Stylists learn how to offer clients supreme quality re-usable hair extensions, in a fantastic range of colours, that can be blended to perfection. 7 SYSTEM 2: Pre-Bonded This two-day hair extensions training programme educates stylists in the NEW Racoon International pre-bonded system. Each bond is individually formed with the quality hair and unique bonding formula that Racoon International is renowned for. The pre-bonded hair extensions are easy to apply and quick to remove leaving no trace or residue. This system is scientifically proven not to damage hair. This training programme is delivered as two consecutive days and includes a short demonstration of our core hot-bonded hair extensions system. Micro Wefts are the perfect choice for a special occasion and can be worn for up to four weeks before being removed, re-conditioned, re-taped and re-applied. Being micro in size, they are discreet whether the hair is worn up or down. A full head of Micro Wefts can be applied in just 45 minutes. This system is scientfically proven not to damage hair. Each stylist will learn to design and apply creative placements. 13 BRIDAL HAIR AND CREATIVE STYLING Using either the Racoon International bonded hair extensions or Micro Wefts, stylists will learn how to develop six different creative long hair designs during this one-day training programme. Following a demonstration of each design, stylists will re-create each style on their own model. This course includes many hints and tips for bridal hair and hair up. Accessories (from padding to tiaras) will be provided on the day for Academy courses. 15 HAIR IN RECOVERY This unique training programme has been developed in partnership with an expert Independent Trichologist, to provide a dedicated referral provision for clients with medical hair loss. Hair in Recovery incorporates elements of trichology and covers a multitude of hair and scalp issues including Alopecia, Telogen Effluvium plus the effects of Chemotherapy. During the practical session, stylists will receive refresher training on forming the perfect bond and micro bonding. Racoon International subsidises areas of this programme including hair, bonding and wetline products for clients with medical hair loss. Stylists certified in this specialist programme are included on the unique Hair in Recovery referral system. Stylists should only subscribe to this course if they have been certified in the Racoon International hot-bonded hair extensions course (System 1) for a minimum of six months. 17 DIPLOMA This is the ultimate in hair extensions education. Each stylist will be required to present both a mood board and portfolio to the Creative Director. The mood board should reflect the hair extensions work they will be carrying out on the day. During the practical session, stylists will need to demonstrate formation of the perfect bond, whilst using creative colour techniques to successfully blend shades. Following the initial finished look, the stylist will demonstrate and present a hair up design. The final session is a Trichology and Ethical Sourcing written questionnaire which forms part of the assessment process. 22 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why offer Racoon International hair extensions? Hair extensions can give clients instant, beautiful hair without the need for chemicals or patch testing. Is the hair ethically sourced? We are proud to offer our guarantee of ethical sourcing. Will hair extensions damage my client s hair? Some hair extensions can seriously damage a client s hair, but our hair extension systems have been scientifically proven (by an expert Independent Trichologist) not to damage hair. This is providing they are applied and maintained by a Racoon International certified expert and the aftercare guidelines are followed. Will glue be applied to my client s hair? Glue will definitely not be applied. Either gentle, translucent bonds will be applied or virtually invisible Micro Weft tapes. Both are scientifically proven not to damage your client s hair. Can hair be coloured when wearing hair extensions? Hair can be coloured but great care must be taken not to get colour onto either bonds or Micro Weft tapes. High-lights or Lo-lights are best achieved during maintenance appointments. 22
