2 News 2018 Date of event After last years change, in 2018 we will return to our established event date early May. This date includes a holiday day (May 10th - Christi Himmelfahrt ) which brings more visitors to STROKE. Equipment Due to requests, we will offer a new wall and light system (by a trusted art fair service provider). Furthermore it will be possible to rent additional equipment such as tables, desks etc. Accomodation We re happy to announce the current plans to have a STROKE street food market outside the location to provide more service to our participants and to become even more attractive to visitors. A good service extends the average stay of visitors. Partnership The Munich Kunstfruhling (engl.: art spring ) will be kicked-off in 2018 with the goal to connect more art events at the same date of STROKE. Our first partner will be the already established ARTMUC - a contemporary art fair in Munich. The partnership will bring more press reviews and attract even more art lovers and collectors to visit STROKE. Online Catalogue We will not produce a printed catalogue anymore. Instead all galleries and their artworks will be presented in our new (responsive) website catalogue. Visitors will then have the chance to find all informations for a whole year online.

We wanted to explore new urban spaces and also pay homage to the places of where it all began. The new STROKE site is an extraordinary place that is situated just a couple of minutes away from the heart of Munich. It s combining both the beauty of urban decay and the spirit of a vibrant place that almost got forgotten in a gentrified surrounding.

7 THE STROKE VENUE IN MUNICH The former construction hall for motor-scooters has seen various owners and usages. For more than a decade a famous Munich flea market had it s base in the early 20th century architecture. Since 2012 it was unused due to several public restrictions. This year STROKE has the exclusive option to re-animate the urban decay charms.

Around 1,200 new homes are planned for some 3,000 citizens, with long-term plans for up to 7,000 new jobs.
