An absolute must-see are the famous Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, one of Europe s most beautiful and best preserved baroque gardens with its recently rebuilt palace. From May to September the stunning international Fireworks Competition takes place here and the world s top pyro-technicians fill the evening sky with explosive artworks of light and music. And during the well-loved Little Festival in the Great Garden dancers, actors and musicians perform here. For an enchanting experience amongst fountains and statues there are special nights throughout the summer when the garden is magically illuminated and classical music takes you back to bygone eras of kings and queens.

5 Welcome note Dear colleagues, The constant progress in plastic surgery has lead to powerful surgical techniques, methods and strategies, of which many more are to be expected in the future. However, in no other surgical field the visibility of the results is that appreciated as in our specialty. The best aesthetic outcome is therefore the ultimate goal for each of us, which imposes a constant challenge on our work and is along the same line one of the driving forces of progress in our specialty. In this 1 st Hannover Masterclass Symposium we want to share with you exclusively the particular challenge of the best aesthetic result in plastic surgery as it relates to patient selection, indications, effective techniques, obsolete procedures and new (non-invasive) technology. Internationally renowned experts will share their experience in lectures of how to achieve the best aesthetic outcome in plastic, reconstructive and burn surgery. A particular focus will be on case presentations and educational videos. All interested plastic surgeons have been invited to submit abstracts of their best case showing solutions in standard and difficult conditions or complications. Intensive discussion shall provide a blueprint to build new efficient strategies in our practice. The world famous and outstanding conference location of the Royal Herrenhausen Castle is just right for the exchange of experience, stimulate new ideas and hopefully to leave us all as better experts in providing the ultimate aesthetic results for our patients.
