Our Twilight Market Night has been a tradition at Yarra Road Primary School for many years and is thoroughly enjoyed by not only the school community but also the wider local community. Preparations have been well and truly underway for our biggest fundraising event of the year since the beginning of Term 1. As it draws closer, with just a month till our much anticipated event, the excitement is building. This year we are hoping to make it bigger and better and in order to do that we have introduced a few new exciting things. Keep reading to find out what they are and keep an eye out for the volunteer roster at the back that needs to be returned to school as soon as possible so we can finalise the running of the night. 4 We are now collecting our ever popular Tomboola Jars. Use your imagination and fill it with INTERESTING & DIFFERENT items. Some examples could include hair ties/hair clips TOMBOOLA Marbles Stationary Ooshies JARS Once again we will be holding our popular cake stall. Closer to the date we will be sending home plates for you to return Matchbox Cars your wonderful baked goods on for us to sell on the day. YRPS PLANT STALL We are very excited this year to be holding our very own plant stall. This stall will be sponsored by Croydon Men s Shed who will be building some beautiful plantar boxes for us to plant and sell succulents. It will also be stocked with fabulous items from our very own Environmental Club. We are planning on having a potting day on Monday 6th November anyone interested in helping out please stay posted for more information in the next week or so. WHITE ELEPHANT STALL It s time to start your spring clean. Clear out your cupboards, sort through your bookcase, cull your toy boxes because we want any items you no longer want to sell at our Junior School Council WHITE ELEPHANT STALL. COMMUNITY GROUPS CHOCOLATE TOSS Yarra Road Primary is proud to support and showcase the following local community groups and services - Wonga Park CFA - Maroondah SES - 1st Croydon SCOUTS - Ruccis Circus We are also collecting blocks of chocolate for our ever popular CHOCOLATE TOSS. - Men s Shed Croydon Please start bringing these in to the office.
