1 VISUAL Monroe Area Council for the Arts MONROE Arts And the ALLIANCE Announces the 2018 SPRING ART SHOW May 31 June 3 APPLICATION General Information: Visual Arts Alliance (VAA) members and students free. Non-members entrance fee is $10 per piece. The show will run 10:00am- 4:00pm, Saturday JUN 2 and 11:00am-3:00pm Sunday, JUN 3. 1) Your work will be exhibited in the Vonore Community Center, Vonore TN. 2) Artists may submit fine art including but not limited to: paintings, drawings, woodwork, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, glass works, photography, fiber arts, etc. 3) All artwork must be the original work of the exhibitor, not previously shown, and done within the last three years. 4) Paintings larger than 24 X 36 must have a freestanding display cannot be hung on walls. 5) Artists may submit up to a maximum of FOUR works. 6) No sales will be permitted during the show. If work is for sale, you may provide price and contact information. 7) All entry forms must be received by FRIDAY MAY 18, ) All artwork must be presented ready to hang/display. Work not ready will not be exhibited. 9) Works may be dropped off anytime from 1:00 4:00pm Thursday May 31 or on Friday Jun 1 between 10:00am 1:00pm and must remain in place until 3:00pm Sunday Jun 3. The VAA reserves the right to reject works deemed inappropriate for this show or does not meet application requirements.

2 10) The show will be judged, and prizes will be awarded in several categories. An awards ceremony will be on Sunday at 2:00pm prior to take down. 11) Artist Reception: Friday Jun 1 there will be a reception for exhibitors at the Vonore Community Center from 7:00 9:00pm. Application Instructions: Description: For each piece submitted - we will need completed/framed sizes, medium. You must provide a photo of each piece to be submitted- ed photos/files preferred. (JPG/PDF) If your work is for sale you may provide a suggested price for our participating artists brochure. However, sales will not be conducted during the show. Any sales will be a private transaction between buyers and sellers after the show. MACA Monroe Arts VAA will not be responsible for any sales conducted because of the show. 5 LIABILITY STATEMENT Neither Monroe Area Council for the Arts (MACA) Visual Arts Alliance nor the municipality of Vonore or the Vonore Community Center will be liable for any damages or loss to you or other persons or property as a result of your participation in the Spring Art Show. This includes, but is not limited to damages or loss caused by nature. In addition, by signing below, you agree to indemnify Monroe Arts(MACA) Visual Arts Alliance, municipality of Vonore or the Vonore Community Center and other participants and to save them harmless for all loss, cost liability, damage and expense including reasonable attorney s fees arising out of the display of the renderings, paintings and works as permitted under this agreement.
