1 ALL INDIA HAIR & BEAUTY ASSOCIATION AIHBA India Awards (AIA) Competition Guidelines 2018 version 6.0 General Rules & Regulations 1. Penalties Infringements to competition rules and non-observation of instructions concerning the competitions will be penalized by the Committee of Wise Men, according to the penalty point chart in force. The competitors will be informed of their penalty points via the results list. The minimum base is 5 penalty points per infraction and applies for each of the 5 Wise Men, totaling 25 points. 5 penalty points for not observing the stop instruction. 2. Supports The use of any kind of support will be penalized. 3. Make-up Any inappropriate make-up in the Gents and Ladies Section may be interpreted as a recognition sign to jurors and will be penalized. 4. Clothing :Models / mannequin heads clothing must be neutral and show no signs of any kind (logos, designer names, etc.). 5. Number of registrations per competitor : Competitors can only register once per test. 6. Disqualification a) Use of mannequin heads which are not 100% human hair mannequin. b) Competitors changing assigned mirror numbers with other competitors. 7. Mannequin head presentation :During jurification, the mannequin heads can be placed on their supports fixed on the dressing tables or can be left on the tripods. The tripods can be dressed up (at the competitor s choice). It is not allowed to leave tools or other objects on the dressing tables.

3 DAY STYLE /OPEN HAIRSTYLE / LONG HAIR DOWN (Commercial) The competitors proceed on stage with their models hair straight and dry. The hair must not be prepared or curled in advance. During the passage of the Wise Men, all competitors will be asked to move away from their models and wait on the side of the competition floor. After the passage of the Wise Men who will check if the models hair is straight, the General Commissioner will call the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. 1. Hair length The hair must be shoulder length or longer. Layers are optional. The minimum layered length must be 10 cm, except in the bang area. 2. Color Hair colors must be harmoniously integrated. The jurors / Wise Men will check if this rule has been observed. Spray colors are forbidden. 3. Styling 60% of the hair must be styled down. 4. Styling Tools All styling tools are allowed, including hair pins. 5. Products All fixing products are allowed. 6. Ornaments Ornaments are forbidden. 7. Extensions Hair extensions are allowed, but must be applied prior to the test. 8. Jury The Jury will judge the general impression of the style and color. The judges must be able to see the complete hairstyle, including the top. If this is not the case, the Wise Men will put the chairs lower. 9. Time 35 minutes 10. Scores Maximum: 30 points Minimum: 25 points No electric plugs and no mirrors are available in the competitor preparation areas. Only 1 plug not exceeding 2000 W per competitor is available on the competition floor, and only 1 device can be used at a time on this plug (no multiple adapters). It is the competitors' responsibility to check the host country's voltage (220 V or 110 V) before the championship, to avoid confusion at the time of the competition.

4 GH/1 : Gents Free Fade/Pompadour Trend Cut - Mannequin head/live Model(Commercial) No competitor age indication - all ages accepted The competitors proceed to the assigned working stations. The models' hair can be dry. Products before the test are forbidden. All competitors will be asked to move away from their models and wait on the side of the red carpet. The General Commissioner will call the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. At finish, the model must be facing the mirrors straight on. If the model's head is tilted in a different direction, the Wise Men will ask the model to sit facing the mirror. 1. Length The top hair length must be 6 cm prior to the start of the competition. The hair length must be a minimum of 3 cm from the occipital area down to the neckline and over the side perimeter of the ears. If the hair length is found to be shorter than 3 cm, penalty points will be assessed. The side burns or beard can be cut in advance. 2. Color Black. Spray colors are forbidden. 3. Tools All tools are allowed. 4. Cut Free fade cut / pompadour and part are optional. 5. Styling All styling tools and products are allowed. 6. Clothes Off subject clothes will be penalized. 7. Jury The Jury will judge the general impression of the fade cut. 8. Time 35 minutes 9. 5 Bridal Hair style Mannequin/Dummy No competitor age indication - all ages accepted Fantasy hairstyles are forbidden. The hairstyle must be fashion-oriented like in bridal magazines. The competitors proceed with their mannequin heads to the assigned working stations with open straight hair, not styled in advance. The competitors will be asked to brush the hair straight back. During the passage of the Wise Men, all competitors will be asked to move away from their models and wait on the side of the competition floor. After the passage of the Wise Men who will brush all models hair, the General Commissioner will call the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. The competitors create a traditional bridal hairstyle on long hair, with a total look in mind. During the competition, the competitors may use scissors to clean up the ends. The Bridal Hairstyle must be commercial. 1. Hair length The hair must be shoulder length or longer. Layers are optional. The minimum layered length must be 10 cm, except in the bang area. 2. Color A maximum of 3 harmonious transition color shades can be used, including the base color. The colors green and blue are forbidden. Spray colors are forbidden. 3. Products All products are allowed. 4. Styling Tools All styling tools are allowed. 5. Supports The use of any kind of supports in the hairstyle is forbidden. 6. Hairpieces Hairpieces are forbidden. 7. Extensions Hair extensions are forbidden. 8. Ornaments Ornaments are allowed, but must not cover more than 20% of the head. 9.JuryThe Jury will judge the general impression of the style and color. When judging, the judges must be able to see the complete hairstyle, including the top. If this is not the case, the stewards will put the chairs lower. 10.PenaltiesCompetitors who do not observe the instructions above will be penalized according to the penalty chart enforced by the Wise Men. 11.Time : 12.Scores 30 minutes Maximum: 30 points Minimum: 25 points

6 Bridal Hair style Senior - Live Model No competitor age indication - all ages accepted Fantasy hairstyles are forbidden. The hairstyle must be fashion-oriented like in bridal magazines. 7 AIHBA Ladies Salon Cut - Mannequin head/live Model(Commercial) No competitor age indication - all ages accepted Fantasy and/or artistic hairstyles are forbidden The competitors proceed to the assigned working stations with their mannequin heads hair straight and open. The competitors will be asked to brush the hair straight back. During the passage of the Wise Men, all competitors will be asked to move away from their mannequin heads and wait on the side of the competition floor. After the passage of the Wise Men who will brush all mannequin heads hair, the General Commissioner will call the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. It is the competitor s choice to wet the hair. At finish, the haircut must be commercial and casual. If the finished style looks progressive, penalty points will be assessed by the Wise Men. 1. Cut Before the start of the test, the hair length must be a minimum of 10 cm all over the head. The hair must not be pre-cut and/or pre-styled. The hair must be cut a minimum of 5 cm during the allowed time. The Wise Men will check if the rules are respected. 2. Shaving Shaving the mannequin head scalp is forbidden. The minimum hair length must be 2 cm. 3. Cutting tools All cutting tools are allowed. 4. Color A maximum of 3 harmonious color shades can be used, including the base color. The colors green, blue, red, purple and pink are forbidden. Spray colors are forbidden. The jurors / Wise Men will check if this rule has been observed. 5. Styling tools All styling tools are allowed. 6. Products All products are allowed. 7. Ornaments Ornaments are forbidden. 8. Jury The Jury will judge the general impression of the cut, style and color. The judges must be able to see the complete hairstyle, including the top. If this is not the case, the Wise Men will put the mannequin holders lower. 9. Time 35 minutes (3 additional minutes will be granted for dressing the mannequin head after the announcement by the General Commissioner. No additional time will be given. Competitors who do not respect this rule will be penalized by 5 points). 10. Scores Maximum: 30 points No electric plugs and no mirrors are available in the competitor preparation areas. Only 1 plug not exceeding 2000 W per competitor is available on the competition floor, and only 1 device can be used at a time on this plug (no multiple adapters). 8 AIHBA Ladies Progressive Cut - Mannequin head/live Model The competitors proceed with their mannequin heads hair straight and open to the assigned working stations. The competitors will be asked to brush the hair straight back. During the passage of the Wise Men, all competitors will be asked to move away from their mannequin heads and wait on the side of the competition floor. After the passage of the Wise Men who will brush all mannequin heads hair, the General Commissioner will call the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. Cut Before the start of the test, the hair length must be a minimum of 10 cm all over the head. The hair must not be pre-cut and/or pre-styled. 9 AS/1 TRADITIONAL BRIDAL MAKEUP- Live Model Ladies - Aesthetics Individual Test - No competitor age indication - all ages accepted Models proceed to the competition floor The Bridal Make-up should be created according to the latest bridal fashion trends and be adapted to a wedding outfit. The idea of this competition is to present a beautiful bride IN TRADITIONAL OUTFIT. Bridal outfit. Indecent presentations will be penalized. A specially appointed Jury panel will judge this competition. Make up: All products can be used. Model should come to the stage free of any make up. False Eye lashes may be pre fixed. PenaltiesCompetitors who do not observe the instructions will be penalized according to the penalty chart enforced by the Wise Men. Time Scores 40 minutes Maximum: 30 points Minimum: 24 points

10 AS/2 WESTERN BRIDAL MAKEUP - Live Model(Commercial) Ladies - Aesthetics Individual Test - No competitor age indication - all ages accepted Models proceed to the competition floor The Bridal Make-up should be created according to the latest bridal fashion trends and be adapted to a wedding outfit. The idea of this competition is to present a beautiful bride IN WESTERN OUTFIT. Bridal outfit. Indecent presentations will be penalized. A specially appointed Jury panel will judge this competition. 11 AS/7 OMC Hi-Fashion BRIDAL MAKEUP - Live Model(Creative) Ladies - Aesthetics Individual Test - No competitor age indication - all ages accepted Models proceed to the competition floor The Bridal Make-up should be created according to the OMC high fashion creative bridal fashion trends and be adapted to a wedding outfit. The idea of this competition is to present a beautiful bride IN WESTERN OUTFIT. Bridal outfit. Indecent presentations will be penalized. A specially appointed Jury panel will judge this competition. Make up: All products can be used. Model should come to the stage free of any make up. False Eye lashes may be pre fixed. 12 Ladies Technical Creative Hairstyle(Mannequin) Ladies - Technical Combination Category Mannequin Head No competitor age indication - all ages accepted Wet hair. The competitors proceed with their mannequin heads to the assigned work station. Then the General Commissioner gives three (3) minutes to wet the hair (see example). If the hair is not wet enough, the Wise Men and Stewards will wet it again. 1. Styling tools All styling tools are allowed. 2. Products All products are allowed. 3. Color The use of colors is free. Spray colors are forbidden. 4. Supports The use of any kind of supports is forbidden. 5. Hair Additions Hairpieces and ornaments of all kinds are forbidden. 6. Extensions Hair extensions are forbidden. 7. Jury The Jury will judge the general impression of the style and color. When judging, the judges must be able to see the complete hairstyle, including the top. If this is not the case, the stewards will put the mannequin holders lower. 8. Penalties Competitors who do not observe the instructions will be penalized according to the penalty chart enforced by the Wise Men. 9. Time : 40 minutes (3 additional minutes will be granted for dressing the mannequin heads after the announcement by the General Commissioner. No additional time will be given. 13 AS/3 Total Fantasy Look :Hairstyle,Makeup,Nails Ladies pre-done Live Model No competitor age indication - all ages accepted The competitors create a fantasy hairstyle with complementing makeup and nails before the models proceed to the competition floor, ready to be judged. Judging will be based on the creativity of the hairstyle and the theme presented. After judging, the models will parade on the red carpet around the competition floor. One prop is allowed if it is attached to the model s body. 14 GH/3 OMC Gents Classic Open Mannequin/Live Model Competitors proceed to the assigned working stations with their mannequin heads hair prepared in advance. The competitors will be asked to brush the hair. During the passage of the Wise Men, all competitors will be asked to move away from their mannequin heads and wait on the side of the competition floor. After the passage of the Wise Men who will brush all mannequin heads hair, the General Commissioner will call the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. 1. Color Black only. Spray colors are forbidden. 2. Length Prior to the start of the competition the hair length should be at least 4 cm from the occipital area down to the nape and over the ears. The rest of the hair is left to the discretion of the competitor. 3. Shaving Shaving the mannequin head is forbidden. 4. Contours Prior to the start of the test, the Wise Men will check the mannequin heads necklines. The neck area must not have been prepared in advance. 5. Tools Clippers and thinning shears are forbidden. All other cutting tools are allowed. 6. Cut The nape must be traditionally tapered and graduated. 7. Styling All styling tools and products are allowed. The style can be with or without a part. 8. Extensions Hair extensions are forbidden. 9. Make-up Any make-up that is not considered normal by the Wise Men will be penalized. 10. Clothes Off subject clothes will be penalized. 11. Jury The Jury will judge the general impression of the cut, style and color. When judging, the judges must be able to see the complete hairstyle, including the top. If this is not the case, the stewards will put the mannequin holders lower. 12. Time : 35 minutes (3 additional minutes will be granted for dressing the mannequin head after the announcement by the General Commissioner. No additional time will be given. 15 AS/4 Ladies Nails Fashion - Commercial Look Ladies - Nails Individual Test - Female model /Natural Nail Tips(Qty 5 ) Fantasy and/or artistic nails are forbidden Models proceed to the competition floor WITH 5 NAILS PREDONE EXCEPT ANY ONE HAND OF MODEL OR 5 NATURAL NAIL TIPS Competitors have to create commercial and customer friendly look with existing nail materials and techniques. Judging will be based on the creative concept and artistic quality of the finished result. The competition is open to all professional nail artists. A specially appointed Jury panel will judge this competition. General Instructions 1.Length : Minimum : 2cm 2.Nails Extension : Predone acrylic or gel extension allowed. NATURAL COLOR ONLY. Word of caution : Full Nail tip used on Models should be of only Natural color 3.Theme : ANY. Should not be avant garde category 4. Technique : ALL allowed. Sticker Nail Art is forbidden 5. Tools & Equipments : All tools and equipments are allowed. 6. Power Plug : Each contestant will be given 1 power plug at their station. 7.Product : All products are allowed. The costume must not cover the hands. Judging: Originality, innovation, artistic creativity, total look Penalties :Competitors who do not observe the instructions will be penalized Time: 45 minutes Scores Maximum: 30 points Minimum: 24 points

16 AS/5 Nails Fantasy Box/Live Model Predone The competitors proceed with their boxes/live Model to the competition floor with work pre-done, ready to be judged. The Wise Men will direct the competitors to the proper judging area. The competitors will place their boxes or models and give them the finishing touch during the 3 minutes allowed time, after the General Commissioner has given the starting time. General Instructions 1)Nail Tips: Presented in box with transparent top or any colored tray or on live model hands. Caution : Wardrobe should not cover nails 2) Box/Tray designing :can be decorated according to the theme with professional materials ( 20% ) 3) Nail Size : Minimum 6 cm 4 ) Theme: Avant Garde. Competitors have to create an extravagant, creative nail design using new nail materials and techniques. 5) Quantity : The work consists of 5 different tips & size of natural nails (the tips must be square-shaped). 6) Techniques : ALL techniques are allowed. Stencils are forbidden 7) Product : All professional products are allowed 8) Tools and Equipment's: All professional toold and equipments are allowed except stencils. No props of any kind will be allowed on stage. 9)Judging Originality, innovation, artistic creativity, total look 10) Penalties Competitors who do not observe the instructions will be penalized according to the penalty chart enforced by the Wise Men. Time: 3 minutes for the placement of the box Scores : Maximum: 30 points Minimum: 21 points

17 AS/5 AIHBA Body Painting Aesthetics INDIVIDUAL MALE model pre-done The competitors proceed with their models to the competition floor with work pre-done, ready to be judged. The Wise Men will direct the models to the proper judging area. The competitors will place their models and give them the finishing touch if needed during the 3 minutes allowed time, after the General Commissioner has given the starting time. No props of any kind will be allowed on stage. Models must wear boxer brief. 1. The test has to be performed by a make-up artist creating a Body Painting before arriving on the competition floor. 2. The choice of the subject is left to the creativity of the competitors. 3. Models and their make-up artists/hairdressers proceed to the competition floor. They will be given 3 minutes to position their models on the chairs facing the dressing tables and give the last final touch before being judged. 4. Ornaments Ornaments are allowed. 5. Judging The Jury will take into account the total look of the theme, originality, artistic creativity and technical skills. A supranational Jury panel will judge this competition. 6. Penalties Competitors who do not observe the instructions will be penalized according to the penalty chart enforced by the Wise Men. 7. Time on floor 3 minutes 8. Scores Maximum: 30 points Minimum: 24 points

18 AS/6AIHBA Mehndi Artistry(AMA) Aesthetics INDIVIDUAL/Team The competitors proceed with their models to the competition floor. The Wise Men will direct the models to the proper judging area. The competitors will place their models after the General Commissioner has given the starting time. No props of any kind will be allowed on stage. 1. The test has to be performed by a mehndi-up artist creating a Mehndi design after arriving on the competition floor on ONE HAND of the model. 2. Design/Theme: The choice of the designof mehndi is left to the creativity of the competitors. 3. Product : All Products are allowed. 4. Ornaments Ornaments are allowed. 5. Judging The Jury will take into account the total look of the theme, originality, artistic creativity and technical skills. A supranational Jury panel will judge this competition. 6. Penalties Competitors who do not observe the instructions will be penalized according to the penalty chart enforced by the Wise Men. 7. Time on floor 30 minutes 8. Scores Maximum: 30 points Minimum: 24 points

19 GH/4Gents Hair Sculpture Tattoo Open Mannequin/Live Model The competitors proceed to the assigned working stations with their mannequin heads hair prepared but not styled in advance. The competitors will be asked to brush the hair straight back. During the passage of the Wise Men, all competitors will be asked to move away from their mannequin heads and wait on the side of the competition floor. After the passage of the Wise Men who will brush all mannequin heads hair, the General Commissioner will call the competitors back to their mirrors and start the competition. It is the competitor s choice to wet the hair. The hairstyle must be done within the allocated time. 1. Color : The use of colors is free. Spray colors are forbidden. 2. Length : Prior to the start of the competition the hair length should be at least 3 cm from the occipital area down to the nape and over the ears. The rest of the hair is left to the discretion of the competitor. 3. Contours: Prior to the start of the test, the Wise Men will check the mannequin heads necklines. The neck area must not have been prepared in advance. 4. Tools : All cutting tools are allowed. 5.Design Hair Tattoo : Based on originality, creativity and innovation judging will be done. 6. Styling All styling tools and products are allowed. The style can be with or without a part. 7. Extensions Hair extensions are forbidden. 8. Make up Any make-up that is not considered normal by the Wise Men will be penalized. 9. Health & Safety : All designs close to scalp should adhere to health & safety of the model. Shaving Gel/Foam/Cream should be used while creating tattoo. In Case client bleeds, the competitor is penalized. 10. Jury The Jury will judge the general impression of the cut, style and color. When judging, the judges must be able to see the complete hairstyle, including the top. If this is not the case, the stewards will put the mannequin holders lower. 11. Penalties Competitors who do not observe the instructions above will be penalized according to the penalty chart enforced by the Wise Men. 12. Time : 40 minutes (3 additional minutes will be granted for dressing the mannequin head after the announcement by the General Commissioner. No additional time will be given. Competitors who do not respect this rule will be penalized by 3 points.). 13. 20 AS/6AIHBA Fashion Mehndi Artistry(FMA) Aesthetics INDIVIDUAL/Team The competitors proceed with their models to the competition floor. The Wise Men will direct the models to the proper judging area. The competitors will place their models after the General Commissioner has given the starting time. No props of any kind will be allowed on stage. 1. The test has to be performed by a mehndi-up artist creating a Mehndi design after arriving on the competition floor on ONE HAND of the model inclusive of palm & 3 inch into forearm(3 inch from wrist). 2. Design/Theme: The choice of the design of mehndi is left to the creativity of the competitors. 3. Product : All Products are allowed including gels, glitters, spray 4. Ornaments Ornaments are not allowed. 5. Judging The Jury will take into account the total look of the theme, originality, artistic creativity and technical skills. No props of any kind will be allowed on stage. The Stage Make-up should be created according to the latest fashion trends and express an original idea. The idea of this competition is to present a model showing a beautiful make-up with the most innovative techniques and up-to-date make-up color shades.
