After eye contact, immediately flush eyes with copious amounts of running water. After skin contact, rinse with running water and soap. Use proper skin care lotions. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Not flammable or combustible. Fire extinguishers and standard fire extinguishing methods are sufficient. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal precautions Environmental precautions Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as detailed in Section 8 of this MSDS. Powder plaster and mortar must be prevented from infiltrating into soil, rivers, lakes and waste water drains. Methods of cleaning up If spilt, collect and reuse where possible. 7. STORAGE AND HANDLING Store material in a cool, dry, ventilated area. Wear recommended personal protective equipment when handling (See Section 8). 8. Due to product form and nature of use, the potential for exposure is reduced. Product may only present a hazard if dust is generated. Contact may result in mechanical irritation. Upon extended exposure, it may cause skin sensitisation. No signs of toxicity have been noticed on the reproductive function. No konwn long term effects 12. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Stable product with no known adverse environmental effects. 13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Waste from gypsum based products is normally classified as 'non-hazardous, non-inert' and is fully recyclable. Dispose in accordance with local authority regulations.
