Skin: Carbon black may accumulate in the skin after chronic exposure producing a tatooing effect called "Anthracosis." Prolonged or repeated skin contact may result in absorption through the skin. This may affect the liver, blood (pigmented or nucleated red blood cells) and cause weight loss. Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: Tuberculosis; smoking; exposure to silica. Section 2.
