1 2018 Artist application form + Terms & Conditions Annual event, Sculpture in the Paddock has moved location and will be held at Shaw Vineyard Estate, Murrumbateman. 22nd September 7 October Key Information Participation is by application only. Applications close on 4 th May Successful exhibitors will be notified by 8 June. It is preferred that all works be for sale. Application fee of $30 is payable with your submission, $15 for subsequent entries. A photograph of your entry must be provided with your application. Previously exhibited works will be considered Site meetings will be by appointment with the Site Manager. Outdoor exhibiting artists may also display / have for sale one smaller indoor piece of work. 4 TERMS & CONDITIONS SITE SELECTION AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Successful exhibitors will be notified by 8 June Site selection will be at the discretion of the curators. Site visits available by appointment. TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE SITE Artists are responsible for the transportation of their sculptures to and from the exhibition site and for arranging the removal of all packaging materials from the site. INSTALLATION, REMOVAL AND MAINTENANCE Installation will take place from September. The artist is responsible for installing and removing the sculpture including providing any required tools. A crane is available to assist artists with installation at the site but must be booked through the Site Manager. The Site Manager can provide advice on the most appropriate means of installation and the best access to the site from the nearest drop off point. Any additional assistance must be discussed and arranged with the Site Manager. A site crew may be available to help coordinate the installation on request. It is a condition of exhibiting that all selected artists provide a written statement on how they propose to install and remove their sculptures, together with a list of all vehicles and heavy equipment they propose to bring or require on the site. It is a condition of exhibiting that artists comply with the agreed means of installation. Works deemed unsafe or which do not match the Curatorial Panel s expectations of the artist s proposal may be excluded from the exhibition. Artists agree that their sculptures will not affect the environment in any lasting way eg. trees cannot be cut back. All sites must be returned to their original condition by each exhibiting artist. The exhibition does not have the capacity to store crates, packaging and similar items. The artist is responsible for removing all such items from the exhibition site. De-installation will commence at 4:00pm on Sunday 8 October and all sculptures are to be removed by the exhibiting artist by 5pm on Wednesday 11 October unless otherwise agreed by the Site Manager. For the purpose of managing sales and site safety, all participating artists must provide a daytime contact number or mobile phone number during the exhibition. INSURANCE The exhibition has public liability insurance from 21 st September 7th October Outside the designated period all risk remains with the artist. By signing the Terms & Conditions form artists authorise the exhibition staff to move their sculpture or remove it from the site for any reason, including but not limited to public safety, damage or potential damage to the sculpture. Over the period of the exhibition daytime Site Crew will patrol the exhibition site. The property will be locked outside of exhibition hours. Sculpture in the Paddock 2018 Page 4

5 EXHIBITION SALES All works in the exhibition are to be available for sale in Australian dollars at the amount nominated by the artist, on the following terms: 1. The artist must take full responsibility for ensuring their work is in a condition ready for delivery to the buyer for permanent installation. If Sculpture in the Paddock Inc is required to do any remedial work on the sculpture prior to delivery to the buyer, the artist will be invoiced at cost by Sculpture in the Paddock. 2. The artist is responsible for negotiating the installation of artworks with the purchaser of an artwork. 3. Sculpture in the Paddock Inc will take a commission on any sale made during this exhibition. A commission of 25% will be taken. 4. Payments to artists for the sales of their work will be made within 4 weeks after the close of the exhibition, provided full payment has been received from the buyer, and after any relevant site, customs duty or transport costs have been deducted. ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS It is a fundamental term of exhibiting that you adhere to the following terms. 1. Artists agree that their sculptures will not affect the environment in any lasting way e.g. trees cannot be cut back. 2. All directions/requests from and the exhibition staff must be complied with. 3. Artists and their sponsors are entitled to use images taken at the exhibition, but must credit Sculpture in the Paddock, including commercial websites. 4. Artists sponsors are not to host functions on the exhibition site or issue press releases without the consent of Sculpture in the Paddock Inc. 5. Either the artist or Sculpture in the Paddock Inc shall have the right to use or authorise the use of images of the sculpture taken at the exhibition, but must credit the other. 6. Sculpture in the Paddokc Inc has the right to reproduce images of the sculpture to be exhibited provided by the artist and any images of the work in the exhibition for the exhibition catalogue, publicity, advertising or archival purposes in any manner connected with the exhibition or its sponsors, including future articles/publications about Sculpture in the Paddock Inc. 7. Artists are not permitted to have commercial logos or websites on their works.
