For the 2012 spring/summer collection we have drawn our inspiration from the beauty of the landscapes and towns of North Africa. Fascinated by the infinite colours and shapes of Morocco, we should like to take you away on a trip through North Africa: the snow-covered peaks of the Atlas mountains, the fertile plains of the Medesa, semi-desertlike steppes, the sand dunes of the Sahara and the lush oases of the Sous basin all of this is reflected in the new Roeckl collection. Both the city of Tanger, the gateway to Africa, and the bazaars of Marrakech served as a source of inspiration and an inexhaustible pool of shapes and colours. The collection thus created offers a striking array of elaborate oriental patterns: summer canvas and canvas mixtures, light chiffon and georgette qualities flatter the sun-kissed skin with radiant Lagoon, powerful Indigo and intense Tangerine as well as gentle earthen and pastel colours. Soft leather is elaborately woven and knotted, while delicate perforations and oriental stylistic elements decorate the gloves, bags and small leather accessories of the new collection.
