1 St. Gabriel Schl DRESS CODE The purpse f the dress cde is t cntribute t an atmsphere that is cnducive t the missin f St. Gabriel Schl. At all times, students are expected t dress in an apprpriate manner that is cmfrtable yet maintains the spiritual, educatinal, and scial envirnment f St. Gabriel Schl, nt causing distractins r inapprpriate example. We need parental cperatin/partnership in rder t maintain unifrm standards in tday s casual wrld. Yu will nte that we have a few different variatins f the everyday dress unifrm in place. Our yungest members wear navy shirts and khaki bttms in JR. Kindergarten and the Kindergarteners wear light blue shirts s that we all immediately recgnize them and prvide them with extra care. In JR. High, GR 6-8, ur yung men wear khaki pants, white dress shirts, ties and navy vests and ur yung ladies wear the skirt, bluse and navy sweater vest r navy banded pl t identify them as the leaders f the schl. T maintain unifrm standards while allwing fr student cmfrt in the winter mnths, students are asked t wear their ptin f a schl lg sweatshirt, plain navy cardigan r pullver sweater nly. Our ptinal St. Gabriel Schl jacket and pants warm-up suit has been very well received. During Octber-April the jacket must be wrn if the student is electing t wear the warm-up suit n gym day. Als, the warm-up suit may nly be purchased frm Schlbelles. Students must abide by the dress cde, whether regular unifrm, gym unifrm, ptinal unifrm r nn-dress unifrm as directed fr varius events, frm the time they arrive n campus until they leave the building after schl. Students nt abiding by the dress cde will receive a dress cde referral and may be asked t rectify imprper dress befre attending class, which culd result in an absence. Three dress cde referrals result in a detentin. The administratin has final say cncerning the dress cde. NOTE: All plaid jumpers, skirts, girls banded navy pls and St. Gabriel jacket & pants warm-up suits must be purchased frm Schlbelles. Schl sweatshirts als available. Wrn during permitted ut-f-unifrm days such as birthdays, picture day, field trips, rewards, spirit days, any ther dress dwn days designated by the Principal, r any days due t serius individual student needs such as physical injuries r surgery. N tank, sleeveless, r narrw strap tps, unless under a shirt tp with sleeves. N tps that are revealing, have lw-cut necklines, r expse bare midriffs when sitting, stretching, stping, etc. N sweatpants, pajama pants, yga pants, knit pants, jeggings, tear-away pants, r any pants with writing n the back. Pants may nt be wrn lw-waisted r sagging, and the bttm edge f the hem f the pants must cme belw the knee. Skirts and dresses shuld be apprpriate in length, n shrter than slightly abve the knee. Walking shrts r lng gym shrts may be wrn. Extra shrt shrts may nt be wrn (eg. Vlleyball type shrts). Shes may be schl, athletic, r dress. N pen backs (flip flps r sandals) r shes with wheels. N inapprpriate wrds, designs r pictures n any clthing. On Spirit Days r ther special celebratin days, Spirit/Grizzly Wear may be wrn. Students withut spirit wear may wear schl clrs r ther apprpriate shirts. If tights/leggings are wrn, a lng tp must be wrn ver the tights r leggings belw mid-thigh in length.
