9 450 minutes January 28-Feb Design thermal curling, finger waves, pin curls, roller control and blow drying for each texture of hair. Identifying facial and head shapes and contours. Hair Design Techniques 1. Utilize thermal irons to create complete designs and impart texture patterns on dry hair. 2. Recognize and identify molding and hair direction in finger wave patterns. 3. Understand the various shaped bases used when working with pin curls. 4. Identify the importance of directional movement, volume rollers, and hair sectioning in roller control and placement. 5. Explain the process of drying and styling all textures of hair simultaneously to create new forms. 6. Determine facial types, head shapes and contours in creating various hairstyling techniques using research.
