DIRECTIONS From the NYS Thruway (I-90), take Exit 42. Turn right onto Route 14 South and drive approximately 6 miles. Once in town, turn left onto Castle Street. Cross over Routes 5 & 20 to Ramada. From Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC): Go East on Airport Road. Take Brooks Ave/NY-204. Turn right at the light on Brooks Ave to get to the entrance ramps of I-390S. Merge onto I-390S. Keep right onto I-390S towards I-90/Corning. Merge onto I-90 E/New York State Thrwy E via Exit 12B towards Albany. (I-90), take Exit 42. Turn right onto Route 14 South and drive approximately 6 miles. Once in town, turn left onto Castle Street. Cross over Routes 5 & 20 to Ramada. From the South Take NY14N/County Rd-64 Exit, Exit 52A, towards Watkins Glen. Turn left onto County Hwy-64/County Rt. 64. Turn slight right onto Westinghouse Rd/ NY14. Turn left onto Watkins Rd/NY-14, Continue to follow NY-14. Turn left onto cloverleaf Dr/NY 14 Trk. Turn right onto US-20 E/NY-5/NY-14 Trk Hamilton St. Continue to follow US-20 E/NY-5/NY-14 Trk to Ramada. If you are planning on flying to convention, the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) is the nearest airport. There is NO Airport Shuttle to/from the hotel. However, if you would like to be picked up from the airport, we will be arranging a shuttle once daily on Thursday, Friday & Sunday. Please indicate your need for a shuttle on your registration form. If you d like to stay a few days before or after with your group, car rentals are available.

5 PRE-CONVENTION REGISTRATION The registration fee is $40.00 for members and $45.00 for non-members This fee is nonrefundable (NYSOMOTC By-Laws). After reading this mailing, please complete the Registration Form. PLEASE print clearly. We request that the State Representative for each club collect all the forms, review them for accuracy and send one club check to cover all fees. Make checks or money orders payable to: GRMOTC State Meeting Fund Mail forms and check to: Renie Cutt, 155 Versailles Road, Rochester, NY All registrations must be postmarked on or before March 1, Registrations postmarked after that date are subject to a late fee of $10 Anyone attending and/or working the NYSOMOTC Convention must be registered. No refunds on activities will be given after March 15, 2017 If you would like to make a donation to the Marie Simmons Scholarship Fund, please issue a separate personal check or money order payable to the Marie Simmons Scholarship Fund, with your registration. If donation is in memory of, please indicate name of person to be memorialized. 6 CHINESE AUCTION AND RAFFLES Sampson Room Friday, April 28, :00 am - 6:00 pm Each club is asked to donate an item or collection of items to the State fundraiser. This year's theme is BEACH MEMORIES. If you didn t already pick your basket at the Mid Term Board Meeting, you can sign up for a basket by contacting Sharon Wetzel at sharkayw@yahoo.com. The value of the item or basket should be at least $ Please drop off your donation as soon as you arrive on Thursday or Friday morning by 10:00 am. In this room you will also be able to purchase tickets for raffle items offered by the hosting club, which helps to cover the cost of convention. There will also be raffles for the Marie Simmons Scholarship and 2018 State Meeting fundraiser. After the Saturday General Meeting, the winning numbers will be posted and the prizes can be picked up in the Sampson Room. DOOR SIGN CONTEST Come walk along the lake where sunsets and smiles are always within reach! This year s door sign theme is: FLIP FLOP DOWN MEMORY LANE Let s take ourselves to a happy memory. Help us make Rochester s Flip Flop to the Lake a weekend to remember! Prizes will be awarded for: Best Overall, Funniest, Most Creative and People s choice RULES The board will be provided at registration (Limited supplies will be available in the Hospitality Room) Use only a wreath hanger for displaying your sign You may not cover the room number or peep hole All entries must be on display by 5:30 p.m. on Friday April 28, Judging will be on Friday between 6-7pm. Monday thru Friday - The Pier House Restaurant is open for a FREE Continental Breakfast MOMS' INFORMATION CENTER Sampson Room Friday, April 24, :00am - 6:00pm Each Executive Board Member (Chairwomen and Officers) is asked to create a display for the MOM's information center. This room is where our members can learn what goes on in the State Organization. Be creative; make it interesting to grab their attention. Local Clubs are invited to create a display showcasing their activities. One tri-fold display and your creativity could mean educating someone else. Please put visiting this information center on your convention agenda. On display will be the entries for the Club Scrapbook Contest along with the entries for the Newsletter Contest, previous State Meetings photo albums, the Twin Registry photo album, the Unity Book and other items of interest. FRIDAY EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING Lakeview Ballroom Friday, April 28, :30 am - 12:00 pm Before the meeting, stop by the Pier House Restaurant for a FREE Continental Breakfast! The Board Meeting will begin promptly at 8:30 am. Attendance is required of all board Members. 8 FIRST TIME ATTENDEES Lobby Lounge Friday, April 28, :00 pm - 1:30 pm Meet in the Lobby Lounge for a talk and walking tour around the hotel which will give first time attendees a glimpse of a State Meeting. Meet other first time attendees and make some new friends to treasure for a lifetime! Come to this workshop and you will be on top of things. All your questions can be answered about convention. STATE REP/CLUB PRESIDENTS MEETING Lobby Lounge Friday, April 28, :15 pm - 2:00 pm If you are a Club President or State Representative, be sure to attend this workshop. It is an opportunity to get together with other Presidents and State Representatives to exchange and share new ideas to bring back to your club. SHOW AND SELL Promenade Friday, April 28, :00 pm - 6:00 pm (Setup 3:00 pm 4:00 pm) Here is your chance to purchase multiple related items or souvenirs. Bring home something for the children, Dad or Grandma and Grandpa. Clubs wishing to participate as member vendors must complete the enclosed Show and Sell contract and return it with the necessary fees. We will open the weekend with the Presentation of Colors, the Pledge of Allegiance and Introduction of the City Executive. Dinner and Casino Event will immediately follow.

If you don t know how to play casino games - our dealers will instruct you. You will receive play money to use during the evening. The afternoon session is scheduled to resume at 1:45 PM SHARP. To vote at the meeting, delegates and alternates MUST attend and register at the Delegate/Alternates meeting on Friday evening and be present during the AM and PM Roll Call. Delegates, Alternates and Past Presidents are asked to sit in the reserved area. This meeting is where we discuss the operation of the organization, reports are given, bylaw/standing rules are amended, elections are held and awards are presented. Any new information or announcements that may be of interest will be provided. All state club members should attend this meeting.
