1 SKIN CARE CLASS/APPOINTMENT OUTLINE Some things you may want to have in addition to your Starter Kit: - cotton pads for eye makeup remover - travel size spritz bottles (for getting their face wet) - wash cloths - headband/hair clips incase they need to pin back hair/bangs - pens - tickets for a drawing at the end When guests arrive, have them sit down and fill out the profile card. You may match them for foundation at this point too, and once you match them write the color on the back of profile card in pink section. (They will fill out the back of the profile card after the party) SATIN HANDS PAMPERING You may do this on the hostess before everyone gets there and explain it to her, so that when the guests get there, she can do satin hands on everyone while you finish setting up trays. INTRODUCTION Thank you everyone SO much for coming and supporting my business! We are going to do some introductions, then do lots of pampering with our skin care, play a fun game, do an easy quick makeup look, then we will meet individually at the end, but most of all we are going to have FUN and learn new things! So let s go around and I would love to hear your: - name - what you do for a living - What you would like to change about your skin - what you love about the hostess Tell them your I-story! (you may write notes below)

2 Share a little bit about the company: - Company was started over 53 years ago by a woman named Mary Kay Ash - Headquarters are in Dallas Texas, all products made in USA - She started with only $5,000 and everyone told her that her plan wouldn t work, but she did it anyways and today we are the #1 brand in Skin Care and Cosmetics! - Mary Kay is all about giving back every sale, 5% of it goes to our Charitable foundation which helps with research for womens cancers and also helps to stop domestic violence. - Mary Kay always said that theres at least 1 person at every party that would be a great consultant so if this is something you would every consider please don t hesitate to ask me questions! I m looking to build my team and I would love to work with any of you! - So are you ready to start your facial!? START FACIALS Product Order 1. Eye makeup Remover - shake til cloudy, the 2 layers (one waterproof and one for regular makeup) - oil free so will not leave your eyes feeling greasy - has b vitamins in it and conditioners so it promotes healthy lashes - put on cotton pad or cotton ball and wipe away eye makeup - even if you don t have eye makeup on, it s a good cleaner for you eye (google: eye mites) - safe for contact wearers 2. Cleanser - you either have the Combo/Oily formula or Normal/Dry formula - get face damp (have them do 5 or 6 spritzes from a travel size spray bottle) - scoop up cleanser and massage all over your face

3 - 3 in 1 cleanser does 3 things: - amazing deep pore cleanser to get out all the junk in your pores - exfoliation beads to exfoliate the dead skin cells off promotes healthy glowing skin - plus a toner/freshner in it as well to help with pore size and ph balance - once they wipe off cleanser, ask How does your face feel?? 3. Microdermabrasion Step 1 - get your face damp (have them do 8-10 spritzes from a travel size spray bottle) - scoop up microderm and massage all over your face, stay away from eyes - if it feels too rough, add more water - this helps with - surface acne and acne scarring - chicken pox scarring - blackheads - large pores - rough spots - oily spots - lines and wrinkles - compared to salons and spas it s the same exact ingredients and process at a fraction of the price!! To get this done at the salon I go to, its $101...for ONE time... but our set is only $55!! And you only do this once, maybe twice a week (leave 72 hours in between). I can usually get treatments out of it and it lasts me about a year! - make sure when wiping off, they get off all the little gritties - ask How does your face feel?? 4. Microdermabrasion Step 2 - once face is somewhat dry, smooth on the Microderm #2. - this is the replenishing serum pore minimizer - lots of vitamins and antioxidants to replenish your skin and soothe skin - has ingredients in there to help shrink your pores! - how does your face feel?

4 5. Satin Lips - apply the sugar scrub mask to your lips and massage in - this helps get off all the dead dry lip skin - see chunks of white? That s dead lip skin coming off! - wipe off mask and apply the shea butter balm - who uses chapstick? You are just putting on a waxy film on your lips so nothing is soaking in to benefit your lip skin! Balms are better. Use our balm! It soaks into your lips and hydrates for 6 hours straight - how do your lips feel? 6. Day Solution SPF 35 - apply day solution to just left side of face at first (you will do the other side after you do night solution) - the day solution helps your skin look healthier and younger! - It contains botanical extracts and antioxidants to help your skin look smoother, help fight aging, and helps protect against the harmful rays of the sun with SPF 35 - the biggest difference I have seen in my skin is that it has made my skin smoother and also helped calm the redness in my cheeks! 7. Night Solution - When you use the day and night solution together its like the 24/7 SPANX for your face! - Apply on elbow or back of hand - Helps with age fighting and enhances your skins renewal process while you sleep - The little polka dots in there are vitamin capsules. When you pump it through, the capsules burst and you are putting fresh vitamins on your face! - you may compare elbows (one with night solution and one without) in mirror if you d like - Now at this point, have them hold the mirror in front of them and see if they can tell a difference in the side of the face they put the day solution on. (Most see smoothness, and LIFTED areas, especially around the mouth and eyes). - You may put the rest of the day solution on the other part of your face at this time. 8. Firming Eye Cream - apply with your ring finger to the eye area. - very important to use a dab/pat motion and be very gentle

5 - this products firms the eye area, brightens any dark circles or dark spots and moisturizes! - 3 areas that women age the fastest are eyes, necks, and backs of hands so its extremely important to moisturize these areas. - in a clinical study, 96% saw an overall improvement in their skin around their eyes and 100% saw reduction in roughness around the eyes! 9. Moisturizer - apply moisturizer all over face and if you have any extra put on your neck - go in an upward and outward motion (against gravity ) - normal to dry moisturizer has age fighting in it and hydrates for 10 + hours - combo/oily moisturizer has age fighting in it and not only hydrates for 10 + hours but also has little sponges in it that soak up any oily spots for 10 hours!!! - how does your skin feel? 10. Foundation Primer - are you ready for an amazing feeling? this product feels like whipped silk on your face! - this is the Hollywood secret everyone you see on the red carpet is all about primers including eye primer, lip primer, foundation primer because they don t want to be caught touching up their makeup! - scoop up the primer and start at the center of your face and work outward all over your face - what this does: - this is going to help your foundation glide right on and stay on like a magnet for 10+ hours! - it fills in any pores or scars so your foundation looks smooth and flawless - has spf 15 in it sun protection is always good! - How does it feel? 11. Undereye Corrector - use this under eyes to help conceal dark circles! - theres only one shade: Peach. The peach color corrects any purple or blue that we have under eyes. - use your ring finger because it applies the least amount of pressure - a LITTLE goes a long way! - dab dab dab rather than blend.

6 - we also have a great concealer that is used to cover redness and blemishes! If you are interested in that, we can talk more about it at your individual consultation. 12. Foundation (or CC cream) - who wears foundation every day? (if someone says no, ask why most people will say they can never find the right shade or feels to heavy) - many companies have their foundation as makeup but ours is formulated as our skin care! - go ahead and dot it all over your face like you have chicken pox then blend it in like a moisturizer. Even do it over your eyelids - our foundation is made as a protector. If you don t wear foundation, the junk, the dirt, the pollution is getting into your pores. So the foundation acts as a protection barrier from all that stuff getting into your pores. You ll have less pimples, less clogged pores, and less blackheads!! - its very lightweight and it evens out your skin tone perfectly - double check everyones color and ask how does your skin feel? (If using CC Cream: CC stands for Complexion Correction. This product has MULTIPLE benefits it protects with SPF15, it brightens your skin, it acts as a concealer and helps get rid of imperfections, dark circles, and shadows, it minimizes redness (great for people with rosacea), it has ingredients in it to help calm acne troubled skin, it has age fighting ingredients in it, and it hydrates for 10 hours)! 13. Mineral Powder - mineral powder will go on and set your liquid foundation and give you an extra flawless look - has oil absorbers in it to soak up any oil throughout day - DIP in foundation jar, SWIRL in lid, and TAP at an angle so foundation falls into brush. - then apply in swirl, circular motions to dust all over face - tell everyone to look around and see how flawless everyone looks! - how does your skin feel? Now that was our skin care pampering, now we are going onto our Dash out the Door Look. But I want to stress how important skin care is. Before you can put on makeup and have it look amazing, you must have skin in order!

7 Okay, now we are going to play a GAME!!! REFERRALS Make sure you are getting referrals on the back of the profile card. Say: Now I know you love the way your skin feels so the biggest compliment you can give me is referrals! That s really how I build my business. So think of someone who works way too hard and deserves a pampering, or loves makeup, needs help with makeup, just had a baby, or got a new job, or just plain deserves to treat herself! Write down her name and number and I will call or text her and let her know that I have a gift of a free facial and makeover courtesy of YOU! You may want to offer a ticket for every name she writes down so you can do a raffle at the end! START DASH OUT THE DOOR LOOK 14. Cream Eyeshadow - I use the back of a sponge tip applicator to scrape some beach blonde cream shadow out and onto tray - apply the cream shadow to your lid and you may go all the way up to your brow - this is waterproof, creaseproof and has primer ingredients so it will stay on your eyes ALL DAY! - you can add our mineral eye shadows over top of this and it will make the colors more intense and last all day as well! - it really brightens up your eyes and this shade looks good on all skin tones - what do you think of it? 15. Mascara - This is our ultimate mascara in black. Its our best seller. - it gives you volume and length. - don t pump your wand! Twist or swirl it! (by pumping, it adds air so it could dry out faster and help bacteria grow) - we have a few other kinds of mascara and I can show you them at the end during our individual consultation - note: if they need more mascara do NOT double dip: you must get a new mascara wand for sanitary reasons.

Bronzer - apply bronzer to the cheeks as cheek color. - start at the top of cheek bone and blend down cheek bone. - do not hit color on apples of cheeks first - if we do that, it draws attention to our nose, and usually that is not the most attractive thing on our face ;) - by first hitting the color up higher, it draws attention to our beautiful eyes - our bronzer (as well as our cheek colors and eye colors) have vitamins A, C, and E in them! 1 7. Lipgloss - our nourishine lipgloss is very moisturizing! - apply gloss and if you want the color to stand out more, dab it on rather than blend TABLE CLOSE Now I know we tried lots of great things today but I want to know what is your favorite and I also want you to compliment someone else at the table on what your favorite thing is about their look. So go around and say, Tell me what is your favorite product your tried?. Great! Who do you want to compliment? Show Placemat Closing Sheet Okay now I am going to show you some of our specials and deals we have going on right now. (its important to watch the How to Close video on my website for all the info on this). Okay now everyone I want you to turn over your profile card and fill out the back completely while I clean up a little bit! (I clean up and start putting things away but leave the mirrors up because they will continue to look at how awesome their skin and makeup looks) Share Opportunity with Everyone - MRS CAB Okay now I am going to share with you some quick facts and the top reasons why women start a Mary kay business. Not sure if this is something you d ever consider but have an open mind and open heart and feel free to ask me questions at the end! (its important to watch the How to Share the Opportunity at a SCC video on my website for all the info on this). After you share the information, ask: Does anyone have any questions about the career opportunity? You get an extra ticket for each question you ask!

9 Pull a ticket or 2 for winners! (common product giveaways are: eye shadows, mini hand lotions, mini glosses) INDIVIDUAL CLOSE - Okay what we are going to do last is I m going to meet with you all individually in the other room to ask you a few questions about your skin, and you may ask me questions too if you have them! Does anyone have to leave the quickest? (if someone does, meet with them first)! - meet with hostess last and the most excited person first (if someone doesn t have to leave first) - meet in a separate area away from everyone else and have them bring their profile card. Have a book, calculator, closing sheet, and sales receipt ready! - Questions to ask when you sit down with them in the separate room: o Did you have fun? o Did I teach you something? o How does your skin feel? o Do you have any questions about your skin? o Which sets did you want to treat yourself to today? Write up sales receipt. Always ask Anything else? and then close out sale and fill her order! o Book a follow up facial for 2 weeks out if they bought skin care and turn it into a guest to meeting or another party. If they didn t buy skin care ask them if they d like to host their own party! o One last question for you, would you ever consider becoming a Mary Kay beauty consultant? If yes Great! Can we order your starter kit tonight? If maybe Okay lets meet for coffee to talk more about it! How does tomorrow at pm sound? (also send her home with some info) If no that s totally ok!
