5 NATURAL BEES Product name: Beeswax-W/ Beeswax-Y INCI Name: CERA ALBA Beeswax is naturally secreted by working bees, and then refined by mild processes using water and filtrations only, removing impurities and pigments, reducing odor, but keeping all the benefits of a naturally occurring, sustainable and renewable material. Chemically, beeswax consists mainly of esters of fatty acids and various long-chain alcohols. Use of beeswax in personal care applications has been increasing thanks to its great emollient, soothing and structuring properties. Beeswax-W to straw colored Beeswax-Y Yellow CARNAUBA Product name: Carnauba T1/ Carnauba T3 INCI Name: COPERNICA CERIFERA CERA Carnauba, also called Brazilian wax, it s exuded by Copernicia prunifera, a plant native and grown only in the northeastern Brazilian states. It is known as "queen of waxes" and in its pure state usually comes in the form of hard yellow-brown flakes. It is obtained from the leaves of the carnauba palm by collecting and drying them, beating them to loosen the wax, then refining and bleaching it. Carnauba wax is sold in several grades depending on the purity level T1 and T3 are suitable for cosmetic applications. Purification is accomplished by filtration, centrifugation, and bleaching. Pearls INCI Name: OZOKERITE Product name: Ceresin 57 Pearls INCI Name: CERESIN Mineral waxes are a natural, bitumen coal mining by product with excellent characterized and clinically tested compounds. Mineral waxes used in cosmetics are ozokerite, wax and ceresin. Ceresin and Ozokerite Waxes are differing one from the other in melting point, chemical distribution and molecular weight. Ozokerite and Ceresin have a small crystals structure, are odorless, tasteless and flexible. They are non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-hazardous making them great for use in various personal care products. They improve oil absorption, viscosity control, cohesion, lubrication, thermal stability, emolliency and film-forming. O.Z.E. In contrast with the more familiar paraffin which contains mostly unbranched alkanes, microcrystalline wax contains a higher percentage of naphthenic and isoparaffinic (branched) hydrocarbons. It consists of high molecular weight saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is characterized by the smaller dimension of its crystals in contrast to the larger structure of paraffin. 7 SYNTHETIC Synthetic waxes are obtained by combining waxy raw materials in order to reproduce natural wax characteristics.
