The Beef Expo has enjoyed sales of more than $1 million for six years in a row. It s a proud annual tradition in the leading beef cattle state east of the Mississippi River. And it takes place in one of the leading venues of its kind in the nation, the Kentucky Exposition Center, with 1.2 million square feet of enclosed, climate-controlled exhibition space. Kentucky Department of Agriculture staff will be on hand to check the health papers of every animal that enters the fairgrounds and help run the shows and sales. If I or any of my staff can help you with anything, please don t hesitate to ask. While you are in Louisville, we hope you ll take the time to dine in some of the dozens fo restaurants that serve Kentucky Proud foods - delicious local foods grown, raised, processed and/or manufactured in the Commonwealth. Kentucky Proud is one of the leading state fair marketing programs in the country and a major driver of Lousiville s nationally acclaimed local food scene. Again, welcome, and best wishes on an enjoyable and successful Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo. Sincerely, RYAN QUARLES Commissioner of Agriculture Commonwealth of Kentucky Fax ryan.quarles@ky.gov Welcome to the 2019 Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo It s a pleasure to welcome each of you to the 2019 Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo, an event that showcases some of the best cattle in the country, and something we are proud to be involved with for so many years as corporate sponsor. For 100 years, Kentucky Farm Bureau has served as the Voice of Kentucky Agriculture. A big part of our ag economy is related to our cattle industry and as we celebrate our Centennial this year, we continue to recognize the importance this sector plays in the overall tapestry of our agricultural landscape. Kentucky s beef cattle industry has grown so much over the past two decades to the point of national prominence as the top beef cattle producing state east of the Mississippi and the eighth top state in the country. But more than just cattle numbers, the industry is such an important sector in Kentucky s overall agricultural economy. With total farm gate receipts expected to hit the $5.7 billion mark in 2018, the state s cattle industry represents about 13 percent of that total. For those of you who have been to the Expo before, I don t have to tell you what an experience this is. For those of you coming for the first time, I hope you find the experience invaluable whether you are showing, selling or buying. The Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo has become one of the premiere events of its kind in this area and we are glad you are a part of it. Sincerely, Mark Haney, President Kentucky Farm Bureau Fax kyfb.com 1

No doubt he is one of the best we have ever raised and produced at Popplewell Farms. It is with much thought and consideration that we have decided to offer the chance for someone else to purchase him and use for service in their own operation. At the same time, we still wish to retain some interest in him as well. Terms and conditions will be available day of sale. Please call us for any additional information prior to the sale.
