In 2018 ur belved building, Old City Hall, turns 125! The building hlds a lng histry as a cmmunity center; that s why we re inviting artists and perfrmers frm the greater Crning cmmunity t use an empty gallery as their labratry and creative gathering place, April 28 May 12, At the heart f this pp-up gallery is a challenge hw can an artist present their visin with nly bare bnes staging? The Rckwell prvides the space and limited equipment the artist brings the space t life. Bare Bnes Café will be a museum experience included with regular admissin prices and pen t any visitrs f the museum. T reduce admissin csts, a shrt-term Rckwell Museum membership may be purchased fr thse wishing t attend thrughut the entire prgram. Cffee, tea, and refreshments will be available t guests as part f the experience. HOW DOES IT WORK? Artists submit a prpsal t be part f the Bare Bnes Café schedule, t be held at The Rckwell during regular museum hurs, daily frm 9 a.m. t 5 p.m. April 28 May 12, The Rckwell will identify acceptable prpsals and set a schedule based n the artist s feedback and availability, with the intentin f having several artists present each day. An artist may prpse as many prjects as they wish r may cllabrate n multiple prpsals. Based n availability, there may be the ptin t present multiple times. The Rckwell will prvide basic equipment as requested. Please see the prpsal guidelines n the next page fr a list f available equipment. All ther materials r equipment must be prvided by the artist and pre-apprved by the Museum. The artist is respnsible fr planning the layut and set-up f the space. T encurage minimalism, nly 15 minutes will be alltted fr set-up and tear-dwn. Perfrmances will be filmed and live-streamed via rckwellmuseum.rg.
