2 Hair & Beauty We educate and train our students to the highest standards and it is important we focus on their needs. As a result of this we need to operate in a different way from a high street salon. This is reflected in our prices. All our services and treatments are carried out by students, under the supervision of highly qualified staff. Treatments and services may take longer than in a normal salon, as students on occasion need support and guidance from their tutors. We endeavour to maintain professionalism at all times and to deliver a high level of customer service. Provision of some services and treatments will be at the tutor s discretion. To ensure fair access to assessment opportunities, equal opportunities for all students and a diverse range of clients, it is not possible for clients to request a specific student to work on them. All clients need to report to the reception area prior to treatments. A skin test is required prior to colour application, for both Hair & Beauty. Please ask at reception for details. Hairdressing Skin Test Information As a duty of care to our clients, it is necessary to skin test 48hrs before a colour application once in any accademic year. Beauty Skin Test Information As a duty of care it is necessary to skin test 24hrs before an eyelash/brow tint treatment. You are also required to have an annual skin test for false lashes (glue) and for tanning treatments. If you have a reaction you must notify the reception immediately. If it becomes very uncomfortable you must seek medical advice. A reaction can be identified by redness, the skin can become swollen, itchy and you may get a headache. If you experience any of these symptoms, you must not have the colour applied. This is a precautionary test that we do to safeguard our clients and although this test has been carried out there is no guarantee that a reaction may not occur as a result of a colouring. You must be 16 or over to have a colour application

3 Body Therapy Full Body Therapy 12 Swedish Massage A relaxing massage using firm but gentle Swedish massage techniques, which may alleviate stress and tension from the body, leaving you refreshed and vitalised. Aromatherapy Massage A luxurious body massage using personalised soothing aromatic oil blends to restore and revitalise the mind, body & soul. Hot/Cold Stones Massage The body is massaged using heated/chilled stones. Tension points are massaged promoting a sense of well-being and relaxation. G5 Full Body Massage Incorporated in the full body massage, this is a widely used mechanical method which produces a deeper massage to help break down tension nodules and improve circulation. Indian Head Massage 5.00 This ancient form of massage, performed whilst seated, uses firm yet gentle massage movements to unblock tension in the neck and shoulders. Any of the following treatments are incorporated with the Part Body Therapy: Part Body Therapy 7.50 Infra Red Relieves muscular aches and pains, has a warming effect on the tissues. Audio Sonic Audio Sonic is used to treat muscular tension and contracted muscles, assists with the breakdown of nodules to ease pain. Faradism Helps to strengthen and tone muscles to improve body contours. Galvanism Helps reduce the appearance of cellulite. Vacuum Suction Helps to improve the body s lymphatic drainage, and can aid detoxification. A diet and exercise routine must be maintained to gain the full benefit of the treatments.

4 Micro-Dermabrasion Controlled Micro Dermabrasion is a modern technique designed, with the help of a gentle mechanical peeling process, to improve the skin s regenerative capabilities and to better control specific skin conditions. It has been used for over 20 years for the treatment of skin problems such as scar tissue, pigmentation abnormalities and acne. Facial Treatment 15 Body Treatment 10 Facials Basic Facial 3 A consultation will be given before treatment to establish your skin type and ensure correct products are used for your treatment: cleanse, exfoliation, toner and moisturise. Prescriptive Facial 10 A consultation will be given before treatment to establish your skin type and ensure correct products are used for your treatment: cleanse exfoliation, masque, toner and moisturise. This treatment also includes a face, neck and shoulder massage. Electrical Facial 12 A consultation will be given before treatment to establish your skin type to allow for the correct electrical facial to be carried out. Cleanse & Make- Over 3 A consultation will be done before treatment to determine occasion and colour choices. Treatment includes cleanse, tone and moisturise before application of make-up. 5 Hands & Feet Basic Manicure (30 minutes) 2 Includes shaping, soaking the cuticles and a hand and arm massage, finishing with application of nail polish. Luxury Manicure 7 Includes shaping, cuticle work, and a hand treatment, as recommended by your therapist. Hand and arm massage, completed with the application of nail polish. Basic Pedicure (30 minutes) 3 Includes shaping, soaking the feet, foot massage and application of nail polish. Luxury Pedicure 9 Includes shaping, soak, cuticle work, a foot treatment as recommended by your therapist, foot massage, completed with the application of nail polish. Luxury Manicure & Pedicure 14 Acrylic/Gel Nails Application of a full set of acrylic nails or nail overlays takes approx. 2-3 hours to complete. The finish can be left natural or polished with nail enamel. Acrylics need to be maintained once a month. Hairdressing levels 1st Year VRQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing These students are working towards a qualification which prepares them for work in the hairdressing industry. 2nd Year - NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing These students have achieved the VRQ Diploma in Hairdressing and are working towards a qualification which will enable them to be ready for work in the hairdressing industry. 3rd Year - NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing (available Mondays Only) These students are apprentices that are currently working in industry and have achieved the NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing: They are specialising in colour work, colour correction, advanced cuts & styling.
