2 The largest and most high profile in-cosmetics Latin America to date Reaffirming its importance to the Latin American personal care industry, in-cosmetics Latin America returned to São Paulo for its fourth edition on September With a 20% size increase, the event provided a business platform for leading global personal care ingredient suppliers such as Ashland, Chemyunion, Clariant, Croda, Dow, Evonik and Lonza to showcase their innovations to cosmetic manufacturers in the region. The show attracted 4,689 professionals, a 12% increase on 2016 and featured key cosmetic brands such as Alicorp, Avon, Beiersdorf, Belcorp, Colgate-Palmolive, Estée Lauder, Genomma Lab, Hypermarcas, JBS S/A, Johnson & Johnson, L Oréal, Mary Kay, Natura, Naturel SA, O Boticario, P&G, The Ballerina Group, Unilever and Unique Yanbal Group. The show broke another record with its largest ever Innovation Zone featuring 28 new ingredients whilst visitors were given access to 151 exhibiting companies including new ones like Assessa, Autec, Citrefine, Down Under Enterprises, DuPont, Hallstar and SEPPIC Brasil. Another feature brought together Amanter, Capuani, Citróleo, Embacaps, Givaudan, Vollmens Fragrances, Lucas Meyer, Phytoessence, Sensient and Symrise as part of the Fragrance Trail, promoting their new scents, oils and fragrances. in-cosmetics Latin America 2018 will be taking place at Expo Center Norte, São Paulo from September Visitors Key Statistics Unique visitor attendance 3,890 (+11% vs 2016) Total (including re-visits): 4,689 (+12% vs 2016) Day 1: 2,419 Day 2: 2,270 First-Time Visitors The show has exceeded all my expectations; it was a valuable experience. in-cosmetics Latin America is really important for the development of the cosmetic industry in Latin America, it inspires us and helps us to bring ideas and innovations back to our company in Colombia. I enjoyed connecting with the big players and discovering smaller companies. I gathered interesting technologies and innovative products to share with my team. The educational programme was also extremely enriching and I was happy to discover more about the Brazilian market. The event was easy to navigate and I felt I had two very busy and productive days. This is the biggest differentiation between this show and other events in the region. Here we meet the type of visitors that really matter to us, from different countries like Argentina, Chile, Peru and Argentina. This year at the show we presented a unique concept which allowed our customers to experience - through prototypes - the innovations that are coming in a couple of months. 7 Innovation at its best With 28 new ingredients and daily live demonstrations by market intelligence agency Mintel, the Innovation Zone was once again very popular and allowed cosmetic manufacturers to see everything that is new in one place and gain inspiration for their future product formulations. Recognising the development of the best novel ingredient To recognise the development of novel actives and functional ingredients, we ran the first ever Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Awards at in-cosmetics Latin America. Givaudan scooped the Gold prize with Revivyl whereas Silab won silver with HAIRGENYL and bronze was awarded to Vantage, with the PreBio Defense. ITEHPEC Innovation Awards 2017 In its third edition ITEHPEC honoured innovative products created by manufacturers of cosmetic ingredients that contribute to the development and novelty of the Brazilian personal care industry. At the cocktail reception, the winners were announced: Silab won Gold, followed by Clariant with Silver and Lipotec was awarded bronze.

8 Education & Interactivity NEW: Make-Up Bar Completing the offer of interactive areas at the exhibition and maximising visitors contact with raw materials, the brand-new Make-Up Bar was launched this year. In this area, exhibitors had the opportunity to showcase their expertise in colour cosmetics and visitors were able to put make-up formulations to the test. Brands including Nikkol Group and Inolex showed inspiring trends in the areas of colour and pigments. NEW: Protection Showcase Formulators and R&D professionals encountered cutting-edge ingredients with protection benefits. A highlight was DSM, which demonstrated the effectiveness of Pepha -Age, an active compound that harnesses the full potential of the freshwater algae Scenedesmus rubecens, as it stimulates the skin s own defence against the negative impact of sunlight. Angus, Citrefine and Silab also introduced innovative solutions. Formulation Lab R&D and lab professionals from L Oréal, Contém1g, Naturelle, L Occitane, Oxapharma, Natura among others enjoyed free-to-attend practical training sessions delivered by the likes of Chemyunion, Nikko Chemicals, Ashland, SEPPIC, Gattefossé and Dow. They learned the secrets to create winning formulations in a purpose built laboratory on the show floor. Sensory Bar For the second year, visitors were invited to engage their senses, discover exciting formulations and touch products developed by raw material suppliers with the latest personal care ingredients. They had the opportunity to experience transforming textures, new fragances and pigments presented by suppliers such as Chemyunion, Citróleo, DSM, DuPont, Evonik, Inolex and Lonza.

9 Education & Interactivity ITEHPEC Workshop The 4th edition of the ITEHPEC Technical Workshop on Trends, challenges and new pathways for the cosmetics industry was delivered by renowned industry experts including Nathalie Alepée - Research Associate from L Oréal France; Iguatemi Costa - Senior Scientific Manager from Natura; Dr. Maurício S. Baptista from USP and Ariadne Tramontina Morais - Regulatory Affairs from Johnson & Johnson among others. Technical Seminar The Technical Seminars helped visitors to familiarise themselves with key personal care ingredients and discover insights into innovative concepts from Symrise, Momentive, Chemyunion, Lanxess, Beraca, Solvay, Dupont, Givaudan, UL Prospector, Nikkol and NanoVec. These suppliers shared in depth knowledge of their solutions and were able to show scientific evidence to substantiate the claims associated with their ingredients. Marketing Trends and Regulations Visitors had a chance to learn and explore the latest regulatory issues and trends, including the Brazil Beauty News round table about fragrance ingredients; a Cosmetics & Toiletries panel - with topics such as biodiversity, Synesthesia in cosmetics and Mercosur regulatory status; and research from leading agencies including Beautystreams, Euromonitor International, Mintel and Peclers. Interactive Product Demonstration Giving a unique opportunity to gain more in-depth knowledge of the products and services suppliers are offering, the show s interactive product demonstration sessions covered topics such as the influence of neutralizers in stability, sensorial and safety; working with natural phospholipids and how to create cosmetic emulsions aligned with the concept of vegetation.

10 Media Coverage The event has been covered in all main trade publications, which allowed exhibitors to be associated with the strong in-cosmetics Latin America brand. In total, the press campaign achieved in excess of 336 articles in the region. 10+ minutes of exposure on TV Globo Brazil - Bem Estar TV show. in-cosmetics Latin America had a presence in some of the most important media outlets including business-focused publications before and during the show. in-cosmetics Latin America is the main exhibition for the personal care industry in this region. Here is the place we launch our innovations to the Latin American market. This year we presented a new sensorial concept, which take visitors to experience the use of cosmetics at different travel destinations, and how this could reflect on their day to day lives.
