4 Nowadays, there is a growing demand of alternative treatments from clients currently unhappy with the conventional therapies. The reasons of such unhappiness are the poor results and the high costs but also the several side effects of conventional therapies, such as hypertrichosis, dermatitis, periphery edema, headache and negative effects over sexual life. Building on this observation, we aimed to create a combined system between hair therapy techniques and the use of natural products able to satisfy the client s needs while ensuring aesthetic efficiency and high tolerability. The perfect combination of the Tricopigmentation action, RigenRoller microneedling and the systematic use of Rigen+, RigenShampoo and RigenCream represents an effective therapy against the AGA (Androgenetic Alopecia) and the Telogen Effluvium. It is a safe therapy, a minimally invasive treatment and it works for both males and females. RigenRoller action is based over the microneedling of the skin, an action of micro-perforations carried out by hundreds of small, thin needles (0,20 mm), in order to minimize any possible skin damage. Microneedling is an innovative treatment meant to stimulate the scalp, micro-invasive and most of important, painless. Initially used for the production of collagen, it proved capable of aiding the penetration of Rigen+ active substances into the skin and of indirectly influencing the hair follicle and the dermal papilla. 5 The micro-holes appearing after the use of RigenRoller close completely after a couple of hours, leaving the outer skin untouched and preventing any possible infection. The main goal of this treatment is to stimulate hair growth, to increase hair thickness and to protect the hair from the oxidative stress caused to the organism by internal and external factors. RigenRoller, slows down the loss of hair by facilitating the transcutaneous absorption of active ingredients able to stimulate several growth factors. Such results, obtained by using the Tricogen Line for a minimum of 12 weeks, are supported by the latest scientific literature findings, that demonstrate how the joint use of a microneedling treatment and the application of active ingredients over the skin has proven to be more efficient than the sole use of products. Below, some references from the above-mentioned literature: All the patients of the joint therapy had an increase of hair thickness during the treatment first month. After 3 months the presence of new hair over the scalp was recorded and after 6 months there was a significant increase of hair covering the scalp. The patients were all quite happy with the results. If we were to perform a detailed analysis of the micro-perforations obtained through the Tricopigmentation treatment and the RigenRoller action, we could state from the very beginning that the factors potentially involved in the restoration of the hair follicle are more than a few. The Tricopigmentation treatment and RigenRoll microneedling take advantage of the capacity of the dermis to regenerate itself after having substained a 4

6 wound. The combined action of RigenRoller micro-needles and the Tricopigmentation needles causes the formation of micro-pores, through which Rigen+ active ingredients spread over. It also causes the formation of shallow micro-wounds that brings forth a flood of positive reactions, favoring the reparation and the healing processes of the wounds through the production of specifics growth factors. By taking advantage of the scalp features, the different growth factors involved exercise their action directly over the bulb cells, the dermal papilla, the stem cells and the fibroblasts, (capable of producing new collagen). By doing so, the optimal conditions of support and/or hair and eyebrows regrowth are recreated. The growth factors involved in the process are several, but we will only name a few: PDGF (piastrinic derivated growth factor), acting directly over the production of new fibroblasts, they stimulate the production of new tissues (this is also the principle at the basis of the PRP therapy) EGF (epidermal growth factor) FGF (fibroblast growth factor) VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) As we were saying, all this together with other factors, brings a change in the micro-environment of the follicles, by stimulating the papilla stem cells that are at the basis of the formation of new hair. In conclusion, the opening of channels over the scalp surface, the activation of the growth factors, the induction of fibroblasts and of the stem cells determine the production of new collagen and hyaluronic acid, which in turns creates a natural and physiological space of the tissue underneath. 5

7 The synergy of actions between the Tricopigmentation activity and the action of Rigen- Roller and Rigen+ allows for the creation of a tight control system over the hair life cycle by recreating favorable conditions for hair growth and by slowing down hair loss. Method of use: Be sure to wash your hair and your eyebrows with RigenShapoo before using RigenRoller. Use RigenRoller over the area to be treated, having care to always disinfect the area with a Betadine solution or a similar product before applying Rigen+. Perform a series of vertical, horizontal and diagonal movements without putting too much pressure on the device. The vascular stimulation may cause a slight reddening of the scalp, this is a normal occurrence as long as there is no bleeding. Apply a vial of Rigen+ immediately after and let it work. In order to let the scalp, react by facilitating the production of the factors mentioned above, we recommend the following frequency of use: during the first four week, apply RigenRoller two times a week, allowing a resting time of 72h between the applications (e.g. Monday and Thursday). from the fifth week until the conclusion of the sixth month, we recommend a single application per week, having care of always following the same methods of preparation. 10 As far as the cosmetic field is involved, because of obvious ethical reasons, the stem cells used are of vegetal origin, (particularly useful are those derived from the apple as they present the best characteristics). Rigen+ is characterized by the presence of a biocompatible stem cells extract of Malus Domestica originally coming from a variety of Swiss apples (Uttwiler Spatlauber) capable of undergoing the whole winter season without rotting. 12 The presence of Curcuma Longa and of one of its active ingredient, the curcumin, allows Rigel+ to perform a strong anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant action against the free radicals, which produced under specific environmental conditions (pollution, UVA/UVB rays, the use of chemical products) attack the bulb functionality. In a recent scientific publication yet another property of the Curcuma was discovered, the one that enables the Curcuma to inhibit the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme. Such enzyme plays a prominent role in transforming testosterone to its active form, the DHT (dihydrotestosterone), which is involved in some dermatological diseases connected to androgenic hormones such as the Alopecia Androgenetic. By way of example and not limited to, the table below offer a scheme meant to clarify the hormones role, the receptors role and the enzymes role as far as their involvement with the Alopecia pathology are concerned. In this table we analyze the targets hit by the different Rigel+ components. Hair loss is a clinical manifestation that involves the scalp, it is clearly tied with the androgenic hormones synthesized from cholesterol by the testicles, the ovaries and the adrenal glands. 13 Among these hormones, the DHT was identified as one of the primary causes of hair loss. As we stated above, the DHT is synthesized from testosterone by the enzyme 5-Alpha-Reductase. 14 There are various scientific findings encouraging the use of topic preparations containing the Serenoa repens to treat the Androgenetic Alopecia. Because of that we can state that the use of topic preparations containing the Serenoa repens in any hair loss treatments is a valid alternative to the use of medicines, especially for people sensitive to the medications side effects. Among the natural remedies contained within Rigen+ to treat hair loss and to favor hair growth we must mention, a most important one, the Panax Ginseng. Ginseng, as it is usually called, is famous for having various pharmacological effect such as the ability to act as an anti-inflammatory and an anti-oxidant. 16 Method of use: After washing your hair with RigenShampoo apply a vial of Rigen+ over your wet hair and your scalp. Massage delicately, then proceed to dry your hair off.
