5 Superior Skin Hydration Objective: To determine if using PURELL Skin Nourishing Foam results in superior skin hydration compared to other foaming hand sanitisers on the market. 5 Method: Skin hydration was measured with a Corneometer at baseline. Hand sanitiser was applied and Corneometer measurements were taken 10 minutes and 120 minutes after product application. Conclusion: The results revealed that one application of PURELL Skin Nourishing Foam resulted in statistically superior skin hydration at 10 minutes and 120 minutes compared to an untreated control and four competitive foams with moisturising claims. 6 Glove and CHG Compatibility Gloves: Following the ASTM D standard, glove samples were immersed in product for a period of 2 hours and then examined for leaks. 9 The control samples were not exposed to product. 100 control gloves and 100 gloves were tested with PURELL Skin Nourishing Foam on each of three glove types. Tested were 100 each of latex, nitrile and vinyl gloves. Results indicated that PURELL Skin Nourishing Foam does not impact the integrity of latex, nitrile or vinyl gloves. CHG: To determine if PURELL Skin Nourishing Foam impacts the efficacy of CHG-containing products, it was tested before and after using a CHG-containing product and compared to CHG when used alone. 10 Results from glove juice testing demonstrate no significant differences in efficacy when a CHG-containing product was used in conjunction with PURELL Skin Nourishing Foam.
