2 About Epionce How Epionce Works: Three Powerful Ingredient Technologies Epionce formulas are botanically based and optimized to improve skin function by reducing inflammatory factors while improving barrier strength. It's not enough to simply ask about "active" ingredients., when mixed into a cosmetic formulation, must remain stable in order to maintain their activity within the skin. It is essential for effective products to contain a delivery system to drive ingredients through the stratum corneum. Epionce delivers functional benefits to allow the skin to restore itself while strengthening the protective barrier and reversing and preventing the action of destructive inflammatory factors in the skin. Epionce skin penetration is shown at right, in green. This image illustrates Eucerin, a common drugstore moisturizer. It is doing what it is supposed to do: stay on the outer layers of the skin to make the skin feel better but the product does not go any further than the outer layers of the stratum corneum. This image illustrates Epionce Renewal formula at work. It has penetrated all the way through the epidermis, incorporated into the lipid lamellae granules and helps to form the stratum granulosum. It is suggested to modify Lytic product and/or decrease Renewal Facial product (e.g. from Renewal Facial Cream to Renewal Facial Lotion or Renewal Lite Facial Lotion) during more humid seasons and/or climates. Oily skin types may find that Epionce sunscreen applied after Lytic in the morning provides more than adequate moisture for daytime, and may use Renewals only in the evening instead of twice daily. The Intense Defense Serum can be added to any of the regimens. Simply apply immediately before Renewal Facial product for skin type. Advanced Epionce Regimens Basic suggested regimens are a recommendation only, and may need to be adjusted based on factors including skin care goals, skin type, age, sensitivity, climate and daily activities.
