4 Dragi ljubitelji Mladih levov, dragi umetniki in gostje, ko se takole vsako leto konec avgusta bliža festival Mladi levi, se ga vsakič znova veselimo z istim vznemirjenjem in pričakovanjem, a zdi se, da smo letos na program še posebej ponosni. Uspelo nam je najti nekakšno pravo ravnotežje med stalnicami evropskih festivalov in vzhajajočimi zvezdami ter hkrati pustiti odprto okno za mlade upe in presenečenja. Letošnji festival ostaja multidisciplinaren, saj so meje med žanri vedno bolj zabrisane, a kljub temu je težišče bolj kot prejšnja leta na gledališču, ki je v zadnjih letih našlo nov zagon, kot da bi se hotelo vrniti k svoji esenci igralcu. V ospredju je stiska posameznika, ki se vsak na svoj način spopada z eno največjih socialnih kriz sodobnega sveta. V svetu, kjer so meje, od koder lahko hitro zdrsneš onkraj roba družbe, zelo tanke, je ta posameznik včasih hudo obupan in osamljen. A kljub kaotični in ne preveč obetavni prihodnosti vedno znova najde nek nov smisel, veselje, ponos in dostojanstvo. In celo smisel za humor. Ker verjamemo, da imata umetnost in kultura v času globalnih kriz in vsekakor lahko govorimo vsaj o finančni, ekološki in socialni še posebno vlogo, smo si zadali eksperimentirati tudi s samo formo. V festivalsko dogajanje želimo vključiti celotno širšo sosesko v upanju, da nekoč preraste v pravo umetniško četrt, kjer je še možno oživiti občutek skupnosti, solidarnosti in ustvarjalnosti. 5 Dear friends of the Mladi levi Festival, dear artists and guests, Every year, at the end of August, the same kind of joyful excitement and great expectation comes over us, as the Festival draws nearer. This year s program, in particular, has made us all especially proud. We managed to find the right balance between the recognized highlights of European festivals on one hand, and rising stars on the other, while still leaving enough room for young hopefuls and surprises. Even though the Festival remains grounded in a multidisciplinary arena with the aim of transgressing the blurred genre borders, this year s emphasis lies on theatre in a much greater measure than before. Theatre has, after all, found a new kind of drive in these last couple of years as it moves towards its real essence the actor. The focus this year is on the hardships and difficult personal situations facing an individual, who is confronted with trying to cope in the elaborate social crises of the contemporary world. There are times when one can find oneself awfully lonely and desperate, having lost perspective in the middle of the world, with boundaries so thin that one can easily slip beyond the edge of society. Despite this chaotic and not all that-promising future, however, over and over again, we manage to find some kind of new meaning, joy, pride and dignity. And even, a sense of humour. Since it is our firm belief that art and culture play an even more important role at times of global crises in particular (it is, at the very least, legitimate to speak of a financial, environmental and social crisis at present), we decided to experiment with the form itself. We wish to bring the entire integrated neighbourhood into the Festival in the hope that the latter will grow into a real artistic quarter, which would still allow for the feeling of community, solidarity and creativity to emerge. 7 Petek, 21. avgust ob in sobota, 22. avgust ob Friday, August 21 st at 8 pm, and Saturday, 22 nd August at 9 pm Stara mestna elektrarna Elektro Ljubljana Sodobnost nasprotij Superamas so avstrijsko-francoski umetniški kolektiv, ki se skozi dolgoletno ustvarjalno pot vselej znova in vselej drugače poigrava z elementi nasprotij. V svojih umetniških kreacijah uporabljajo različne govorice teatralnih oblik, od gledališča, videa, performansa, plesa do instalacij, pogovorov in banketov. Z raznolikimi režijskimi prijemi raziskujejo razlike med kičem in umetnostjo, elitno in popularno kulturo, televizijo in gledališčem. Že desetletje so zvezda stalnica na evropskem in severnoameriškem horizontu sodobnih umetnosti, v Sloveniji pa bodo na letošnjih Mladih levih predstavljeni prvič. Empire (Art & Politics) se prične 1809 v vrtincu velike bitke pri Aspernu, ki je terjala rekordno število smrtnih žrtev in po kateri sta obe strani avstrijska in francoska slavili zmago. Slika Napoleonovega imperija pa sublimno razkriva poteze drugega, sodobnejšega imperija današnjih kapitalističnih demokracij. Zahodna družba ima pogosto nerealen in pomilovalen pogled na resničnost sveta in na drugega. Pretirana karitativna angažiranost mnogokrat zakriva lastno problematično situacijo, lažna prijaznost, korektnost in toleranca zakrivata latentno in potlačeno netoleranco. Ni potrebno oditi v Afganistan, da se srečaš z drugim. Contemporaneous Opposites The long-winding creative path of the Austrian-French artistic collective Superamas shows the mark of an ongoing play with opposites, which manifests itself anew in each incarnation. The collective uses various theatrical narrative forms in its artistic creations ranging from theatre, video, performance and dance to installations, conversations and banquets. The use of varying directing approaches allows for an explorative expedition into the emerging differences between kitsch and art, elite and popular culture, television and theatre. The Superamas have been shining on the European and North American horizon of contemporary arts for a decade now and the Mladi levi Festival is pleased to introduce them to a Slovenie audience for the very first time. Empire (Arts & Politics) begins in 1809, at the vibrant core of the Battle of Aspern, which took a record number of casualties and whose cessation gave reason for both sides to celebrate victory, the Austrians and the French. The depicted image of Napoleon s empire sublimely reveals the traits of another, far more contemporary empire as seen in the capitalist democracies of today. Western society often holds a distorted and pitiful view of the reality as such and also of the other. Exaggerated charitable stances often conceal a difficult personal situation, whereas pretended kindness, correct manners and tolerance seem to only be there to cover over latent and repressed intolerance. One does not need to leave for Afghanistan in order to meet the other.

9 Sobota, 22. avgust ob Saturday, August 22 nd at 7 pm Gledališče Glej O vrednosti in umetnosti Via Negativa je mednarodni gledališki projekt, ki je v slovenskem miljeju sodobnih scenskih umetnosti že dobro poznan. Kolektiv ustvarjalcev v njem deluje že od leta 2002 in se ukvarja predvsem z gledališkim performansom, ki ga opredeljuje kot razmerje med gledalcem in izvajalcem v nekem realnem času in prostoru. V ciklu predstav Via Nova performerji skušajo poglobiti in razčleniti nekatere elemente, ki so jih uporabljali v prejšnjih predstavah Vie Negative. Katarina Stegnar je večkrat nagrajena gledališka igralka in vsestranska performerka, ki je sodelovala že z mnogimi umetniki in skupinami, med drugim tudi z Betontancem. Z Vio Negativo sodeluje od leta Skozi čas je razvila svojevrstno uprizoritveno polje, v katerem raziskuje načine scenske predstavitve in problematizira tako lastno ustvarjalnost kot tudi medij, v katerem se izraža. V performansu Kupec z žilico Katarina Stegnar na svoj neposreden, precizen in zabaven način ustvari vprašanje o vrednosti lastnega dela. Sprašuje se, ali je gledalec s tem, ko kupi vstopnico za njeno predstavo, že tudi kupec njenega umetniškega dela. Ali pa morda to utegne šele postati, saj sama umetniško delo ustvarja tekom predstave? Katarino Stegnar zanima, kaj sploh je artefakt, ki ga scenski umetnik lahko proizvede, in kako mu postaviti ceno. Kdo ga lahko realno ovrednoti, če ne gledalec, ki je priča njegovemu nastajanju? Artefakt je torej naprodaj ga boste kupili? On Value and Art Via Negativa is an international theatre project that is already well known to the Slovene contemporary scene-arts milieu. The collective of its creators has been involved in the project ever since 2002, having placed the main focus of the project on its theatre performance, which is defined in terms of a relationship between the audience member and the performer as constituted in real dimensions of space and time. The cycle of the Via Nova performances attempts to deepen and break down some of the elements, previously used by the performers in the past works of Via negativa. Katarina Stegnar has won several awards for her work as a theatre actress and versatile performer, having worked together with many artists and groups already, including that of Betontanc. Katarina has been collaborating with Via Negativa ever since 2004 and she has managed to develop her distinct performative field through time. The latter allows her to explore the ways of scene presentation and to question her own creativity as well as the medium of her current expression. Katarina Stegnar poses a question about the value of her own work in the performance Kupec z žilico and she does this in a direct, precise and entertaining manner. She muses on an audience member who buys a ticket for her performance counts as a buyer of her art piece. Or do they, on the other hand, still become one, since she is creating the art piece in the process of the performance? Katarina Stegnar is interested in the very nature and definition of an artefact, potentially produced by the scene artist and in the question of setting a price for it. Who, of all people, can determine its value if not the audience, who stands witness to its making? If so, the artefact could be considered for sale would you buy it?

Na robu življenja Kornél Mundruczó je priznan madžarski filmski režiser, ki je lansko leto s svojim filmom Delta dobil nagrado kritikov na Filmskem festivalu v Cannesu. Je režiser, ki svojo filmsko govorico subtilno prenaša v polje gledališča. Predstava Frankenstein-Project je nastala v sodelovanju s scenaristko Yvette Bíró. Govori o ljudeh z roba družbe, ki jih od vključene večine ločujejo krhke meje»nevidnih mest«, o njihovih realnostih in (ne)možnostih. Osebe, o katerih govori predstava, so»persone non grate«, so skrite, zaprte za visokimi zidovi institucij, pahnjene v najgloblje nezavedno družbe. Frankenstein-Project odklene ključavnice jeklenih vrat, poruši zidove in nas sooči z dejstvom, da je naša družbena vključenost pravzaprav naključna in negotova. Gledalec predstave je priseljen v kontejnersko naselje na robu mesta, na rob življenja, kjer se mu pred očmi odvije predstava neke njegove možnosti, od katere ga bolj kot načrt ali delo ločuje»sreča«. On the Edge of Life Kornél Mundruczó is a widely recognized Hungarian film director who won the Critics Award at the Cannes Film Festival last year with his film Delta. Mundruczó has a distinctly subtle way of translating his film language into a theatre narrative. The performance Frankenstein-Project was conceived in collaboration with the playwright Yvette Bíró. It tells the story of people who live their lives on the very edge of society and contemplate their realities and (dis)abilities in the narrative process. Moreover, it tells the story of fragile borders, acting as blank spots between these people on one hand and the integrated majority on the other. The subjects thus portrayed in the performance are»persona non grata«- hidden out of sight and assigned a place in the unconscious, designating a container of what society refuses. The Frankenstein-Project unlocks the keyholes of the steel door, tears off the walls and confronts us with the terrifying fact that our social inclusion is nothing but an uncertain matter of coincidence. Audience members thus find themselves immigrated straight into the containers settlement, standing on the edge of life. It is from this perspective that the performance takes place in front of their eyes, pointing to an opportunity they are given as a fact. Not due to some carved out plan or hard work, but - paradoxically - sheer luck.

V njegovih performansih, ki jih izvaja s prefinjenim humorjem, lahko vedno zaznamo premišljeno napetost med intimnim, privatnim in javnim, ki jo Zorc še posebej rad zaostruje. V performansu Dober posel se Grega Zorc ukvarja z vprašanjem, ali performer lahko zaupa svoji publiki. Ali se umetniku investicija v publiko res obrestuje? Vprašanje je sila preprosto, odgovor nas čaka na koncu V drugem delu performansa, ki ga Grega Zorc poimenuje Zorc: Vse, zaradi česar ste prišli, nas popelje po gradnikih svoje intimne zgodbe, samonikle mitologije lastne družine. Skozi iskreno zgodbo razgalja svoj odnos do družine in predvsem svoje spomine nanjo On Money and Memories Grega Zorc has been a part of the Via Negativa collective ever since it was formed in He otherwise performs in several independent theatre projects. Marked by sophisticated humour, his performances repeatedly reveal a well-thoughtout tension between the intimate, the private and the public, which Zorc likes pushing further toward the edge. The performance Dober posel deals with the question of whether a performer is able to trust his audience. Does it really pay off for an artist to invest in his audience? The question may appear all too simple, but the answer comes at the end The second part of the performance, which Grega Zorc decided to name Zorc: All the reasons that brought you here, lead across the paths of his own intimate story, a self engendered mythology of his family. He tells a sincere and revealing story of his own family and above all of the memories connected with it.

15 Ponedeljek, 24. avgust ob Monday, August 24 th at 7.30 pm Gledališče Glej O teoriji in življenju Boris Kadin je vsestranski scenski ustvarjalec, ki prihaja iz Dubrovnika. V samostojnih projektih, ki jih je ustvarjal, se je pogosto na radikalen način ukvarjal s položajem in vlogo scenskega umetnika. Z režiserjem Bojanom Jablanovcem in s kolektivom Via Negativa sodeluje od leta V svojem performansu Kaj mi je povedal Joseph Beuys, ko sem mrtev ležal v njegovem naročju razčlenjuje vprašanje interpretacije umetniškega dela in razmišlja o svojem odnosu do klasifikacije umetnosti, analize umetniških del in teorije sodobnih umetnosti. Trdi, da vsaka analiza umetniškemu delu nemudoma vzpostavi kontekst. Ali je ta primeren ali popolnoma zgrešen, ni odvisno od umetnika, njegovih razlag in želja, temveč se vzpostavi neodvisno od njega. Kadinov neposredni nastop je tako prepričljiv in energičen, da za trenutek pozabimo, da je ta, ki se na odru sprašuje o analizi, interpretaciji in teoriji sodobne umetnosti, pravzaprav zajec. On Theory and Life Boris Kadin is a versatile scene artist hailing from Dubrovnik. His own independent projects often deal with the situation and the role of the scene artist in a radical manner. He has been working with director Bojan Jablanovec and the Via Negativa collective ever since He analyzes the question of interpretation in reference to an art work in his performance Kaj mi je povedal Joseph Beuys, ko sem mrtev ležal v njegovem naročju and thinks about his own attitude in relation to the classification of art, analysis of artistic works, and the theory of contemporary arts. Boris Kadin claims that every analysis instantly engenders a context for an artistic work. It does not depend on an artist, on the basis of his explanations and desires, whether this very context is suitable or a complete shot in the dark. On the contrary, the context arises independently of an artist. The direct performance of Kadin is so convincing and dynamic that it makes us forget who is questioning the analysis, interpretation and contemporary art theory: the rabbit himself.

Skozi edinstven umetniški jezik latvijskega režiserja mlajše generacije Alvisa Hermanisa je Sonja postala ena od pravih evropskih gledaliških uspešnic zadnjih let. Hermanis, ki z vsako novo predstavo izumlja povsem sveže režijske prijeme in gledališke formate, je prav s to predstavo prodrl na tako rekoč vse pomembne evropske festivale. Sonja je nežna in melanholična predstava o osamljeni gospe poznih srednjih let, ki živi na robu beckettovskega univerzuma. Subtilnost, s katero Hermanis predstavlja lik osamljene gospodinje, pušča ravno dovolj prostora obilici pretanjenega humorja, ki zaveje skozi njeno vsakdanjo in osamljeno kuhinjsko rutino. V stanovanju iz petdesetih let 20. stoletja vse poteka v počasnem, ustaljenem ritmu, dokler gospa Sonja nekega dne ne prejme ljubezenskega pisma in njen urejeni svet se postavi na glavo Le kdo ji ga je poslal? Sonjo, ki je latvijskega režiserja Alvisa Hermanisa izstrelila na evropski gledališki zemljevid, mnogi gledalci in kritiki uvrščajo v svoj ožji izbor antologijskih predstav. Charming Melancholia The performance Sonja is based on a short story by subtle Russian author Tatiana Tolstaya and brought to life by a younger generation Latvian director, Alvis Hermanis. Having translated the story into a unique artistic language, Hermanis has succeeded in staging a true European theatre hit, which has enraptured audiences across numerous theatre stages in the last couple of years. Sonja opened the door to all the prominent European festivals for Hermanis, otherwise well known for inventing fresh directing approaches and theatre formats. Sonja is a gentle and melancholic performance of a lonely lady in late middle age, dwelling on the edge of the Beckettian universe. The character of a lonesome housewife is painted in a subtle manner, leaving room for an extensive amount of sophisticated humour to infuse her solitary kitchen routine of everyday reality. Things take place in a slow and determined rhythm within the walls of her 1950s apartment, until one day Sonja receives a love letter, which shakes her world upside down Who on earth could it be from? In addition to placing the Latvian director Alvis Hermanis on the European theatre map, Sonja found itself on the shortlist of many theatre critics and audience members.

Že pred dvema letoma se je po svetu bliskoma razširila vest o novem valu mladega japonskega gledališča. Mladi člani Faifai prihajajo iz Tokia, kjer so ustanovili svojo gledališko skupino, ker so se naveličali prilagajanja standardom, ki so jih postavljali drugi. Skupina Faifai je izšla iz razpoznavne in obsesivno spreminjajoče se tokijske urbane kulture. Ustvarili so svojo mešanico humorja in občutljivosti, sarkazma in simpatije. Iz umetniških sredstev in materialov, ki jih ponuja ulica, so ustvarili avtentično gledališko govorico sliko kulture, v kateri je jezik tako tuj, da identitetam le stežka podeli imena. V predstavi My Name Is I Love You lahko prepoznamo vrsto urbanih kulturnih referenc, ki se sestavljajo v futurološko ljubezensko zgodbo, v kateri je glavno gonilo trgovanje. Predstava spominja na serijo sličic iz japonskih risanih stripov, preprosti angleški stavki in pretirana igra pa se prepletejo v večplastno humorno refleksivno podobo sodobne (japonske) družbe, v kateri sta nadvse pomembna moda, stil in kjer je ljubezen le dober nakup. From Tokyo with love Do you like me? News about the young Japanese theatre wave spread instantly across the globe two years ago. The young Faifai members come from Tokyo, where they established their own theatre group as a result of an increasing discontent they felt towards the compulsive following of standards set by others. The Faifai group emerged on the basis of the distinct and obsessively altering Tokyo urban culture, having invented its own mixture of humour, sensibility, sarcasm and sympathy. The use of artistic instruments and materials, offered by the street, opened the way for the group to invent an authentic theatre language a portrait of culture with a language so radically foreign that its signifying process has a hard time ascribing specific names to existing identities. The performance My Name Is I Love You drops a variety of urban cultural references in front of the audience and melts them into a futuristic love story, the course of which is determined by the trading rules. The performance shows a striking similarity to the series of little images from Japanese illustrated comics, whereby the use of simple English sentences on one hand and exaggerated stage performance on the other, engenders a multilayered image of a contemporary (Japanese) society, marked with humour and a contemplative spirit. It reflects a society, compulsively preoccupied with fashion and style, portraying love as nothing but a good deal. From Tokyo with love

21 Sreda, 26. avgust ob Wednesday, August 26 th at 8 pm Trg OF Upornice Kombinatke so se zbrale in na dan upora, 27. aprila 2008, ustanovile ženski pevski zbor Kombinat. Okrog 40 jih je, prihajajo z vseh koncev Slovenije, združuje pa jih vera v skupne vrednote: pogum, srčnost, solidarnost in tovarištvo. S pesmijo želijo ohranjati spomin na revolucije širom sveta, na ljudi, ki so trdno verjeli v pravičnost in svobodo, na tiste, ki so dvignili svoj glas in žrtvovali svoja življenja, da bi svet postal boljši. Kombinatke v izvirnih jezikih prepevajo uporniške pesmi z vsega sveta in trdno verjamejo, da kritična misel lahko vzklije le iz uporne drže. Njihovi koncerti so tako rekoč hommage vsem velikim uporniškim duhovom človeške zgodovine. Odkar je pred dobrim letom garažni pevski zbor Kombinat pričel prepevati, se je njegova ideja uporniškega izročila bliskoma razširila po vsej Sloveniji. Po številnih gverilskih in festivalskih nastopih bodo v okviru Mladih levov zapele na Trgu Osvobodilne fronte v Ljubljani El Pueblo Unido Jamas Sera Vencido Čile, Female Rebels The Kombinat women came together on the Day of Uprising, April 27 th 2008, and established the female choir Kombinat. It consists of roughly 40 women from all parts of Slovenia. What unites them is their belief in common values: courage, valour, solidarity, and comradely spirit. It is through song that they wish to preserve the memory of revolutions those that have taken place across the globe as well as of those people, who believed in justice and freedom. They sing to and for all those who raised their voices and gave their lives in order to make the world a better place. The Kombinat women sing rebel songs from all over the world while maintaining a firm belief that a critical thought can only emerge from a rebellious attitude. Their concerts could well be described as homage to all the great rebellious spirits of human history. Ever since the garage choir Kombinat began its singing path a year ago, the idea of a rebellious form instantly spread across Slovenia. After several guerrilla and festival appearances they will raise their voices once again on the Trg Osvobodilne fronte in Ljubljana as part of the framework of the Mladi levi Festival El Pueblo Unido Jamas Sera Vencido - Chile, 1973.

23 Četrtek, 27. avgust ob Thursday, August 27 th at 8 pm Stara mestna elektrarna Elektro Ljubljana Surova energija V svojem začetnem obdobju ustvarjanja, v sedemdesetih letih 20. stoletja, je Heiner Müller napisal adaptacijo Shakespearovega Macbetha z velikim avtorskim pečatom. Ob tem je prejel mnogo kritik glede pesimizma, ki preveva dramo. V njegovem besedilu zgodovina nasilja nima konca, en umor vodi v drugega, vse postaja vedno bolj peklensko, nasilje pa nima pravega čustvenega ali logičnega argumenta. V Müllerjevem Macbethu so monologi korenito skrajšani, trenutkov ubesedene refleksije in pomislekov ni več. Drama osvetljuje strukturo moči in oblasti, ki ni več funkcija, ampak je sama sebi namen, v interesu katere ni nič drugega kot lastno vzpostavljanje. To je struktura, ki ustvarja zlo in iz katere izhajajo osnove totalitarizmov. Režiser predstave Macbeth po Shakespearu Ivica Buljan prihaja s Hrvaške, njegov obširen opus pa pušča opazne sledi tudi na slovenski uprizoritveni sceni. Predstava Macbeth po Shakespearu je očiščena pripovednih scenskih elementov in velikih besed. Je kot energična testosteronska bitka med slokimi in samovšečnimi mladimi samci. Surovi in brutalni odnosi med liki, ki sta jim odvzeti dimenzija dobrega in tudi vsakršna psihološka globina, gledalca puščajo brez besed. Raw Energy Heiner Müller wrote an adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth in the early period of his artistic path, in the seventies, and imprinted a grand authorial signature into it. He had to face an extensive amount of criticism afterwards, claiming that the play was excessively pessimistic. Indeed, the text does not hold any prospects of the violence ending. One murder leads to another, hell increasingly breaks loose, and the violence holds no substantial emotional or logical argument. Monologues appear drastically shortened in Müller s Macbeth, leaving no space for articulated reflection or second thoughts. The play shed light on the structure of power and authority, which no longer stands as a function, but serves its own purpose while having its eyes set on one thing only: the omnipotent grandeur of the self. It is the structure, giving birth to evil and the grounds for totalitarianism to emerge. Ivica Buljan, the director of Macbeth po Shakespearu, comes from Croatia and his extensive opus has left visible marks on the Slovene performing arts scene. Macbeth po Shakespearu is stripped of narrative scene elements and grand words. It seems like a dynamic testosterone nettle among slender young males, who are full of themselves. There is no shade of goodness or psychological depth in the characters, who form raw and brutal attitudes between themselves, leaving the audience in speechless astonishment

25 Petek, 28. avgust ob Friday, August 28 th at 7 pm PTL Sam z vsemi Elia Mrak je bil rojen v Seattlu v Združenih državah Amerike. Po kolidžu je prejel Watsonovo štipendijo, da bi lahko prišel v Evropo in raziskoval različne oblike sodobnega plesa. Dve leti svojega časa na evropskem kontinentu je preživel večinoma na Balkanu, pot po Evropi pa je začel ravno na Mladih levih kot eden nepogrešljivih prostovoljcev festivala. Letos se vrača na festival kot pravi Mladi lev, plesalec in nomad. Že drugo leto zapored se je udeležil izobraževalnega programa Nomad Dance Academy, v okviru katerega se je 14 mladih plesalcev kot plesno pleme selilo po mestih Balkana, na vsaki postojanki so bili deležni novega znanja in izkušnje sodobnega plesa. V nomadskem procesu je Elia Mrak ustvaril svojo solo predstavo. Lord don't let the Devil steal the beat! je ganljivi trans o iskanju kolektivnega bistva, je predstava, kjer občinstvo s plesalcem zadržuje dih in pazljivo spremlja tok njegove misli. Elia Mrak razmišlja o lastni identiteti, političnih imperativih in možnosti skupne radosti. V vzdušju, ki ga ustvarja s solom, se občinstvo zlije z njim in s tem se odpira polje možnosti za identifikacijo v delitvi skupnega prostora, časa in izkušnje. Alone With Everyone Elia Mrak was born in Seattle, U.S.A. After finishing college, he accepted the Watson fellowship to go to Europe and explore different forms of contemporary dance. Having started his journey across Europe as an irreplaceable volunteer with the Mladi levi Festival, Elia Mrak continued his European adventure in the Balkan region, where he stayed for about two years. Elia Mrak is returning to the Festival this year in the spirit of a true Young Lion, dancer and nomad. He has been participating in an educational program at the Nomad Dance Academy for two consecutive years now. The latter had 14 young dancers move around the cities of Balkan like a dance tribe, acquiring new knowledge and gaining the experience of contemporary dance at every stop along the way. Elia Mrak created his solo performance during this nomadic process. Lord don't let the Devil steal the beat! is a touching trance in the search for a collective essence. It is a performance in which the audience takes its breath together with the dancer while carefully observing his associative mind path. The author contemplates his own identity, political imperatives and the possibilities of mutual joy. The atmosphere of his solo performance enables the audience to melt together with Elia Mrak, which allows for the possibility of identification during the sharing of mutual space, time and experience.

Aleksandar Georgiev prihaja iz Makedonije, kjer se je ukvarjal z latinskoameriškimi in folklornimi plesi, ki jih je plesal v svojem, makedonskem stilu. Zdaj končuje študij plesnega gledališča na New Bulgarian University v Sofiji in letos se je udeležil izobraževanega programa Nomad Dance Academy. Svoj prvenec Treshol (in process D) je prvič predstavil javnosti v okviru Short cuts 09, zaključnega umetniškega dogodka nomadske akademije v Ljubljani. V njem sodeluje še s tremi plesnimi nomadi, s katerimi je delil tudi učno izkušnjo sodobnega plesa, potujoč po Balkanu. V predstavi Treshol (in process D) se Aleksandar Georgiev poigrava z idejo bolečine. Kolikšen dražljaj je potreben, da človek bolečino začuti? Koliko bolečine lahko prenese? Prag bolečine in toleranco do bolečine plesalci uporabijo kot gonilo giba in akcije, kot osnovo za ustvarjanje odnosov med njimi in prehajanja v različna psihofizična stanja. Bolečino človek sprejme mnogo lažje, kadar nosi nek pomen in kadar je del igrivega preizkusa. Kaj se z njo zgodi potem? Ali se nanjo navadi, postane manj občutljiv? Does it hurt yet? Aleksandar Georgiev comes from Macedonia, where he was involved in Latinamerican and folklore dances, performing them in a rather unique, Macedonian style. He has nearly finished his degree in dance theatre at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia, and has also been a participant of a Dance Academy educational program. His debut Treshol (in process D) was presented to the public for the first time within the framework of Short cuts 09, the final artistic event of the nomad academy in Ljubljana. There are three other dance nomads appearing in the performance, who share Georgiev s educational experience in contemporary dance while travelling across the Balkans. Aleksandar Georgiev has dedicated the performance of Treshol (in process D) to his play with the idea of pain. What amount of stimuli does it take for a person to feel pain? How much pain can one stand? Dancers explore the limits of pain and tolerance as a motor of moving gestures and actions, as a basis for establishing relations between them on the one hand and for transgressing into various psychophysical states. Pain is so much easier to accept when the latter carries some kind of purpose and constitutes a part of a playful experiment. Is pain something one grows accustomed to, does one become less sensitive to it?

Ivana Müller se razvija v eno najzanimivejših umetniških imen na evropski plesni sceni, v njenih predstavah pa lahko vedno znova sledimo svežim povezavam med izvirno uporabo gledališko-plesnih sredstev, izjemnim občutkom za različne narativnosti in daljnosežnimi, pretanjenimi idejami. Predstava While We Were Holding It Together pomeni nekakšen preobrat v umetniškem opusu zanimivih in samosvojih predstav Ivane Müller. V njej se avtorica poigra s konceptoma telesa in misli ter s povezavo med njima. Predstava je oda človeški domišljiji, ob njenem spremljanju nezavedno postanemo pozorni opazovalci in aktivni tkalci pomenov in zgodb. Je kot zabavna gledališka križanka, v kateri po zadanih geslih prazna polja izpolnjujemo gledalci sami. An Ode to Imagination Ivana Müller, a Croatian choreographer and performer living in Amsterdam, is by no means a stranger to Slovene audiences. The stages of Ljubljana have welcomed several of her performances already, including at the Mladi levi festival, which presented How Heavy Are My Thoughts at the time. Ivana Müller is quickly becoming one of the most interesting artistic players on the European dance scene, largely due to her performances revealing a distinctly fresh interaction between the original use of theatre-dance instruments, a breathtaking instinct for different forms of narration and wide-ranging ideas of subtlety. While We Were Holding It Together is best understood as a new chapter in the artistic opus of engaging and rather specific performances by Ivana Müller, especially since the author focuses on the concepts of body and mind while attempting to bridge the gap between them. The performance could well be characterized as an ode to the human imagination and not without reason while watching it, the audience members become not only careful observers, but also active producers of meaning and fluent narrators of stories without knowing so. While We Were Holding It Together resembles an amusing theatre puzzle, where the audience itself has to fill in the blanks by following the provided clues. Various meanings thus generated grow larger and larger until the audience is able to catch sight of a wide and fascinating landscape, spreading itself in front and around them. And it is that very landscape that provides the setting for the audience members as well as for the five protagonists to mutually slide over and across its curves.»i can just imagine us shooting a commercial somewhere in the Alps while yodels echo from afar I can see myself being on a family trip in the woods and it is just starting to snow «It doesn t take much for a story to emerge, a couple of words suffice to send us off into another world. However, what may seem a coincidental sum of ideas in the beginning turns out to be an unexpected and complex whole in the course of the performance.

31 Petek, 28. avgust ob Friday, August 28 th at pm Druga pomoč Ruta Nordmane je ena izmed letošnjih plesnih nomadk izobraževalnega programa Nomad Dance Academy. V Latviji, od koder prihaja, je študirala na Academy of Culture in se izobraževala na delavnicah sodobnih plesnih koreografov po vsej Evropi. Tudi sama je že ustvarila vrsto plesnih predstav, letos pa se je spoprijela z žanrom plesnega filma in v okviru Short Cuts 09 Nomad Dance Academy prvič predstavila kratki film Apple Man. V njem se skozi serijo igrivih plesnih kadrov pozabava z odnosom med tremi moškimi. Pravila igre so njena Ruta Nordmane is one of this year's dance nomads at the Nomad Dance Academy educational program. She studied at the Academy of Culture in Latvia, where she also comes from, and participated in workshops of contemporary dance choreographers all over Europe. She has created several dance performances herself already. This year, she has focused her interest on the dance film genre. Ruta premieres the short film Apple Man within the framework of the Short Cuts 09 Nomad Dance Academy. She has fun in presenting a relationship between three men through a series of playful dance scenes. And she sets the rules of the game

33 Sobota, 29. avgust ob Saturday, August 29 th at 8 pm Stara mestna elektrarna Elektro Ljubljana Igrive ljubezenske fotografije Mlada srbska dramatičarka Maja Pelević je leta 2007 z dramo Možda smo mi Miki Maus zmagala na natečaju za avtorsko dramsko besedilo festivala Sterijino pozorje. Ko se je srečala z režiserjem Matjažem Pograjcem in člani ustvarjalne ekipe Betontanca, je pričela nastajati čustvena in presenetljiva odrska zgodba. Pograjc je tokrat izbral igralsko ekipo med mlajšo generacijo srbskih igralcev in se z njimi v predstavi vrnil na tisto igrivo gibalno polje, s katerega so se prve zasedbe Betontanca oddaljile na koncu 90. let. Kopica nežnih, grobih, ljubezenskih, zabavnih in žalostnih prizorov, nanizanih eden za drugim, slika trenutke in usode naključnih mimoidočih ljudi. Čeprav se zgodba Možda smo mi Miki Maus sprva zdi zgolj kot kolaž dramskih motivov, se na koncu iz avtomata za izdelavo fotografij izriše portret sodobnega slehernika, obarvanega z njegovimi radostmi in skrbmi, z izgubljenostjo in iznajdljivostjo. Energična predstava v stilu pravega Betontanca, s kancem srbskega humorja, čustvenosti in odlične glasbe ter nezamenljivim gibalnim podpisom Branka Potočana. Prvič bo predstava Možda smo Miki Maus slovenskemu občinstvu predstavljena prav na letošnjih Mladih levih. Playful Love Photographs Maja Pelević, a young Serbian dramatist, won an anonymous contest for best contemporary dramatic text at the Sterijino pozorje festival in Novi Sad in An emotional and surprising theatre piece began to emerge when she met director Matjaž Pograjc and creative members of the Betontanc group. Pograjc decided to form his acting cast from the younger generation of Serbian actors for the purpose of this performance and led them back into the very arena of movement, which was left behind by the first Betontanc cast in the beginning of the nineties. A succession of gentle, rough, amusing and sad scenes slide by, portraying the moments and destinies of random passersby. Even though the story Možda smo mi Miki Maus may seem like a collage of drama motives at first, it becomes evident eventually that the photo machine is producing an image of a contemporary subject, coloured with their joys and worries, their disorientation and resourcefulness. An energetic performance in a true Betontanc style, marked with a pinch of Serbian humour, sentimentality as well as excellent music, not to mention the unique motive signature of choreographer Branko Potočan. The Mladi levi Festival is proud to premiere this performance of Možda smo Miki Maus to a Slovenian audience for the very first time.

35 V dvanajstih letih festivala Mladi levi smo v Bunkerju vsako leto pripravili majice kot spomin na festivalsko vzdušje in nepozabne umetniške izkušnje. Lani smo prvič preizkusili nov koncept festivalskih majic nismo kupili, ampak smo jih ponošene, a še vedno uporabne zbrali od prijateljev, znancev in darovalcev z vseh vetrov. V roke jih je vzela oblikovalka Tanja Radež, ki je nanje natisnila mladolevovske motive in jim dala novo priložnost, podobo in sporočilo. Lanskoletne festivalske majice so doživele pravo revolucijo, še danes jih vidimo, ko se sprehajajo po ljubljanskih ulicah in pomislimo glej jo, mojo bivšo majico! Letos zbiramo vse vrste oblačil; oblačila, ki so preozka ali preširoka, ki so bila prehitro kupljena, pa vzorec ne ustreza, pa tudi takšna, za katera se zdi, da bi z nekaj popravki lahko ponovno oživela. Tudi letos jih preoblikuje Tanja Radež, ustvarjalka nepozabnih vizualnih podob, pripovedovalka najlepših zgodb ter hišna oblikovalka Bunkerja, Stare mestne elektrarne Elektro Ljubljana in Prešernovega gledališča Kranj. Tokrat je k sodelovanju povabila svoje kolege, umetnike in sanjalce. Jure Engelsberger, Arijana Gadžijev, Polona Maher in Zora Stančič so ji podarili svoje ilustracije in nekatere izmed njih so odtisnjene na letošnja mladolevovska oblačila. Vsako je unikatno in vredno več, kot bi zanj lahko odšteli v trgovini, saj je plod združenih moči, sodelovanja in solidarnosti, zaznamovane s kreativnostjo petih odličnih slovenskih vizualnih ustvarjalcev. The Bunker team has been preparing T-shirts as a symbolic memory of the festival atmosphere and of unforgettable artistic experiences throughout the twelve years of the festival s existence. We tried out a new concept last year we did not buy festival T-shirts, but collected them from friends, acquaintances and donors. They were passed on to the designer Tanja Radež, who printed the Mladi levi motifs on them and gave them a new chance, design, and message Last year s festival T-shirts instigated a true revolution. They can still be seen, walking around the streets of Ljubljana and every time when this happens it hits us bloody hell, that s my ex T-shirt! We are collecting all sorts of clothes this year; clothes too small or too big, clothes bought too fast or where the pattern does not fit, or clothes that can start their lives once again with a couple of amendments here and there. These clothes will be redesigned this year again by Tanja Radež, the weaver of unforgettable visual imagery, the narrator of stories most beautiful and a designer of the Bunker, Stara mestna elektrarna Elektro Ljubljana and Prešeren Theatre Kranj. She invited some of her colleagues, artists and dreamers to work with her this year. Jure Engelsberger, Arijana Gadžijev, Polona Maher and Zora Stančič gave her their illustrations and you ll be able to see some of them printed on the Mladi levi clothes this year. Each of these clothes is unique and worth more than what you d pay for in a store, because it represents the result of mutual effort, cooperation and solidarity, bearing the creative signature of five excellent Slovene visual artists.

36 MY STREET Sostenuto S projektom Sostenuto je Bunker postal del širše evropske zgodbe z mednarodnimi partnerji izvajamo eksperiment, katerega cilj je iskati ekonomske in organizacijske inovacije na področju kulture. Projekt je poizkus drugačnega sodelovanja med umetniškimi in izobraževalnimi organizacijami, različnimi civilnimi društvi in predvsem posamezniki, ki so se morda naveličali stalne odvisnosti trga in njegovih zakonitosti ter si želijo aktivno iskati nove vzorce sodelovanja in bolj angažirane vloge v skupnosti. Skupaj se ponovno podajamo v neznano in širimo obzorja. Preko projektov povezovanja in z vzpostavljanjem modelov za solidarnostno izmenjavo virov, znanj in storitev med različnimi akterji predvsem v lokalnem okolju iščemo inovativne načine organiziranja v kulturi in spodbujamo nedenarno izmenjavo. Bunker has become part of a wider European story with the Sostenuto Project. We have joined forces with international partners to perform an experiment, aimed at producing economic and organizational innovations in the area of culture. The project represents an experiment in terms of establishing a different kind of cooperation between artistic and educational institutions, different civil societies and, above all, individuals who may have grown tired of their constant dependence on the rules of trade as defined by the market, and want to conduct an active search for new patterns of cooperation and play a more active role in the community. We have therefore decided to jointly step into the unknown and widen our horizons one more time. Taking networking projects as our starting point, we intend to establish models for a solidarity exchange of resources, knowledge and services amongst different subjects (especially within the local environment), which can further allow for innovative ways in organizing culture and encourage a money-free exchange.

37 Moja ulica Letošnji festival se skuša na novo preplesti z lokalno skupnostjo v poskusu izvabiti iz naše četrti njen izjemen potencial, da preraste v pravo umetniško četrt. Moja ulica je sklop aktivnosti, ki so usmerjene k prebivalcem naše širše okolice, k njenim kulturnim ustanovam in ostalim akterjem z drugih področij delovanja. Zajema raznolike dejavnosti, od oživljanja ulice, vzpostavljanja kulturne soseske, do konkretnih poizkusov uporabe ekonomskih in organizacijskih inovacij. Zanima nas, ali lahko s skupnimi močmi odgovorimo na družbeno-ekonomske spremembe in spremljajočo okoljsko krizo, ki prevevajo trenutno družbeno ozračje. Skozi vrsto različnih dogodkov želimo stkati novo mrežo odnosov in okrepiti kolektivno domišljijo, ki nam bi osvežila pogled na osnovne človeške vrednote. My street This year s festival is once again interested in weaving new threads with the local community by trying to lure the neighbourhood into letting its potential out in the open and transform itself into a real artistic quarter. My street is a circle of activities, organized for local dwellers, local cultural institutions and subjects from other areas of action. The project encompasses various activities, such as breathing new life into the streets, establishing a cultural neighbourhood, and performing concrete experiments of economic and organizational innovations. What interests us with this project is whether the joining of forces can provide an answer to socioeconomic changes and environmental crisis, which both seem to define the current social atmosphere. We would like to form a new network of relationships through a series of different events and strengthen the collective imagination, which can put human values in a new perspective for us. Ulična borza V drugačen sistem izmenjave stopamo z Ulično borzo, ki nam bo pokazala, kaj vse imamo in lahko delimo z drugimi na podlagi neposrednih menjav in brez denarja. Sodelujoči v procesu bodo svoje izkušnje in znanja preko izmenjav brezplačno širili in hkrati tkali nove vezi v lokalnih socialnih mrežah. Dokazovali bomo, da so neosebni in odtujeni ekonomski odnosi med ljudmi lahko tudi drugačni ponudniki storitev dobijo ime in obraz, sodelujemo pa lahko brez denarja, saj se usluga vrne s protiuslugo. Izmenjevali bomo vse vsebine, za katere sodelujoči mislijo, da bodo koristile soudeležencem, pa naj bo to oprijemljiv predmet ali pa čas, ki ste ga pri-

38 pravljeni vložiti. Na druženju ob festivalskem dogajanju bomo izmenjevali prav vse; karte za kino in gledališče, tečaj pisanja kitajskih pismenk, jagodno torto, knjigo ali inštrukcije uporabe elektronske pošte. Izmenjava se bo odvijala vsak dan pol ure pred predstavo, najbolj živahno pa bodo izmenjave potekale prav na dan otvoritve festivala, na ploščadi Slovenskega etnografskega muzeja ob 22. uri. Ulična borza bo od vseh aktivnosti na Mladih levih najbolj zajela idejo nedenarne izmenjave storitev in dobrin, ki je temelj projekta Sostenuto, hkrati pa bo uvod v bolj kompleksen sistem izmenjav, ki ga bo zavod Bunker v prihodnje vzpostavljal na spletu. Street market The Street Market will open a door into a different exchange system, making us understand all the things we own and can share with others on the basis of immediate exchange with no money involved. The participants will spread their experiences and knowledge free of charge while forming new bonds in local social networks. The Street Market sets out to prove that the impersonal and alienated economic relations between people can be replaced - with service providers gaining a face and a name. This kind of exchange also welcomes those without any money whatsoever, since a service is returned with a counter service. Any materials or things that may hold some value and could be of use to participant, will be more than welcome regardless of whether that is some concrete object or your personal time. Prepare yourself for a universal exchange at the social time of the festival happening, which may include things as different as a class of Chinese letter writing, strawberry cake, a book, or lessons on how to use . The exchange should normally take place every day, 30 minutes before the performance, but it will be in full swing on the evening of the festival s opening, at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum platform at 10 p.m. It is the Street Market of all the Mladi levi activities that capture the idea of a money-free exchange of services and various goods the most - providing the basis for the Sostenuto project. The Street Market stands as an introduction to a more complex exchange system, which will be established online in the near future by Bunker.

39 OTVORITEV OPENING DJ-i in VJ-i DJing and VJing Za odlične plesne ritme bosta na otvoritveni zabavi Mladih levov skrbela DJ-a Code.EP Borka in Bakto. Večer in noč pa bo obarval video Prostor spomina, ki sta ga oblikovala VJ-a Bakto in Ozo. Code.EP DJs, Borka and Bakto, will take care of the excellent dance groove at the opening party of the festival, accompanied by the video Space of Memory, made by VJs Bakto and Ozo, which is to shine through the night in colourful splendour. KUHARSKA DELAVNICA COOKING WORKSHOP Primož Dolničar vodi kuharsko delavnico, na kateri bodo pripravili večerno pogostitev za vse sosede in goste festivala. Kuhalnice bodo vihteli upokojenci iz Dnevnega centra aktivnosti. Ob mešanju polente in gnetenju testa se bodo na ploščadi Slovenskega etnografskega muzeja zabavali od zgodnjega popoldneva naprej. Delavnica je namenjena medgeneracijski izmenjavi kuharskih veščin, hrana pa bo postrežena na otvoritveni zabavi Mladih levov. Primož Dolničar will be running a cooking workshop, which will prepare an evening treat for all the neighbours and festival guests. The retirees from the Daily Activities Centre will spin spoons at the Slovene Ethnographic Museum platform and will have the time of their life doing so from the early afternoon on. The purpose of the workshop lies in the intergenerational exchange of cooking skills, whereas the prepared food shall be served at the Mladi levi opening party.

Njihove instalacije mimoidoče opominjajo na obrise mesta, v katerem živijo, na skrite prostore, ki jih v mimohodu že dolgo ne opazijo več. V te prostore naselijo nenavadne predmete, ki razkrivajo neskončno polje možnosti, ki jih skriti kotički ponujajo. V projektu ProstoRož09_ulica bo pozornost namenjena Slomškovi ulici, ki v ljubljanski mestni četrti Tabor predstavlja glavno kulturno os. Na njej in v njeni neposredni bližini se nahajajo številne kulturne inštitucije od Slovenskega etnografskega muzeja, Ministrstva za kulturo in Metelkova mesta do Stare mestne elektrarne Elektro Ljubljana, Kinodvora, Kinoteke in mnogih drugih. Kljub naštetim inštitucijam in odlični lokaciji pa podoba tega mestnega predela ne izžareva kulturnega značaja. Vzrok temu je lahko pomanjkanje javnega prostora ob ulici, saj so pločniki ozki, cesta je obojestransko zaparkirana, v pritličjih pa primanjkuje javnega programa. Med festivalom Mladi levi bodo arhitektke javni prostor Slomškove ulice razširile na mesta parkirnih prostorov. Deset izbranih parkirišč se bo spremenilo v prostore, namenjene preživljanju prostega časa, rekreaciji, igri in zanimivim kulturnim, pa tudi izobraževalnim dogodkom. S projektom ProstoRož09_ulica želimo v dogajanje na ulici vključiti čim več lokalnega prebivalstva, zaposlenih, mimoidočih ter obiskovalcev in udeležencev festivala Mladi levi. Vabljeni! ProstoRož is a collective of female architects, which has been performing creative and well-considered interventions in the public urban environment ever since Their installations remind passersby of the forgotten silhouettes of the city and of the hidden spaces, which they failed to notice when walking by. The collective is known for inhabiting spaces of this sort with unusual objects, which open an endless horizon of opportunities. The ProstoRož09_ulica project will focus its attention on Slomškova Street, which constitutes the central cultural axis within the Ljubljana city quarter called Tabor. Several cultural institutions are located either within its line or in its immediate distance the

42 Slovene Ethnographic Museum, the Ministry of Culture and Metelkova City, as well as Stara mestna elektrarna Elektro Ljubljana, Kinodvor, Kinoteka and many others. Despite the listed institutions and, moreover, the excellent location they inhabit, the image of this city quarter fails to express its cultural character. The reason for this may be the lack of public space next to the street, since the pavements are short and the street is filled with parked cars in both directions and there is no public program in the ground floors. The architects will make use of the festival period to expand the public space of Slomškova Street by pushing its limits over the parking spaces. Ten chosen parking spaces will thus be transformed into spaces of leisure, intended for recreation, play, and interesting cultural, as well as educational, events. The ProstoRož09_ulica project aims at involving the biggest possible amount of local inhabitants, workers, passers, visitors and participants of the Mladi levi Festival. You are kindly invited! Aktivnosti na ProstoRož09_ulici: 1 PRAVLJIČNO IGRIŠČE Obiščite pravljično hiško, v kateri bodo otroci na otvoritveni dan ustvarjali pohištvo, ki bo v prihodnjih dneh na ogled. Lahko zaživi kot bralni kotiček ali igralnica ob prijetnem druženju otrok in odraslih. SMETUMET DEJAVNICA Kaj potrebuje mala hiška, da lahko njeni naključni obiskovalci (o)hranijo svojo igrivost, ustvarjalnost in radovednost? Pod vodstvom iskrivih otroških letečih idej bomo skupaj z udeleženci opremili otroško sobo. Sočne napitke in hrustljavo slaščico boste lahko ob klepetu z zanimivo osebo okušali vsak dan festivala. 3 ZELENJAVNA KUHINJA Na poličkah ulične kuhinje se bodo bohotili sadovi narave, ki so jih posadili, obrali in pripravili pridelovalci Zveze združenj ekoloških kmetov Slovenije - BIODAR. Pa dober tek! 4 ŠAHOVSKA PRALNICA Pod krošnjami uličnih dreves bodo zvedave glave članov šahovskega društva Železničar zatopljene v šahovsko igro. Pokukajte k njim tudi vi in se jim pridružite pri partiji. 5 VRTNI PARK V vrtnem parku, v katerem se bodo lesketale različne vrtnine, nas bo z bio seanso alternativnega vrtičkarstva pobližje seznanil kipar Boštjan Kavčič. Vsak dan se bodo izvajale jogijske stoječe vaje v gaju vrtnega parka, ki jih bodo vodili izkušeni člani slovenskih Društev joga v vsakdanjem življenju. V vrtnem parku pa lahko s svojim prenosnikom posedite tudi za hiter prelet po spletnih straneh. 6 NAMIZNI TENIS Ujemite žogico in jo spretno podajte svojemu partnerju, hkrati pa v svojih zmagovalnih potezah prepevajte napev iz predstave, ki vam je ostala v ušesih od minulega večera. 7 DNEVNA SOBA Privoščite si miren oddih v jutranjem soncu ali večernem mraku, ko boste polni pričakovanj jutrišnjega dne sanjali o bodočih in minulih spominih. Ali pa si preprosto dovolite sproščen počitek ob branju zadnjega časnika in festivalske knjižice. Vse odgovore o Zeleni energiji in o tem, koliko energije porabijo vaši majhni ali veliki gospodinjski aparati vam bodo z veseljem ponudili zaposleni z Elektro Ljubljana. 44 8 OGLASNA KOLESARNICA Postavite svoje kolo v stojalo, kjer vas bo počakalo do konca predstave. Če se vam rahla nezgoda pripeti, nič ne de, popravila se bo mimogrede. Če vam je kakšen kos pohištva ali predmet, ki ste ga ošvrknili na Slomškovi ulici, še posebej prirasel k srcu, prilepite listek in napišite, kateri predmet želite imeti v vašem domu po koncu projekta. Dobrodošle so tudi kakšne druge želje, tiste, ki jih podarjate, in tiste, ki jih iščete. 9 PETANKA Dan s prijatelji je lahko lepši, ko se z njimi kosate v metanju balinčkov in krogel. Tekmovanje v vihtenju krogel kot priložnost za krepitev telesa in duha bo izvajala Petankarska ekipa Medvedi iz BŠD Fužine. Vabljeni na igro z državno prvakinjo v petanki Lauro Bračič! Smetumet Worskhop What does a little house have to be like in order to lure random visitors to be playful, creative and curious? Taking sparkling children s ideas as our guide, we will furnish a children s room and look for inspiration amongst ordinary trash, which - without knowing so - we throw into our garbage bins on a daily basis. Bon appétit! 4 CHESS LAUNDRY The inquisitive spirits of the Železničar Chess Society will have their eyes set on the chessboards that are set up under the treetops. Take a look and have a game or two yourself. 5 GARDEN PARK The garden park, filled with various vegetables, will provide the setting for a session of organic alternative gardening with sculptor Boštjan Kavčič. Standing exercises will be performed every day in the grove of the garden park, courtesy of the experienced members of the Društvo joga v vsakdanjem življenju. You may find a sitting spot in the garden park as well - lean back and enjoy surfing the net! 6 TABLE TENNIS Catch the ball and pass it on to your partner in a skilful manner. You may also decide to celebrate your winning moves by singing a tune you heard during a performance the previous night. 7 LIVING ROOM You may enjoy a peaceful rest in the morning sun or evening dawn while carelessly dreaming about your past or future memories, full of expectations about what is yet to come. You may also, on the other hand, have a rest while reading newspaper or festival booklet. The experts from Elektro Ljubljana will be happy to provide you with all the answers about green energy, and also explain how much energy is used by your small and big household devices. Bring you own iron, vacuum cleaner or shaving machine and you may be surprised by the amount of energy they use. Blaž Lokar will present his concept of the new Slomškova street arrangement to those interested. Posters of the new arrangement will be exhibited for the entire week. Possible damages should not worry you they will be fixed and done away with before you know it! In case some piece of furniture or an object on Slomškova Street catches your sight, you can stick a sheet of paper onto it and write down that you want to have it at the end of the project. We will be collecting other kind of requests as well those wanting to give as well as those in search of something. 9 PÉTANQUE A day with friends can become even more beautiful when you spend it competing over who ll be better in throwing the cochonnet and pétanque balls. Prakso, ki ima korenine v godbah, kot sta dub in hip-hop, bosta predstavila na zabaven in igriv način, ob koncu delavnice pa se bodo novopečeni DJ-i predstavili na zaključni zabavi festivala Mladi levi v baru Druga pomoč in pokazali novo pridobljene spretnosti. Everyone aged 10 to 16 is kindly invited to a three-day free DJing workshop, where two recognized DJs (Borka and Bakto) will demonstrate some basics behind record spinning and explain some interesting different points. They will introduce their skill, which emerged from the dub and hip-hop world, in an entertaining and playful way, whereas a new generation of DJs will present their freshly acquired skills at the closing party of the Mladi levi Festival. While learning about the technique of cloth printing and testing colour combinations, the participants will print their own T-shirts.
