29 Overview Sew and Tell 2019 The Sure-Fit Designs Sewing & Design Sew and Tell 2019 is a year-long event to encourage designing and construction of garments using the Sure-Fit-Designs (SFD) system of fitting, designing, and sewing. Your personal body blueprint is your ticket to designing any style of clothing that you can be assured will fit you. Sure-Fit Designs encourages you to set sewing project goals now and work toward achieving those goals throughout Use this Sew and Tell Project Planner to set goals, plan projects, and track your progress throughout the year. We also ask that you share photos of your completed garments to serve as inspiration for other SFDers. As an additional incentive, SFD may award prizes via periodic random drawings throughout the year. If you are just now learning about Sure-Fit Designs, or if you just need a refresher, please visit the SFD web site at for tons of valuable information. How to Participate Register to participate in the Sew and Tell 2019 event on the Sure-Fit Designs web site (surefitdesigns.com/pages/sfd-sewing-design-sewandtell-2019-info). You must include your name, address, and country to allow us to contact you if you are drawn for a prize. We will assign you an anonymous 2019 Sew and Tell ID to use when posting photos of your garments. Start using this Project Planner. Design and construct garments throughout the year using the SFD fitting and sewing system. Use any or all of the 5 SFD designing kits (i.e., Dress Kit, Unisex Shirt Kit, Pants Kit, Men s Pants Kit, or the Children s Kit). Take a photo of each garment you make, preferably on the intended wearer (rather than on a mannequin, dress form, hanger, etc.). Post your finished garment photos to Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest. Please include the following information in each post description: Your 2019 Sew and Tell ID Hashtag #sewandtell2019 (no spaces, no caps, no hypens) SFD Design Kit(s) Used Design Inspiration This can be anything that gets your creative juices flowing; examples include ready-to-wear, photos in magazines or on the internet, commercial patterns, etc. Optionally, you can include a description of important design details and/or your design process. Alternatively, you can your photos along with the information listed in #5 above to SewandTell2019@gmail.com. Please specify if you prefer us not to post your photos to any social media. If you win a prize, you must agree to allow Sure-Fit Designs to use your project photo in promotional material, including but not limited to the SFD web sites, social media, print materials, etc. Please let us know if you do not want your name and/or face included with the photo. Please post up to 2 photos per project only; if possible please create a single photo collage of the various views you want to show for your garment.
