1 TEXTINATION NEWSLINE SUMMER IN THE CITY: WELCOME TO BERLIN FASHION WEEK JULY 2014 Twice a year Berlin becomes an international location for fashion and lifestyle topics. During the Berlin Fashion Week, fashion enthusiasts, buyers, trade experts and the media interact at shows and awards ceremonies, collect information at fashion trade shows and attend exhibitions and off-site events. Highlights from July 08-13, 2014 include BREAD & BUTTER, the leading international trade fair for street and urban wear, which will takes place from July 08-10, 2014 at the legendary Tempelhof Airport, The fashion show PREMIUM in the STATION Berlin and PANORAMA in the Berlin ExpoCenter City as well as the shows of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, exclusively this year in the Erika- Hess-Eisstadion. The ordering platform for high fashion SHOW & ORDER; the streetwear fair BRIGHT, the New York Trade Show (capsule) as well as the fair for PlusSize fashion "curvy is sexy" round out the the diverse fair program. Berlin will again show its 'green-fashion' side this season introducing the newest trends and discussing current questions revolving around ecological design. Among this week's eco-shows are: GREENshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show as well as the fashion shows for Fashionistas Showfloor Berlin and Lavera Showfloor. 2 PANORAMA BERLIN Berlin ExpoCenter City Jafféstraße / Entrance South Berlin Panorama DNA The heart of Panorama Berlin continues to be the marketplace concept: bringing together leading international women s and men s collections, shoe and accessory brands into one inspiring brand mix, stimulating active interchange in the trade, and in so doing, creating the perfect environment for exhibitors and buyers alike. THE MALL (Hall 1) With THE MALL, launched during the Fall/Winter 2014/2015 Season, Panorama Berlin presents a unique area for fashion franchise concepts. Here, amid the look and feel of an upscale shopping mall, complete with integrated quiet zones and gastronomic offerings, various international brands will present their diverse franchise models and store concepts, from flagship to shop-in-shop. THE HOTEL (Hall 6) Spread over 1,500 square meters in a separate area of Hall 6, Panorama Berlin creates a pre-built area for select women s and men s collections, shoes and accessories in the ambience of a luxury hotel. Separated into two core areas, the Lobby and Suites THE HO- TEL offers a choice between suites of various sizes and an open area, the Lobby, which adapts easily to the needs of the exhibitor with variable square meters. Communications epicenter of the Lobby is the Taittinger bar. First class services from doorman to room service round out THE HOTEL in style and support exhibitors in their trade fair business. Just like the products and collections that are shown here, THE HO- TEL is an expression of individuality and modernity, a mélange of contemporary elegance and sophistication that communicates the philosophy of modern design and style. With THE HOTEL, Panorama Ber- Panorama Fashion Fair Berlin GmbH lin creates a separate area for high quality innovative collections. With the move to the ExpoCenter City, Panorama Berlin bids farewell to the old glamour of the grand hotels and gives THE HOTEL a completely new modern look. NOW (Hall 7A) In cooperation with the Denim Deluxe Fashion Group, Panorama Berlin presents a new segment called NOW an area exclusively reserved for flash-order collections like Please, Imperial, Bray Steve Alan, Absolut Joy, Me&Macs, etc. What is currently in demand, what still offers potential, where is urgent catching-up needed? These are the questions that Panorama Berlin s new NOW concept is dedicated to answering. In July 2014, in 2

3 its very own own hall, Panorama Berlin NOW will present flash order collections selected women s and men s collections, shoes and accessories with just a six week delivery time. Through direct purchasing at the time of need, retailers can thus better react to the demands of customers, expand the existing line of merchandise with important trend themes and seasonal must haves. Kraftwerk Berlin-Mitte Köpenicker Strasse 70, Berlin New Show&Buy area for fast sales - Innovative area concept, new labels and inspiring pop-up store The focus is on order - Show&Order offers highquality collections, a fine and selective presentation area in a spectacular location. Over 250 international labels will find here a very special setting for trends, inspiration, networking and business with a distinctive aesthetic expectation. Looking back on five successful editions, Show&Order continues to grow and remains true to its principles: quality rather than quantity and individuality instead of anonymity. The sixth edition of Show&Order in Kraftwerk Berlin-Mitte gets a new range of high-quality immediate-programs that respond quickly, flexibly and dynamically to the needs of the market. A team of international fashion scouts will guide the "Show&Buy"- Area. "We want to present collections, with which the trade can generate sales in a short time. In terms of fashionable actuality and short processing paths the labels offer the optimal precondition to complete the classic preorder portfolio. In addition they form a counterpoint to the vertical providers and offer a way to earn good money." In a new area of the Kraftwerk around 25 labels such as Made for loving, No-Na, View, Biancoghiaccio, Zinga, NYLN TIGR, Paul Brown design and much more will present themselves. As reliable partner they deliver actually goods to the trade in a short term to match the needs of the current season. "Here we offer a real added value to the retailer and the right concept for the current market trends," exhibition chief Verena Malta explains. 4 Charity: Show&Order and Miss Goodlife for the Christoph Metzelder Foundation In addition to the innovations of the "Show&Buy" Area for high-quality immediate programs and a pop-up store in front of the Kraftwerk Berlin-Mitte, attention at the Show&Order No.6 should be given on social involvement this year. According to the motto "Designed to do good" the Show&Order team, led by exhibition chief Verena Malta together with the hip fashion brand Miss Good Life, will offer a charity T- shirt. "Charity is our concern and children are our future. The Christoph Metzelder Foundation is dedicated to disadvantaged youth with an emphasis on education projects and child poverty. With the sale of the charity shirts we want to support the great work of the foundation and are very pleased about the cooperation," Verena Malta said. The price of the 100% Cotton T-shirt is EUR 0,29 and it is available at the charity booth of the Christoph Metzelder Foundation. A yellow heart decorates the front of the upper part and reflects the love to the project. The yield of the sale goes for 100% to the promotion work of the Christoph Metzelder Foundation, so that various, ongoing projects can be developed and expanded. WHITE LABEL VELODROM Paul-Heyse-Straße / S-Bahn Landsberger Allee 26, Berlin WHITE LABEL - The international sourcing fair during the Berlin Fashion Week Following the successful completion of the second edition of WHITE LABEL in July 2013, WHITE LABEL will now present international apparel suppliers for the third time during the Berlin Fashion Week. In order to accommodate the increasing number of exhibitors, the VELODROM was selected to host the show in WHITE LABEL reaches out to label manufacturers as well as to the retail and trading sectors. The exhibition will cover a wide range of medium to high-end products from selected countries world-wide. Extensive information on the exhibitors are available for visitors of Berlin s apparel sourcing fair. During the Fashion Week, WHITE LABEL presents 100 exhibitors from China, India and Moldova. For the third time, European buyers can directly meet international apparel suppliers at the Velodrom. 4

5 The Exhibitors Catalogue is now available as download on Next to 68 manufacturers from China, the National Pavilion of India presents 20 companies while the Moldovan Pavilion hosts 10 exhibitors. The share of non-chinese exhibitors has thus reached 35%, the highest level since inauguration in Fair Director Sven Eriskat is satisfied with the exhibitors portfolio: We are happy with the product and geographical coverage exhibitors at WHITE LABEL offer. However, we could not achieve a sharp increase in the number of companies presented. This is what we will target in the future, namely to offer an ever wider product portfolio. WHITE LABEL will yet again cover the entire product portfolio of Womenswear, Menswear, Childrenswear and Accessories. Visitors can find suitable exhibitors prior to the fair by browsing the online catalogue or by using the online search function. The catalogue provides information on products, services, capacities, order volumes, shipping times and certifications. Via the online search, exhibitors can be searched and selected. The trade fair aims at providing buyers with useful tools to make their visit of WHITE LABEL during the Berlin Fashion Week as efficient as possible. Textination 5
