Activon Tube 100% Medical grade Manuka honey Activon Tube contains 100% Manuka honey with no additives from New Zealand. Our Manuka honey is filtered and sterilised, making it suitable for application to wounds. Manuka honey will de-bride and de-slough, eliminate odours and provides a moist wound healing environment. Activon Tube is ideal for debriding necrotic tissue, or for topping up dressings where the honey has been washed away by exudate. Great for using in cavities, just wash away with saline solution. Twist off cap, apply directly to the wound or use in conjunction with Activon Tulle or Algivon to increase the concentration of Manuka honey at the wound site. Cover with a secondary dressing of choice which may be an absorbent pad or film dressing. Replace cap and dispose of tube, single patient use only. Activon may be applied to any wound but especially sloughy, necrotic and malodorous wounds, including: Diabetic ulcers Surgical wounds Burns Graft sites Infected wounds Cavity wounds Sinuses Although the honey is not absorbed into the blood stream, we advise monitoring the levels of patients with diabetes. Do not use if allergic to bee venom. Discomfort can be experienced when honey is applied, depending on sensitivity of the wound it may be necessary to consider an appropriate level of analgesic. The initial discomfort usually subsides, however if it does continue, discontinue use and irrigate the wound with saline solution. STERILE R Sterilised using radiation Store at room temperature. Due to the nature of honey, it can solidify at cold temperatures become more liquid at warm temperatures. If the product has hardened, warm between hands to soften before use. If the product has become too liquid, place in a colder place such as a fridge for a few minutes. Activon Tube ordering information References (1) Molan. 2 Activon Tulle Knitted viscose mesh impregnated with 100% Manuka honey Activon Tulle is a knitted viscose mesh primary dressing impregnated with Manuka honey. Activon Tulle creates a moist healing environment and effectively eliminates wound odour whilst providing antibacterial action. Activon Tulle is ideally selected for granulating or shallow wounds, it s a good choice when debriding or de-sloughing small areas of necrotic or sloughy tissue. Activon Tulle is placed (either side down) onto the wound surface; dressings can be placed side by side to cover large wound areas or cut to size. Activon Tulle can be unfolded to cover larger areas, this reduces the concentration of honey at the wound site. Depending on the tissue type within the wound bed and level of exudate, your secondary dressing of choice could be a film or absorbent dressing. In wounds with a high level of exudate an additional highly absorbent dressing can be introduced to help manage exudate. We recommend the Eclypse super absorbent dressing. Antibacterial Osmotic effect Enhanced healing Odour reduction Conformable Non-adherent Activon Tulle may be applied to any wound but especially sloughy, necrotic and malodorous wounds, including: Diabetic ulcers Pressure sores Malodorous wounds Dry, sloughy or necrotic wounds Although the honey is not absorbed into the blood stream, we advise monitoring the levels of patients with diabetes. Infected wounds Store at room temperature. Due to the nature of honey, it can solidify at cold temperatures become more liquid at warm temperatures. If the product has hardened, warm between hands to soften before use. If the product has become too liquid, place in a colder place such as a fridge for a few minutes. Activon Tulle ordering information 5cm x 5cm CR EJE cm x 10cm CR EJE Activon Tulle is a triple layer knitted viscose net dressing which can be unfolded to decrease the amount of honey if discomfort is being experienced by the patient. STERILE R Sterilised using radiation Algivon releases honey at a slower rate into the wound therefore may be a solution if discomfort is being experienced by the patient when using Activon Tulle.

Algivon Alginate dressing impregnated with 100% Manuka honey Algivon is a soft alginate dressing impregnated with 100% medical grade Manuka honey. The alginate fibres enable a sustained, slower release of honey. Algivon is an ideal choice for wetter wounds as the alginate has a small capacity to absorb, meaning the honey isn t washed away with exudate therefore staying at the wound site for longer. The dressing is very soft and conformable, ideal for cavities and debriding and de-sloughing large areas of necrotic and sloughy tissue. Algivon is placed (either side down) onto the wound surface; dressings can be placed side by side to cover large wound areas or cut to size ensuring that sharp scissors are used. Depending on the tissue type within the wound bed and level of exudate your secondary dressing of choice could be a film dressing and/or bandage. In wounds with a high level of exudate an additional highly absorbent dressing can be introduced to help manage exudate. Antibacterial Osmotic effect Enhanced healing Odour reduction Conformable Non-adherent Algivon may be applied to any wound but especially sloughy, necrotic and malodorous wounds, including: Diabetic ulcers Fungating lesions Complicated surgical wounds Although the honey is not absorbed into the blood stream, we advise monitoring the levels of patients with diabetes. Store at room temperature. Due to the nature of honey, it can solidify at cold temperatures become more liquid at warm temperatures. If the product has hardened, warm between hands to soften before use. If the product has become too liquid, place in a colder place such as a fridge for a few minutes. Abrasions Infected wounds Cavity wounds Algivon ordering information 5cm x 5cm CR ELS cm x 10cm CR ELS STERILE R Sterilised using radiation Algivon is very soft and conformable so great for packing sinuses/cavities. It s also absorbent so good for wetter wounds as the honey stays at the wound site for longer in the dressing.

Actilite Non-adherent viscose net dressing coated with 99% Manuka honey and 1% Manuka oil Actilite is a light viscose net dressing coated with antibacterial Manuka honey & Manuka oil. The dressing is designed to protect a wound, promote healing and allow the passage of exudate. The antibacterial effect of Actilite has been enhanced by combining high grade antibacterial Manuka oil with Manuka honey. The combination of Manuka honey and Manuka oil has been demonstrated in-vitro to be effective against a number of major wound infecting organisms including MRSA, VRE and Providentia stuartii. Remove from the outer packet, remove clear films and apply to the wound either side up. Apply a secondary dressing of choice, this can be an absorbent dressing or semi-permeable film dressing depending on the nature of the wound. We recommend Eclypse Adherent or Episil Absorbent. Actilite can also be used under Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) or a primary layer to reduce bacterial burden. Antibacterial Osmotic effect Enhanced healing Odour reduction Conformable Non-adherent Suitable for all wound types where a primary layer is indicated and an antibacterial effect may be advantageous including: Cuts Abrasions Burns Surgical wounds Although the honey is not absorbed into the blood stream, we advise monitoring the levels of patients with diabetes. Diabetic ulcers Infected wounds Actilite ordering information 10cm x 10cm CR EJE cm x 20cm CR EJE Store at room temperature. Due to the nature of honey, it can solidify at cold temperatures become more liquid at warm temperatures. If the product has hardened, warm between hands to soften before use. If the product has become too liquid, place in a colder place such as a fridge for a few minutes. STERILE R Sterilised using radiation Actilite is a light non adherent, non sticky dressing ideal for infection prevention.

Eclypse Super absorbent secondary dressing Eclypse is a highly absorbent, high capacity wound exudate management product designed to absorb fluid, reduce potential leaks and reduce risk of maceration. The dressing has a rapid wicking face combined with the highly absorbent moisture locking system. The absorbent layer provides a large capacity with rapid fluid uptake. The backing is a water resistant barrier film to prevent strike-through with a high moisture vapour transfer rate prolonging wear ability. Eclypse is placed white face down on wound surface with beige backing uppermost. For large wounds several dressings can be placed side-by-side and secured with an appropriate tape or bandage. Wear time will depend on the level of exudate but Eclypse can be left in place for up to seven days. Eclypse can be used under compression therapy. Rapid absorption High capacity Fluid repellent backing Strength and durability Stay dry technology Thin and conforming Moderate to heavily exuding wounds including: Arterial bleeds and heavily bleeding wounds. Do not cut Eclypse. Sloughy wounds Granulating wounds Post operative sutured or dehisced wounds Fungating wounds Donor site management Ordering information for Eclypse 10cm x 10cm CR EJE029 n/a 15cm x 15cm CR EJE cm x 30cm CR EJE cm x 40cm CR EJE Sterilised using ethelyne oxide Eclypse has very similar technology to nappies, the dressing will expand with exudate, that s a great sign the dressing needs to be changed - the patient may notice it s become a little heavy.

Eclypse Adherent Super absorbent dressing with a soft silicone contact layer Eclypse Adherent is a super absorbent wound exudate management dressing with a soft silicone contact layer. The soft silicone layer provides convenient gentle adherence and will reduce pain and tissue damage on removal. Eclypse Adherent is placed face down on wound surface with blue backing uppermost. 12 Siltape Soft silicone perforated tape roll Siltape is a soft silicone fixation tape delivered on a handy roll with perforations for ease of use, no scissors are required. Siltape can be used in any situation where a regular adhesive tape would be used. It is particularly useful where friable or sensitive skin is an issue. It is ideal for use on paediatrics and neonates. Siltape is a suitable solution to taping down eyelids for theatre. Acrylic based tapes are often used, these can be painful to remove and in some cases cause tissue damage or pull out eyelashes. Siltape is great for securing IV lines and fistula needles as it can be repositioned with no loss of adherence and with atraumatic soft silicone, no tissue damage will occur. Small incision sites such as biopsys can be covered with Siltape with no harm to the wound or surrounding skin. Siltape is ideal for protecting friable tissue from pressure damage or sores from tubing; this is especially useful on the face and tops of ears. Siltape can be applied directly to the skin and tubing placed on top. Atraumatic soft silicone, reduced pain on change, adjustment or removal Soft & conformable Adheres only to dry skin not to a moist wound Easily adjustable with no loss of adherence Hold dressings in place Taping down eyelids (in theatre) Securing IV lines Over small incision sites Under oxygen masks on bridges of noses Securing fistula needles Do not use if allergic to silicone. 14 Advadraw Rapid capillary action dressing An absorbent, non-adherent dressing with a rapid wicking effect. Advadraw has a unique integrated central wicking layer between absorbent polyester/ viscose fibres lined with perforated nonadherent film. Fluid from the wound bed is rapidly absorbed into the dressing and distributed by the central layer resulting in sustained movement of exudate from a wound bed. The wicking of fluid from the wound bed will promote autolytic debridement, deslough and debride wounds and help remove bacteria in the exudate. Advadraw is placed (either side down) onto the wound surface. Dressings can be placed side by side to cover large wound areas and layered to optimise absorbency. Advadraw can be cut to size ensuring that sharp scissors are used. Secure with a secondary dressing of choice. Depending on wound exudate levels, any surrounding interstantial fluid, oedema and number of layers used, Advadraw may initially require changing daily but can be extended and left in place for up to 7 days. Advadraw will need changing when the top up layer becomes saturated to the dressing margins. Rapid absorption Draws in exudate Capillary action Non-adherent Easy to cut Soft and conformable Highly absorbent All acute and chronic wounds, especially sloughy, necrotic or exuding wounds including: Post operative or dehisced surgical wounds Arterial bleeds, heavily bleeding wounds and vascular fungating tumours. Ordering information for Advadraw Size Stock code Pack size PIP code 5cm x 7.5cm CR cm x 10cm CR cm x 15cm CR cm x 20cm CR Sterilised using ethylene oxide Advadraw can be stacked in layers on top of each other. If you feel there is high exudate you can remove top layers and apply new ones. This helps reduce unnecessary dressing changes and reducing trauma to wound and infection.

Advadraw Spiral Rapid capillary action ribbon An absorbent, low adherent dressing with a wicking effect, presented in a spiral ribbon form. The dressing comprises of a soft viscose and polyester fibres with a central wicking layer with a perforated permeable wound contact layer. The unique spiral shape allows the dressing to be easily cut to length for insertion into cavity wounds or conform to deep wound beds. Fluid from the wound bed is rapidly absorbed into the ribbon and distributed by the central layer, resulting in sustained movement of exudate from a wound bed. This helps to manage exudate levels and promote autolytic debridement. Advadraw Spiral can be inserted into a wound or placed (either side down) onto the wound surface. The end of Advadraw Spiral can be inserted into a standard Advadraw dressing which will act as a reservoir for exudate collection. Advadraw Spiral can be cut to length. Secure with a secondary dressing e.g. a film dressing, bandage and/or tape. Advadraw Spiral may initially require changing daily but can be left in place for up to seven days. Rapid absorption Draws in exudate Capillary action Can be used directly on wound bed All acute and chronic wounds, especially sloughy, necrotic or exuding wounds including: Post operative or dehisced surgical wounds Cavity wounds Arterial bleeds, heavily bleeding wounds and vascular fungating tumours. Ordering information for Advadraw Size Stock code Pack size PIP code 0.5cm x 40cm CR Sterilised using ethylene oxide Advadraw Spiral doesn t go soft in the cavity unlike hydrofibres do. Less chance of losing the dressing in the wound and less complications of removing the dressing.
