Each competitor and model agrees to abide by the Competition rules and regulations at all times during the Competition. While on the Competition premises, each competitor and model will act in accordance with these rules and obey any reasonable and lawful direction of the Competition coordinator, or any employee, officer or agent of the Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo. 6.2 Each competitor and model assumes all risk for any liabilities, expense, loses, damages and costs resulting directly or indirectly from their participation in the Competition and indemnifies the Competition coordinator, Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo any employee, officer or agent or Major League Marketing & Events for any expense, loss, damage, liability or cost (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis and whether incurred by or awarded against a party) resulting directly or indirectly from the negligent or unlawful acts or omission of a competitors or models. 6.3 The Brisbane Hair and Beauty Expo, its Organisers (Major League Marketing & Events), employees, officers and agents, Competition Coordinator and the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre shall not be held accountable or liable for any liabilities, expenses, losses, damages, harm, injury or costs incurred by a competitor or model resulting directly or indirectly from their participation in the Competition. 7. DIVISIONS 7.1 Novice Division The competitor is an enrolled student or nail technician who has been qualified NO MORE than 5 years and NEVER placed in any competition globally. 7.2 Open Division The open competitor is a qualified nail technician who has been qualified for 5 years or more and has not placed 1st in any category open or higher of any competition globally. 7.3 Masters Division The competitor is a qualified nail technician of 5 years or more who has placed 1st in ANY competition globally Open or higher. 7.4 Competitors must enter the highest division they qualify for. 7.5 If it s found a competitor has registered in the wrong division, they will receive a 10-point deduction in their final score for each competition. If found that a competitor has been registered in the wrong division after the competition has been completed they will be disqualified. Please ensure you are in the correct division. Please Note Photographic Category No Longer Contains Divisions.. 8. CHAMPIONS Each Division will have an overall Champion. Technicians who enter multiple competitions will be eligible to win the Overall Championship Trophy for their respective division based on an aggregate points system. Technicians who enter a single category will be eligible to win their division within that category. An overall Sunshine Pro Series Nail Competition Champion presented by emendee will also be awarded. 8.1 Novice Champion (enter all the following 6 categories) If a competitor wins the overall Novice Champion they then MUST compete in the Open division, in the following competition year.
