The American Girl Fashion Show is a fun-filled affair for girls and their families, friends and favorite dolls!

The entire show is performed by local children to help raise money and awareness for services for children with disabilities.

We are looking for girls with poise, confidence and a smile that would enjoy walking down a runway in front of an audience.

If your daughter has outgrown American Girl, please share this information with family and friends that may have girls interested in modeling. Unfortunately, American Girl Publishing Inc.

Richards St. Joliet Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11am and 4pm Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 4pm Don t Miss Our Final Year! The American Girl Fashion Show is a fun-filled affair for girls and their families, friends and favorite dolls! Our young models provide an entertaining and educational look at how generations of American Girls have used clothing to express their own unique style and personality. The entire show is performed by local children to help raise money and awareness for services for children with disabilities. The event is open to the public and is a great way to celebrate the upcoming holiday. We are looking for girls with poise, confidence and a smile that would enjoy walking down a runway in front of an audience. If your daughter is interested in being a model, please return the enclosed 2016 American Girl Fashion Show Commitment Form and payment by Thursday, October 6, If your daughter has outgrown American Girl, please share this information with family and friends that may have girls interested in modeling. Unfortunately, American Girl Publishing Inc. announced they will no longer be offering their Fashion Show to not for profit charitable organizations. So, the curtain will close at the end of our 19 th year hosting the American Girl Fashion Show to the surrounding communities. Be a part of this celebratory event! Important Requirements: Because this is a fundraiser, families of each model are asked to purchase a minimum of 5 tickets ($40 each) to the show AND pay a Model Fee ($60). The Model Fee includes ONE professional picture taken at the show and ¼ page ad in the program guide. If you have 2 daughters modeling in the show, the Model Fee is $70 and you will receive 2 pictures and 2 ¼ page ads. Model fee is due October 6 th and tickets must be paid at the October fittings. Models must attend one fitting and one dress rehearsal. Schedule is enclosed. The fashions worn during the actual Fashion Show will be provided by American Girl Programs and are sizes 6x and 10. Models must fit a size 6/7 (Bitty Baby and Welliewishers Outfits) or size 10 (Historical, Just Like Me outfits and sleepwear). See size chart for measurements. There will also be a limited number of modeling opportunities for girls of other sizes, where models must purchase their own outfit that will be assigned to them. Models will not choose their own outfits to model. Models will be required to supply footwear and accessories depending on their assigned outfit. Models must be able to be away from parents during the show and feel comfortable walking a runway in front of 200 people.

2 Parents must volunteer to help at the show. During the show we need help with greeting guests, check-in, and photos. Please sign up to help in one of these ways at the October fitting. Please make sure you provide a valid address that you check frequently. The majority of our communications will be via . We will send you an acknowledgement when your form and payment have been received. Additional Information Models are chosen on a first received basis. Please return your commitment form and model fee by September 15 th in order to reserve your show preference. Special pricing for organized groups (10 or more girls) is available. Please call ext. 2 for details. We will determine the size of your model based on the measurements you send in. Due to the line up in the script, size 10 models will wear a minimum of 2 outfits and size 6/7 models will wear 1 outfit. If your model wears a size 6/7 and you would like her to model 2 outfits, YOU must purchase the second outfit in her size. This arrangement MUST be made prior to Spetember 15 th. Please call Teresa Summers at ext.2 to discuss. Models do not come into the ballroom at all except when they are onstage. You do not need to buy your daughter a ticket to the event, as she will not be able to sit with you. No food or drinks will be allowed backstage at the show or during rehearsal to ensure the look of all the clothing on loan to us by American Girl Programs, Inc. Please ensure models have eaten before they arrive. The models will be given a light snack. Please share this information with family and friends that may have girls interested in modeling. There is also an opportunity for guest models. Form is enclosed. Each show includes a meal, an American Girl goodie bag for children, program book for adults, door prizes, souvenirs, and raffle prizes. (A hot plated meal will be served at all the shows. There are no kid meals.) The clothing and dolls used during the fashion show are provided by American Girl Programs, Inc. and should be worn exactly as described in the 2016 fall fashion show script. Some outfits may require that the model provide their own footwear, tights, or hair bows. All models wearing nightgowns are required to wear slips underneath to ensure modesty. Once models are cast with an assigned outfit, you will receive further details on completing the overall look. There are 10 guests seated at each table. Priority seating is given to families that purchase 10 tickets. There is NO videography allowed during rehearsals or the shows per the contractual licensing agreement with the American Girl Fashion Show Program. These sizes are based upon measurements determined by the American Girl Company and do not correlate to the sizes you might find in a retail store. If your daughter s measurements are not the exact size of the outfits provided to us by American Girl Programs, you will be required to purchase an outfit from American Girl for your daughter to model in our fashion show. If your daughter is a size 6/7 and would like to model 2 outfits, you will be required to purchase an outfit from American Girl for your daughter to model in our fashion show. The outfit will be yours to keep after the show. The outfit will be contemporary clothing, so your daughter can wear it as part of her regular wardrobe following the show. Easterseals will select the specific outfit for you to purchase based on the needs of the show. The price range for complete outfits is approximately $50 to $120.
