3 What is a Fad? A temporary, passing fashion, it is an item or look that has great appeal to many people for a short period of time Often an accessory Provides a feeling of adventure as well as a sense of belonging

4 Style A particular design, shape or type of apparel item It is determined by the distinct features that create its overall appearance Are repeated throughout history

5 Trend The direction in which a fashion is moving Shown by the general direction that a silhouette takes Shape of clothing style that is formed by the width and length of the neckline, sleeves, waistline, and pants or skirts

6 What is in your Wardrobe? It consist of all apparel a person owns, including all garments and accessories Accessories Are added to complete or enhance an outfit Are secondary items
