Target Audience This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of all surgeons, as well as non-surgeons, nurses and office staff involved in the surgical and non surgical treatments designed to restore and enhance facial aesthetics. Program Overview This course is designed to equip practitioners involved in facial aesthetic procedures and services with information on effective and efficacious surgical approaches to the various areas of the face and non-biased, fact-based information on non-surgical adjunctive techniques, equipment and products available to enhance aesthetic results. Accreditation Statement This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Medical Education Resources (MER) and The Foundation for Facial Aesthetic Surgery. MER is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. This CE activity provides 34 contact hours. Provider approval expires July 31, Medical Education Resources is an approved provider of continuing education by the Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation. Learning Objectives: Select the appropriate surgical approach to achieve the aesthetic goal of the patient. Discuss non-surgical options and how such options can be used alone or combined with surgical treatments for best results. Differentiate between various dermal fillers or implants and select those most appropriate for desired results such as volume replacement, filling of lines and grooves, or facial contouring. Differentiate between available denervation options and understand pros and cons of each. Select the appropriate device, peel, and/or skin care option, in isolation or combination, to improve wrinkling, tone, texture, pigmentation, or other skin conditions.
