All classes are also offered as continuing education for beauty professionals. These courses have been developed to build upon one another, so that students will benefit from the combined materials and the progressive nature of the curriculum. MUD has created groups of classes to illustrate possible combinations. These groups are designed to provide comprehensive training in various aspects of make-up artistry. MUD standardized curricula gives you the option to take courses at various locations throughout the country.

LEVEL I MAKE-UP ARTIST All students completing this course will receive a Level I Make-up Artist Certificate. Beauty Essentials was written as an introduction to beauty make-up.

In this intensive 84-hour course, students learn how to apply beauty make-up and the theory behind it. The product works extremely well because it provides coverage and can be applied very sheer or heavier if needed without ever looking heavy. CONTOUR AND HIGHLIGHT Highlight and shadow is the foundation of all make-up regardless of what we are using make-up for and in this workshop we will explain how to properly contour the face to create a corrected look that is both aesthetically pleasing and subtle. The process of highlighting and shading with cream and powder products that are blended properly is the key to properly accentuating and defining the face.

PERFECT POUT Learn to apply the perfect lip, whether you want a subtle pout or a bold statement the techniques we will be discussing will enable you to create just about any look.

DAY TO NIGHT Make-up is viewed differently between everyday wear and an evening out, thus it should be applied differently. Quite simply, make-up viewed at night needs to be applied more dramatically for it to be seen in a lower light situation. In this workshop we will show how to create a simple yet beautiful every day look and then transform it into an evening look with our focus on using simple techniques to make the quick transition.
