2 Hair Extension Care Guide Items you will need to care for your hair extensions: - Loop brush (available for sale at the salon for $20) - Argon or Moroccan Oil - Sulfate Free Shampoo - Deep conditioner or mask - Thermal protectant 1. Brush gently working from ends toward scalp before and after washing. 2. Use a gentle moisturizing SULFATE FREE shampoo for dry-color treated hair. 3. NEVER USE A VOLUMIZING SHAMPOO! Volumizing shampoos raise the cuticle of hair and can cause tangling. 8. If extensions become dry and damaged treat once to twice a week with a deep conditioner, blow dry hair, follow by smoothing with a flat iron or curling iron to seal the cuticle. 9. NEVER dye the extensions this will compromise the quality and dry out the hair. 10. Brush gently with one of the following: - Wide tooth comb - Loop Brush 11. Brush 2-3 times a day. Brushing right up to the scalp will keep tangles from forming at the base of the extension. Use oil 2-3 times a day if needed. 4. Wash gently in cool to warm water. Do no scrub roughly while washing. Gently comb through with fingers in a downward motion while washing and rinsing. Only wash in the shower never over the sink. Never use a shower cap. 5. Do not apply conditioner to scalp or bonds. Too much conditioner or very oily hair can weaken the keratin bonds. 12. When blow-drying hair, blow downward with hair, not up into / against hair flow. Dry with fingers then style with a curling iron or flat iron if needed. It is stressful to the hair to do a lot of brushing while blow-drying, causing extension loss. Do not blow dry near the bonds! When straightening be very cautious of straightening over the bond. Heat will make the bonds soft and you may experience strand loss or tangling. 6. It's best not to wash more than 3 times a week unless you have a very oily scalp. Over washing will dry the hair. Always make sure bonds/scalp are DRY. 13. Swimming - Always wet hair with tap water, apply conditioner and braid hair before swimming to help avoid tangling. Avoid salt water, (it s very drying), and chlorine. After swimming wash hair and use a deep conditioner. 7. Braid or tie back the extensions before bed to prevent tangling. 15. NEVER GO TO BED WITH WET HAIR.

3 FAQ s What are hot fusion hair extensions? Hot fusion hair extensions are a strand by strand method where the top of the extension is pretipped with keratin protein. This method can last up to 6 months with proper care. A touch up is recommended at the week mark. Will this method cause damage to my natural hair? We are very picky with our clients for this reason. Hair extensions are a big commitment and it takes work to ensure they look presentable and do not cause damage. Clients must follow the care guide at all times and have the extensions removed by one of our technicians to minimize any damage. The extensions should not, under any circumstance, be removed by yourself or by someone who is not trained to do so. How long can my extensions be? When it comes to length, keep in mind: the shorter your hair and the longer you go, the faker it will look. We are very serious when it comes to making extensions look real and undetectable. For this reason, we determine what length would best suit you, your life style and your current hair instead of allowing you to pay more money for a longer length which may look very fake. Can I wear my hair up? Yes, you will be able to wear your hair up without any of the bonds showing. Is this human hair? Can I curl and straighten the extensions? Yes, we only offer 100% human remy hair at our salon meaning you can apply heat to the extensions as desired. Can I dye my extensions and/or touch up my roots? Although it is 100% human hair, it is not recommended to dye the extensions contrary to what you may find by searching on Google or asking other salons. Our hair is cuticle corrected (remy processed) when you dye the hair extensions the chemicals in the dye with counteract with the remy processing and cause dead ends/tangling/dryness. With over 260 colors available, we can guarantee a close if not exact match! You can touch up your roots you only touch up the crown (the hair that s left out) and the perimeter....continued

4 Am I a good candidate for hair extensions? It is not recommended to have permanent extensions if you are pregnant, 6 months after giving birth, you are suffering from hair loss or you are receiving chemotherapy. Some medications also affect the scalp and hair. We must be informed of any of the above during the consultation. What preparation is needed? You should dye your hair at least a week before fitting to the colour(s) you wish extensions to be. If you have a blunt or bold cut it is recommended getting it softened/thinned out and having soft layers incorporated to help the extensions look the most natural. Can I re-use the hair? We do not recommend reusing the hair after having it installed. From previous client experience, those who reuse the hair for a second set have only lasted 3-7 weeks before experiencing severe dryness and matting at the roots. We care about our reputation and your hair so we will not re-install hair to prevent future issues that are likely to occur. Should I be worried about breakage? We recommend following the care guide at all times to prevent damage. It is worth noting that the average person sheds between strands of hair per day which means these shed hairs will not be able to release as they are inside the bonds. If you see hair in the bonds with white tips this is not breakage. It is simply hair that would have naturally shed in the shower/on your pillow/etc that is trapped in the hair extension. The white bulb at the top of the hair is confirmation that it is shed hair and not breakage. What should I do prior to the installation? Do not wash your hair the day of the installation. It is recommended to wash your hair 24 hours before your installation. Please do not use any product in your hair and it is recommended to arrive with your hair straightened. How are the extensions removed? We are one of only a few salons in Canada to use an all-natural chemical free 100% safe remover to ensure no damage is caused to the natural hair during remover. We believe in quality which means we have a zero tolerance for acetone-removals. Each strand is removed one by one and the shed hair is gently brushed out. Proper removal generally takes 2-3 hours.

No-Show appointments will be subject to a $35 fee. We require a $200 deposit for all full-head hair extension applications. This deposit will come off your total for your hair extensions. (example: total is $529, with $200 deposit, you will owe $329 once your appointment has been concluded). We do not offer refunds on hair or services, however we will do what it takes to make you happy during the warranty period. I understand that Chanti Extensions will not be responsible or liable for the condition of my extensions or the effect they have on my natural hair if they are altered in any way. This includes dying the extensions, having another stylist cut the extensions or having another person or myself remove the extensions. I understand I have a 7 day guarantee in which Chanti Extensions will adjust, fix or remove the hair extensions at no charge. I understand I have a 10 day free strand replacement guarantee in which Chanti Extensions will replace any strands that have been lost at no charge. I have an option of booking a maintenance check at no cost within 2 weeks of my appointment. I understand that Chanti Extensions is not liable for the hair extensions nor the effect they have on my natural hair after my guarantee expires. I understand Chanti Extensions requires 24 hours notice if my appointment needs to be rescheduled. My deposit is non-refundable once the order for my hair is placed.
