2 INNOVATION SINCE 1877 From our home in Norway, Helly Hansen has been making professional grade gear that helps people stay and feel alive for the last 140 years. In 1877, after many years at sea, Norwegian captain Helly Juell Hansen and his wife, Maren Margarethe, began producing oilskin jackets, trousers, sou westers and tarpaulins, made from coarse linen soaked in linseed oil. Since then, the legacy of Helly Hansen lives on, developing and creating a long list of irst-to-market innovations. To this day, we continue to make gear that is trusted by professionals around the world. Helly Hansen apparel is developed through the insights of the 55,000 professionals living and working in the world s harshest environments and can be seen on ski patrollers, mountain professionals, world-class sailors, skiers and adventurers HELOX - THE NEXT EVOLUTION IN WATERPROOF Helox waterproof fabric featured a thin sheet of translucent PVC plastic that was sewn into coats took to make them waterproof. It was a revolutionary technology that became the must-have protection for outdoor use. With a FIBERPILE - THE TECHNICAL MIDLAYER IS INVENTED production of 30,000 coats each month, the success was almost immediate and was used by the Norwegian delegation at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki Helly Hansen partnered with Norwegian Fiber Pile Inc. and developed the original Fiberpile the first fleece. It featured a high warmth to weight ration and maintained its thermal qualities even when wet, making it a favorite of lumberjacks and outdoor enthusiasts. The concept lives on and the modern version of ProPile is still in production today.

8 HELLY HANSEN AMBASSADORS HELLY HANSEN AMBASSADORS Rode Kruis (The Dutch Red Cross) In 2017, Helly Hansen created bespoke uniforms for the Rode Kruis (Dutch Red Cross), outitting them in emergency situations in the Netherlands, as well as disasters and conlict zones around the world. Norwegian People's aid In 2016, Helly Hansen began outitting Norwegian People's Aid for their irst aid and rescue missions. The key functions of LIFA deliver both moisture management and insulation, moving moisture away from the skin, while transporting perspiration to the surface of the fabric, where it evaporates. In 2006 LIFA was combined with non mulsed Merino wool to create the best performing base layer to date. LIFA is a hydrophobic iber that prohibits the absorption of liquid. The LIFA ibers are used on the irst membrane layer of base layer garments, the layer nearest to the skin. When the irst yarn layer is combined with an additional layer with hydrophilic (moisture absorbing)properties, the sweat from the body is moved away from the skin and transported to the second layer, where it is absorbed. 154 GENERAL SALES, DELIVERY AND PAYMENT TERMS 1. PARTIES This catalogue is a sales tool issued by Helly Hansen AS, ( Helly Hansen or Seller ), company number , whose registered address is at Munkedamsveien 35, N-0250 Oslo, Norway. Helly Hansen s VAT number is The buyer is the company stated as buyer in the Order ( the Order ) Helly Hansen receives (hereinafter the Buyer ). Helly Hansen supplies the products listed in the catalogue. These conditions of sales together with the Order from the Buyer and the Order Conirmation from the Seller constitute the total contractual basis for the purchase (the Agreement ). Shipment of goods may in some cases replace the Order Conirmation. 2. PRICES All prices in the catalogue are recommended retail prices excluding VAT. We reserve the right to make price changes until the Order has been received. Our prices are based on current raw material and production costs. We reserve the right to change our prices due to factors beyond our control until receiving the Order. 3. PAYMENT TERMS. For delayed payments, according to the Agreement, a 1.5% per month interest rate is applied from due date. 4. PRE ORDERS All pre-orders need to be placed before the oficial dead line, communicated in our sales material, by our sales representatives or customer contacts, to be valid. Pre-orders for next season are binding and cannot be cancelled by Buyer/customers. 5. ENTERING INTO THE AGREEMENT For pre-orders, the Seller will send an Order Acknowledgement electronically. At this phase, all orders are subject to acceptance by the Seller. The Order Acknowledgement is not the acceptance of the Order. For both pre-orders and ASAP orders, Seller accepts the order through an ed Order Conirmation. The Buyer shall review the Order Conirmation for any noncompliance with the Order both in terms of numbers, type of product, price and all other conditions etc. Any unaccepted discrepancy between the Order and the Order Conirmation shall be reported to the Seller no later than three (3) business days after receipt. After the above three (3) business days, the Order Conirmation is inal and binding and takes precedence over the Order. 6. RETURNS Conirmed Orders are considered binding. Helly Hansen does not accept returns for non-defective goods. The Buyer is responsible for checking the goods immediately upon receipt, and items can only be returned by an agreement with Helly Hansen s Area Sales Manager or your local Customer operations. The only occasion in which we accept returns, is if an error is caused by Helly Hansen. Upon Helly Hansen s inspection of the returned item, Helly Hansen will decide whether it is a product with defects making the return legitimate. If the return is justiiable, the Buyer will then be credited the full amount, and the freight will be paid by Helly Hansen, unless Helly Hansen chooses the option set out in section 7 below. In case of a potential return as above, all the requirements below should be completed within eight (8) days from receiving the goods; contact your Helly Hansen Area Sales Manager or Customer Operations to document your purchasing date if your return is approved, Helly Hansen s Customer Operations will provide you with a reference number Items must be returned in its original packaging with original labels, and including reference number within 8 days of receipt. Returns that are not agreed upon by Helly Hansen as returnable will not be accepted, and will be returned to the sender s expense. Returns will under no circumstances be approved for sales campaign items or items that have been taken out of production. Agreed and approved returns that involve damaged packaging, or where additional work is required at our warehouse to put the product(s) back in its original condition, will be charged to the Buyer with 20% deduction of the credit note value. 7. CLAIMS FOR REPLACEMENT/REPAIR Helly Hansen has, in addition to accepting a return, cf. section 6, the right to replace or repair the product. Claims must be made immediately and without undue delay, see also section 6 above. We will adhere to warranty legislation guided by each jurisdiction. Helly Hansen s inancial liability for any product defect is always limited to the products value as stated in the Order Conirmation or invoice, and does not include any damage and/or loss caused by the use or processing of the delivered goods or other indirect loss. 8. LOGO We are able provide application of logo. Prices are upon request. Please contact your local customer operation ofice for more information. 9. RESERVATIONS We reserve the right for any typographical errors, errors in the article information, sold-out situation and deviation in the color reproduction of the publication for technical reasons. Note that a product may be temporarily out of stock, in which situation you will be informed about the irst possible delivery date. Helly Hansen works with product development on a continuous product basis and we reserve the right to make improvements to the garment as well as changes to the product range. We reserve the right to change product speciications. 10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND JURISDICTION The parties shall try to settle any disputes amicably. If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, the matter shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the ordinary Norwegian courts. Helly Tech is made either with Hydrophilic barrier membranes or Micro-porous membranes, depending on the end-use purpose of the fabric. WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE MEMBRANE The Hydrophilic barrier works on an osmotic principle, keeping salts from entering and blocking the pores. The Micro-porous PU membranes are hydrophobic- water hating polymers. This membrane construction is responsible for the waterproofness of Helly Tech, making the pores up to times smaller than water droplets, while allowing breathability since the pores are up to 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule, allowing the evaporation of sweat and heat. 170 CE MARKING Helly Hansen Workwear s (PPE) products are manufactured and tested in accordance with the standards which support European Directive (89/686/EEC) and are therefore approved in accordance with CE marking regulations. Helly Hansen workwear is intended to prevent accidents and injuries during work on exposure to cold, heat, ire, rain and in limited visibility. The CE marking refers to a safety level on the product. European Directive (89/686/EEC) is the applicable law for the European member states on the issue of personal protective equipment (PPE). European Directive (89/686/EEG) states as a basic requirement for design and manufacturing that PPE is used to make working conditions safer. PPE REGULATION (EU) 2016/425. From the 21st of April 2018, the Directive 89/689/EEC will be replaced by PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425. 171 HELLY HANSEN WORKWEAR 2018 STANDARDS ISO 13688:2012 GENERAL PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS HIGH VISIBILITY CLOTHING ISO 13688:2012 speciies general performance requirements for ergonomics, innocuousness, size designation, ageing, compatibility and marking of protective clothing and the information to be supplied by the manufacturer with the protective clothing. ISO 13688:2012 is only intended to be used in combination with other standards containing requirements for speciic protective performance and not on a stand-alone basis. This standard speciies requirements for protective clothing capable of signaling the user s presence visually, intended to provide conspicuity of the user in high risk situations under any light conditions by day and under illumination by vehicle headlights in the dark. High Visibility products maintain demands in EN ISO which is the European norm for visibility clothing. Garments approved according EN ISO shall have waistcoat pictogram. The number beside the pictogram (here X) indicates the garment class. Clothing classes are scaled after minimum-demand for area of luorescent and relective material at each separate garment. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING CLOTHING TO PROTECT AGAINST HEAT AND FLAME This standard speciies performance requirements for garments made from lame retardant materials, which are designed to protect the wearer s body, except the hands and feet, from heat and/or lame. All antilame products approved to ISO 11612, should be marked with CE and antilame-pictogram. The letters below the pictogram shows which exposures the garment the garment protects against. At least one other property, B to F shall be included, where each letter is followed by a number, indicating the level of performance achieved. Number 1 indicates the lowest level of performance which is acceptable. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING PROTECTION AGAINST HEAT AND FLAME. LIMITED FLAME SPREAD MATERIALS, MATERIAL ASSEMBLES AND CLOTHING. This standard speciies the performance requirements for the limited lame spread properties of materials, material assemblies and protective clothing in order to reduce the possibility of the clothing burning and thereby itself constituting a hazard. The garment protects the user against heat and lame spread, according European standard EN ISO The material(s) complies with ISO indexes 0/0/0 - limited lame spread index / number of washes with letter H, I or C / washing temperature H - domestic wash, I - industrially wash, C - dry-clean The limited lame spread index 1: does not spread lame but may form a hole on contact with lame. Index 2: does not spread lame, does not form a hole on contact with a lame. Index 3: does not spread lame and does not form a hole on contact with lame, and give only limited afterlame. Garment approved according index 1 shall not be used next to the skin, and shall only be used together with garments approved according to index 2 or 3. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING LIVE WORKING. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING AGAINST THE THERMAL HAZARDS OF AN ELECTRIC ARC. This standard speciies methods to test material and garments intended for use in heat- and lame-resistant clothing for workers exposed to electric arcs. Clothing fulilling this standard, ensures that the consequences of workers, after exposure to electric arcs, will not be aggravated by the clothing itself. The test methods are divided into two parts : Method 1 = Testing of material. Method 2 = testing of clothing. The material and clothing are divided into two classes : Class 1 = 4 ka. Class 2 = 7 ka. All Material used in the clothing shall at least pass the Class 1 test. Multi-layer and combinations garments have to be tested: They must also meet the following criteria: - Burning time - 5s - No melting true the inner side - No hole bigger than max 5mm in every direction (in the innermost layer). Wear the garment properly closed. The protection effect can only be reached by a combination of jacket and trousers. Use additional equipment (gloves, helmet, visor, etc.) for complete protection. 172 STANDARDS PROTECTIVE CLOTHING PROTECTION AGAINST RAIN This standard speciies requirements and test methods applicable to materials and seams of protective clothing against the inluence of precipitation (e.g. rain, snowlakes), fog and ground humidity at temperatures down to 5 C. The garment is tested regards to waterproofness (X) and water vapour resistance (Y) X - Resistance to water penetration, level 1, 2 or 3 (where 3 protects best against rain) Y - Water vapour resistance, level 1, 2 or 3 (level 3 most permeable) PROTECTIVE CLOTHING ENSEMBLES AND GARMENTS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST COLD. The standard speciies test methods and requirements of functional properties in garments which are intended to protect against cold (air temperature below -5 C). Helly Hansen has tested its products according to method B, which means that the insulation (X) has been measured for a garment combination (jacket/pant or coveralls) with a base layer. In addition, air permeability (Y) is measured. X (B) - thermal insulation Y - air permeability class (classes 1-3, where class 3 protects best against wind) PROTECTIVE CLOTHING GARMENTS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST COOL ENVIRONMENTS. This standard speciies requirements and test methods for performance of single garments for protection against cooling of the body in cool environment (air temperature of -5 C and above). All garments approved according to EN shall be marked with pictogram indicating that protection against cool environment is offered with the appropriate performance level: Y - Thermal resistance class (classes 1-3) PROTECTIVE CLOTHING ELECTROSTATIC PROPERTIES EN 1149 covers the requirements of properties and test methods for measurement of protection against static electricity and the discharge process. EN speciies requirements and test methods for materials intended to be used in the manufacturing of electrostatic dissipative protective clothing (or gloves) to avoid incendiary discharge. EN speciies a test method for measuring the electrical vertical resistance of protective clothing materials- This European standard is not applicable for specifying protection against mains voltages. EN speciies methods for measuring the dissipation of electrostatic charge from the surface of materials for garments. This test method is applicable to all materials, including homogeneous materials and inhomogeneous materials with surface conducting ibres and core conducting ibres. EN speciies material and design requirements for electrostatic dissipative protective clothing, used as part of a total earthed system, to avoid incendiary discharges. The requirements may not be suficient in oxygen enriched lammable atmospheres. This European standard is not applicable for protection against mains voltages. The material must meet the requirements set out in EN or PROTECTS AGAINST ULTRAVIOLET RAYS. 172 STANDARDS

173 HELLY HANSEN WORKWEAR 2018 STANDARDS ISO LEVEL 150N HELLY HANSEN LIFEJACKETS These lifejackets provide face-up lotation with levels of support suficient for various open and rough waters uses. Life jackets have a buoyancy distribution suficient to turn most users, when tested on users wearing swimming costumes according to ISO 12402, to a position where the mouth has a deined freeboard above water s surface even when the user is unconscious. ISO give guidance on the design and application of personal lotation devices (PFD) for persons engaged in activities, whether in relation to their work or their leisure, in or near water. PFDs manufactured selected and maintained to this standard should give a reasonable assurance of safety from drowning to a person who is immersed in water. Helly Hansen Work Wear sells PFDs that do not require intervention (automatically operating PFDs). They are suited to activities where persons are likely to enter the water unexpectedly, whereas PFDs requiring intervention e.g. manually inlated PFDs are only suitable for use if the user believes there will be suficient time to produce full buoyancy, or help is close at hand. In every circumstance, the user should ensure that the operation of the PFD is suited to the speciic application. The conformity of a PFD to the part of ISO does not imply that it s suited for all circumstances. Under certain conditions such as rough water and waves, the use of watertight and multilayer clothing, which provide intentionally or otherwise additional buoyancy, or the use of equipment with additional weight such as tool belts will likely alter the performance of the PFD. Users, owners and employers need to ensure that this is taken into account when selecting a PFD. Similarly, PFDs may not perform as well in extremes of temperatures, although fully approved. PFDs may also be affected by other conditions of use, such as chemical exposure and welding, and may require additional protection. The user has to be assured that the PFD will not be adversely affected. The relative amount of required inspection and maintenance is a factor of paramount importance in the choice and application of speciic PFDs. Its potential length of service often depends on the conditions of use and storage, which are the responsibility of the owner, user and /or employer. ISO Level 150 N Life jackets performance level 150 is intended for general offshore and rough weather use where a high standard of performance is required. It is essential that the owner, user and employers choose PFDs that meet the correct standard for the circumstances in which they will be used. PFD needs to be secured when worn in order to provide positive support in the water and to allow the user to swim or actively assist himself or others. No PFD guarantees rescue but is seen as means to reduce the risk of drowning. STANDARDS 173
