1 13 STEPS TO A SUCCESSFUL PARTY 1. BEFORE THE PARTY Pre-profile the guest using the Preprofile Your Guest and Coach Your Hostess document. Pack Products and Supplies needed for the party. (from your starter kit) (have them clean and ready) 2. BEFORE THE GUEST ARRIVE Arrive early to setup. (like minutes) Fill each tray with the example below Set up the table with rollup bag in the middle, party game bag, mirror and trays with profile cards, beautybook and pins next to each. (not look book) Each guest should get 3 cotton balls, a mascara wand, and a eye shadow applicator. Have color cards out for guest to choose 1 they want to try Have your basket of perfumes setup in kitchen/living room coffee table for them to shop. Coach the hostess, if you haven't already. Ask her to help by: Greeting guests and introducing them to you at the door. Assisting guests with the Satin Hands Ask the hostess, (Point one of the four-point recruiting plan) is there anyone coming today who might be interested in doing what I do? How about you? 2 3. AS GUEST ARRIVE As guest arrive introduce yourself and shake their hand. Share with them, sit wherever they would like at the table and please fill out this pink and white card (profile card). This helps me understand your skin type and things you like. As they are writing on the profile card..ask about foundation. When you wear foundation what do your prefer a little coverage or do you just do powder and go? Coverage = liquid foundation and mineral powder. Other wise just cc cream and mineral powder. However if they need coverage and really don t say...then ask them..how about we just play tonight and do both? It s light weight and you can see how both look. Great. Match her foundation then put a little in her tray. Have each guest flip the profile card over and write both liquid and mineral powder formula you match her to, so you know later. Do this as soon as you match her. After everyone s foundation is matched...i have them choose which color card they want to try. Explain the cards. They choose just 1. After everyone has foundation and color card. Collect all the ones not being used and put away. :) Ask...Have you guys tried Satin Hands? Great. Tonight you get to try the white tea & citrus. 4 6. START FACIALS Okay, are you ready to be PAMPERED???? Let s get started! Go ahead and pull your hair back with your (head band/clips). (optional) Turn to page 6&7 in your book. Share YOUR GOAL to promote yourself: how you are looking for women that love people, love our products, value our priorities of Faith first, live by the Golden Rule, will work to increase their financial situation, love to help others WIN, who are teachable/ coachable and willing to learn. Show the brochure: STARTER KIT (how to get started), CAREER PATH (how to move up), CARS (options)! These visual are great! Say: Option #2 our BEAUTY MENU and SPECIALS. Pass out the closing sheet: SHOW your ROLL UP BAG full (pockets come off, hangs, etc.) If using laminated sheets - Have guests put their name on their sheet with dry erase markers. Walk them through each set and have them HEART what they LOVE. SAY: Here are the Steals and Deals!! 8 13.CLOSING INDIVIDUAL /WITH EACH CUSTOMER: *MOST IMPORTANT!!!* Doing a STRONG Individual Close-After you complete her sales slip-then you book her party. After the table close (you have shown the roll up bag full, clean, and neat to everyone at the table with the placemat set sheet. Explain each set.) you will want to meet with every guest individually and do an individual consultation in a separate room from where the facial/ party took place. The individual consultation is extremely important and will make the difference between having a $50 class or a $500 class. At the individual consultation you should have your date book, money bag, sales tickets, hostess packets, recruiting packets and video link, calculator and a pen. Have her sit down next to you. 1. You will ask EVERY guest the following questions during her individual consultation. Make sure she brings her profile cards, Beauty book, and a placemat when she meets with you for her consultation. (Her Name), did you have a good time tonight? How does your skin feel? What part of the Miracle Set (skin care) did you like best?, of all the sets I showed and the specials I shared tonight which one did you get most excited about that you would love to take home with you tonight? Start her receipt at this point. Keep writing and suggesting naturally as you listen to her needs. Are there any individual items that you would like to add to your order? You would write up her sales ticket and collect her money. 2. So, what do you think, is there any reason why you wouldn t want to have your own get together/party from to help get $150 in FREE Mary Kay products?! Plus I think it would be a ton of fun! If she would like to have a party then then say: What works better for you the beginning of the week or the end of the week? Friday or Saturday? Monday or Thursday? 6:00 or 6:30? Always give two choices until you have narrowed down a date and time. If she says: Let me look at my calendar. Say: Ok, great. Let s see real quick though while I ve got my calendar & what dates I know I m currently available if that is ok. Ok, so what do you think might be best for you-friday or Sat? Mon or Thurs? Etc. or she might say Yeah, a Friday. Then you ll offer a Friday that you are available. Ok, so I m available Friday 7th, Friday 14th. What do you think? Do you want me to pencil it in with a? & give you time to check? Ok Great do you want to connect tomorrow or the next day and see if that day is great? Ok. Book her for what works for her, and then pull out the hostess packet and say: 2A. Hostess Program I want to show you how you can get lots of Product for free You can earn $150 in free product. Go through the Hostess Plan ($150 when you Party with Me). Explain all the $10 and $20 line items one by one. Have her write the date of her party on the pages. (You must share each item) 3., can I ask you one last question? After watching me tonight and hearing a little bit about Mary Kay could you ever in your wildest dreams see yourself doing something like Mary Kay? I think you d be great! (I was so impressed with you because ) Regardless of what she says, you say: I tell you what, this may or may not be for you, but I d love to be the one to share it with you. I would love to do a follow up facial with you and make sure everything is working well. If you choose to share it with a couple of friends, I ll come to your home or you can have it at my studio. If you choose not to have it with a couple of friends I offer second facials at my Girl s Night Out events on Thursday nights at 6:30PM. What would be better for you? This Thursday or next? The other option you could do is hold follow up facials at your home on a specific time during the month. I would suggest that you not run around the country giving second facials to one person at a time. If she says, Do I have to have a second facial?
