1 ARTIST CALL Personal Renaissance PROSPECTUS- Juried Show Prize: 1st Place, 2nd Place and 3rd Place will be selected by the Jury. Art work will be selected by the Jury to enter the show Only artwork selected by the Jury will be exhibited at the Belskie Museum of Art and Science in New Jersey Entry Deadline: February 17, 2017 Theme: Personal Renaissance: Reflect on your past artwork in order to compare to your newer more current artworks. Show how your past ideas and evidence of your personal growth, impacts and inspires your current artwork. Your personal renaissance may even include a leap from one medium to another. Kindly submit 2 works of art, demonstrating the growth/change in your artwork. Your Artist Statement should explain, in maximum of 3 sentences, your philosophy and growth in your artwork. In addition to an Opening Reception, which you will be able to invite your fans, friends and family, ARTIST TALKS will be scheduled where you will be able to discuss your art with other artists in the show. We will be sending an invitation to you listing other artists who will be included in the ART TALK, so you may invite people to see your work and hear you talk about it, and to attend a Q & A. We hope you will let us know if you can invite a group to view the artworks, and we will help you schedule a talk, or an additional showing. In the past, we have hosted art talks for schools, as well as charities. Please use this opportunity to expose viewers and groups to appreciate art, and your approach to creating ART. _ Key Dates: Exhibition Runs from March 5th through March 26th 2017 Entry Deadline: Friday, February 17, 2017 Acceptance via notice by Thursday, February 23rd. Receiving of Selected Artwork: Tues February 28th and Wed March 1st 10Am to Noon Opening Reception and Award Ceremony: Sunday March 5th 1:00 to 5:00PM

February 28th and Wed. March 1st Time: 10am -12:00 Noon To: Belskie Museum of Art and Science, Inc. Pick up your work from Belskie Museum of Art and Science Date: Sunday, March 26th at 5p.m promptly There may be storage charges after the designated pick-up time. EXHIBIT REQUIREMENTS All work must: -Be original and completed by the artist -Be display ready and for sale with 30% gallery commission (sales tax will be collected on all orders). 2 D work must: -Be framed, wired (NO exceptions), and ready to hang. Works on paper must be under glazing (Plexiglas is preferred, especially for larger works.) -Not exceed 65" including frame in any dimension, nor 25 lbs. in weight. 3 D work must: -Include appropriate pedestal, stand and cover if needed -Not exceed 5' in height, 50 lbs and/or occupy more than 2 square feet of floor area (including base and cover) -WRITTEN STATEMENT: Explain your art work and how it has changed, include inspirations and style descriptions, limited to 3 lines. Your name and Title of the Art work must be included in the Written Statement. -ARTIST BIO: Must be delivered as a hard copy on day of delivery. COST TO ENTER -$25 for up to 2 entries. That is 4 pieces as 2 sets. -Artists can enter as many times as they choose, with an additional entry fee for every 2 paintings. Send the following information to -Digital Files of your work: submit via an attachment of each of your entries as JPEGs plus a copy of your Written Statement as well as your Artist Bio to artforlearning@yahoo.com -The Subject (line) of the must be Personal Renaissance (no quotes) -The Message (body) must include the name, address, and phone number of the artist, and enter the following for each item entered: Image Number (1, 2, 3, 4, or 5) Title of the Artwork Medium Size (width x height including frame) Sale Price Digital File Entries: - Should be high quality jpgs. -The label name should be: Title Of Artwork. and match the jpg with space between words. Registration fee must be sent in before deadline date, February 17, Please complete the Belskie Museum of Art and Science Loan Agreement (which will be sent to you) and bring with you at drop-off. 4. Please bring a Hard Copy of your Written Statements as well as your Artist Bio when you drop off your work. Please adhere to the specific times and directions of this prospectus so that the preparations for the exhibit can be completed in a timely and efficient manner. You must pre-register.
