3 3 Enjoying the Sunshine We love our time in the sunshine. This month we visited the Windhover, Brampton Halt,Wyevale garden centre, Abington park and enjoyed time in our gardens.
4 4 American BBQ Residents, visitors and staff enjoyed burgers, hot dogs and S mores while they listened to a live Country Western band in July.
5 5 Featured Wishing Well Here is a magic moment captured of Ann making crafts. Ann s wish is to create new things. She supports all of the Recreation and Activities events but especially loves craft sessions. Also pictured is Betty s wish of seeing a cat being granted. Oomph! Spotlight This month s theme is summer festivities! Please let us know if you have any songs that make you think of summertime for our next session. Join us on any of the many sessions throughout the building as listed on your programme. Weekly sessions are held in the Meadows Lounge every Thursday at 11am and in the Signal Walk Lounge every Tuesday at 11am. Multiple sessions are scheduled for Valley Mews throughout the week.
6 6 Poem of the Month Margate, Summer 1927 As a child, I used to play Upon the beach all through the day. Sandcastles built by the score, Flags flying aft and fore. Around it all a moat would run Until it ran dry oh, what fun! Dad with trousers rolled up high But Mum must keep her bloomers dry. Sandwiches all taste of sand. Hark! The ice cream man, Ain't life grand!! Win Ashton
