2 Rodebjer Spring / Summer 2016 a room of one s own The RODEBJER Spring Summer 2016 collection combines serenity with subtle richness, playfulness and sophistication. Focusing on a woman who creates her own space in the world a room for peace of mind and imagination. She is privileged in the choices she makes and in the way she lives her life. The collection offers her a range of calm: monochromatic looks with a richness that is eccentric and tranquil at the same time. Staying true to the roots of Rodebjer, we have followed longtime Rodebjer collaborator, artist and illustrator Liselotte Watkins and let her refined yet unpretentious world of aesthetics inspire us. Her abstract collage print is a key component in the collection a striking block print made from paper cut outs transferred to a luxe washed silk. Mixing the bold and the serene, in prints as well as materials, the collection speaks of modernism as well as classical ornamented architecture, surrounded by nature grown wild. The silhouette is built upon geometric shapes that meet fluid and slouchy fits designs that moves easily from day into night. Fringes and ribbons add a hint of playfulness and movement. A range of earthy and sophisticated colors tie the different influences together. A family of indigo hues form a balanced background to crisp whites, defining blacks and icy mint and silver. Natural materials such as straw, cotton and silk are mixed with refined and charmingly wild surfaces. Luxurious poplin cottons are combined with white embroidery. Designed for a sophisticated and refined woman of the world, the collection is pure and eccentric with a timeless touch, playful in its combinations and soothing in its serenity.
