3 How To Use This Workbook Hello Radiant Rebel! We feel blessed that you have choosen us to be a part of your skin care journey, and hope that you are able to find a solution that allows your outsides to be a radiant as what s inside. Before we get down to business, there s a few things you ll want to know. Here s how to get the most out of this workbook. We ve designed this workbook to be as user friendly as we could! The Facial Routine Builder worksheet you ll find on is really the heart of this book. The other quizzes contained are there to help you fill in the blanks on the Facial Routine Worksheet. In the end you ll have created a targeted routine designed around you and your skin s needs. When you ve completed the Facial Routine Builder, head over to page 13 for a special checklist to help you determine if there are any missing pieces in your skin care puzzle. Tips 1. Breathe! Before you even start, remind yourself to relax. We know that skin care can be extremely frustrating on overwhelming. Trust the process and take a break if you need to at any point. 2. Start from the beginning! Don t jump ahead or rush the process. The more you reflect and think on your answers the more focused your routine will be. 3. Follow through! The best results will come with work and effort. There are no overnight answers (or one-size-fits-all solutions) when it comes to skin care. Once you have a routine in place, stick with it and allow it the opportunity to prove itself. 4. Be Truthful! You won t get anywhere if you ignore the facts about the condition of your skin situation. 5. Be kind! There s no one here to judge you except yourself., you may not be happy with the current state of your skin, but you re taking the steps to make a change. For example, all Batty s Bath facial scrubs are made with whipped soap, so they cleanse your skin while exfoliating. Additionally, some of our cleansers have pineapple enzymes in them which exfoliate your skin without any scrubbing action. Batty s Charcoal soap also pulls out impurities from the pores, and if lathered up on a wash cloth, is exfoliating as well. As you can see, there s a lot of options for achieving both of these key steps- often with one action! Step #4 Your Routine: Fill in the blanks To keep your skin balanced (and allowing it to naturally balance itself), there s two elements that your skin needs: oil & water. The oil element comes from moisturizing (and yes, even if you have oily skin, this isn t a step to be skipped). The water element comes from hydrating- a step that is often skipped. However, if your skin is naturally good at holding onto water, you may not need a hydrating product. But if you re currently experiencing any skin conditions, inlcuding acne, dry skin, oily skin, hyperpigmentation, pre-mature signs of aging, tightness, dull complexion, etc., it s best to add in a hydrator. Watch this video: Double Check Your Routine Has What You Need After picking your 4 key products + your target products, we need to make sure nothing was missed. Below assumes you have the 4 key products picked: Acne: Anti-bacterial= Make sure you have a product with tea tree oil, or at least lavendar oil in your routine. te: loading up on anti-bacterial ingredients won t increase their effectiveness, so every product in your routine doesn t need anti-bacterial properties. Just make sure you have at least 1. Eczema: Check battysbth.ca/eczema for your Eczema type. Rosacea: Hydration is key! Be sure components 1 6 are covered in your routine (remember, one product may cover more than one component). Grab the routine you came up with from the guided routine builder (the result you got on Page 2) and make sure your routine has a product from each category (below) worked into it.
