Skin care and other beauty brands offered more GWP, empty containers than fragrances. Harrods in particular had only gift sets in store and were the same as other stores, nothing different. Feedback From Beauty Assistant STORE Debenhams BEAUTY BRAND OR DEPARTMENT COMMENTS Fragrances/Beauty - Not many GWP during this Christmas period, mainly only gift sets during this time, sometimes a pouch is included. -GWP most of the time is displayed in store around the fragrance and clearly visible to customers. Smaller concessions keep GWP behind counter but have a show card. -Marc Jacobs Decadence is the biggest displays at the moment. - Deals / promotions are key in purchase decisions, more during this time. Fragrances/Beauty - Not many GWP during this Christmas period, mainly only gift sets during this time, sometimes a pouch is included in sets such as YSL, Versace, Clarins, Clinique. John Lewis Fragrances/Beauty - Will not see many GWP during this time of the year, mainly only gift sets due to Christmas, sometimes a pouch is included but sometimes only lotions or creams etc. -Gift sets sell fast during Christmas, GWP stock does not come in as the focus is on gift sets, some of which have some pouches or accessories inside box packaging, vs a large bag on display which normally GWP would be displayed. Boots Fragrances/Beauty - GWP are more popular after Christmas and normally around Feb. Don t get any coming in during Christmas, as only gift sets come in. Fragrances -During this Christmas time they do not receive GWP in store only had 2 small pouches in the back but were willing to give them away with any thing purchased, only gift sets during this time, sometimes a pouch is included. Online will have some more selection of GWP sets -GWP usually displayed around the store quite high up or in glass cabinet visible to customer -Gift sets are just as influential as GWP as sets also have lotions or gels included so they benefit from this rather than single purchase of bottle. House of Fraser The Perfume Shop The Fragrance Shop Fragrances -GWP don t come into store around Christmas, they normally come around Feb. -The gift sets are normally priced same or similar to single bottle and therefore gift sets sell well as extras are included. Sometimes pouches or wallets are in the sets, sometimes only lotions or shower gels.
