20 Massage techniques 1. Sliding 2. Criss-cross 3. Rotating 4. Pressure point 5. Neck 6. Finishing Massage (All massage movements should flow into one and other, the stroking movement can be used to achieve this transition)

21 Massage SLIDING MOVEMENT Make sliding movements with index and middle fingers, using the thumb as support, working from the crest to the contour lines. Starting from the nape, move to the forehead, completing the head with the entire movement. Use forward pressure, and then let the fingers slide back.

22 Massage CRISS-CROSS MOVEMENT With the fingers spread, make criss-crossing movements, keeping the thumbs in a stationary position. Move both hands simultaneously. Exercise pressure with your fingertips. Begin the massage at the front of head, move to bottom and finish at nape area, criss-crossing the fingers toward each other.

23 Massage ROTATING MOVEMENT Using the knuckles, make small rotating movements. Move the fingers individually while rotating the wrists. Begin at the top and rotate slowly toward the ears from the back of the neck to the crown, massaging the entire head.

24 Massage PRESSURE POINT MOVEMENT Make small, circular movements along the hairline, using index and middle fingers. Using both hands, exercise light pressure with a moment of rest on the pressure points. Begin at the forehead and continue along the temples, moving toward the neck, where both hands finish together.

25 Massage NECK MASSAGE Lift the client s head and massage the neck muscles. With index finger and thumb, massage the muscles of the neck three times. Direct pressure from the head down toward the shoulders; slide back to original position without using pressure.

26 Massage FINISHING Place both hands on top of the head in a resting position. Using light pressure, glide downwards with both hands. Rinse the hair with lukewarm water. Sprinkle a few drops of oil on the Aroma Cloth and place on the forehead to complete the massage.
